[ Hera feels, for lack of a better term, detached from everything that's going on around her. It's not really her fault, given all she's been through lately. It might be for the best, though, because at least she's not panicking. No, in general she's feeling mostly numb. So she seemingly takes her arrival, and the infodump provided, in stride, and before she knows it, she's wandering the streets of this strange city that seems to be nowhere near Lothal or any other place she's familiar with in the galaxy.
She's stuck. Grounded. And people are staring at her like - like she's some kind of freak. Have none of them ever seen a Twi'lek before? ]
What are you looking at?
[ Her voice isn't defensive, it's mostly - dull. But there's an underlying hardness, as well. A certain amount of suspicion, like she doesn't trust anyone here.
Eventually, she finds her way to a series of shops and small cafes, and when she gets a whiff of something - baking bread or a pastry of some sort - she makes a nauseated face and turns away from the smell, her brow furrowing a little. There must be somewhere to sit down, right? Maybe she just needs to sit down. ]

I need the services of a medical doctor familiar with non-human biology. I'll come to you.

I... suppose so. All things considered. It's more than a little disorienting, waking up here.
[ Being kidnapped, she doesn't quite voice aloud. ]

[Which may or may not mean anything to her, but she isn't here alone.]
I'm from Naboo myself, Senator for the planet, but there are others from different planets. And different times, I fear.

Yeah, I'm finding that out. Clone Wars?
no subject
[Not that long though. Yet she also knows of what transpires after. Of a man she once trusted becoming Emperor.]

[ Hera takes a long look at the woman, as if trying to assess her trustworthiness. Well - she's a Republic Senator. What can she do with this information here, anyway? ]
My father is Cham Syndulla. He fought against the Separatists, on Ryloth.

[That much she can remember.]
Although not as a fighter against the Separatists. As one with qualms against the Republic, and your planet's Senator.

My father has fought all his life for a free and independent Ryloth. Orn Free Taa was always corrupt and cares more for lining his pockets than the welfare of his own people.
[ Judging by the contempt in her voice as she says the name, she clearly shares her father's views. ]
But when the Separatists tried to take control, the Jedi sent aid. He's always admired the Jedi.

[Padmé is aware that there are those Senators who care little for their planet and their people, and more about selling themselves to the highest bidder. Thankfully, she has been surrounded by those who are like minded to her.]
The Jedi are to be admired for their role.
[Even if she has just butted heads with them before arriving here.]

[ Hera isn't super keen on talking about the Jedi just now, either. But she brought it up - it's her own fault. ]
But I agree. I grew up, hearing stories about them.

I have heard some of what the future entails. An Empire. Led by Palpatine.
no subject
[ When, according to her father, one tyrant was replaced by another, but that's neither here nor there. Whatever the Republic had been, it no longer exists. There's only the Empire, and the Empire has to fall. ]

[ For right now, Hera thinks she knows enough to be getting on with. Maybe a little too much, on the whole. She's still trying to work through everything she's found out since arriving here. ]

[She knows how this place can be, and she had been lucky to have familiar faces here.]
