003 | Search and Rescue
Who: Hanzo Shimada & [OPEN]
Where: Outside of Fayren and then Favnir Ruins in Fayren
When: Afternoon moving towards evening
What: Hanzo was approached by a citizen of Genessia to save their child who has gone missing near the Ruins in Fayren. Hanzo needs money so he's taking the request, intending to do it alone. This is not how things go
Rating: E. No warnings right now, will update if needed.
[A]Preparation
[Hanzo isn't one to take something lightly, and while he's also not exactly someone to go out and rescue a stranger's child, he's been offered enough money to do it and finds that he can't keep his conscience clear knowing there was a child that was in trouble and he did nothing. So here he is, currently at what amounts to an adventurer's outfitting store, gathering a few essentials he figures he might need.
Since he currently has his bow and a full quiver of arrows on his back, he cuts an imposing looking silhouette, especially considering the dour expression seemingly permanently affixed to his facial features. As it stands now, Hanzo is pouring over different sorts of health snacks, and a first aid kit. Already set aside are a couple of blankets and perhaps a coat that is decidedly child sized.]
"Will there be anything else, sir?"
...No. This will do. [Hanzo pulls out money to pay—thankfully he'd been prepaid by the man hiring him—and turns to leave in one fluid motion, supplies tucked under one arm. At least unless he bumps into someone. If no one stops him to ask questions, he leaves in a quick fashion.]
[B] At the Ruins
[Damn. He should have thought of this when he'd taken up this request. Currently, Hanzo was in a bit of a pickle, ducked behind a large tree while several dire wolves approached. Beyond them was a very, very large stone golem, its eyes glowing in the dark that Hanzo had THOUGHT would offer him cover. It did not offer as much as he thought. Quickly pulling out a different arrow than before, Hanzo pulls the string back on his bow and lines up his shot. He fires, missing the wolves and golem entirely. Luckily, it seems that this is what he wanted to do, as the arrow begins to pulse rhythmically, offering a faint glow over any moving objects.
It makes the monsters a lot easier to see, even ones Hanzo had not noticed. What's more, is if anyone is paying attention is that in the far distance the shape of a small crumpled child can be made out through the darkness. Hanzo has a long way to go. Well, hanzo, and whomever happens to be with him. How they wound up with him isn't important now, but hopefully they can pull their weight.]
We must move. Try to keep up.

Luckily, he makes the shot, leaving one less monster to run after the both of them in their wake.]

Luckily the Decade armor didn't make much noise at all, as he continued his run after Hanzo, watching their backs.]

Behind it, two more pairs of glowing eyes lit up the darkness. Hanzo's eyes widen as he curses under his breath, his own eyes scanning for the location of his companion. They're going to have to figure out another path. He only hope he catches the other man's eyes before it's too late.]

[Any pretext of stealth was probably over before Tsukasa gestured towards Hanzo who was still hidden, and he stepped out, card sliding into the belt already.]
Go, I'll keep them busy.
ATTACKRIDE: BLAST!

But he knew the choice he had to make. Tsukasa had already made that clear. Hanzo just had to trust that Tsukasa could handle himself. Without wasting much more time, Hanzo takes the opening offered, his quick, quiet feet padding through the ruins. He goes up and over more rubble, leaping to a tree and then down again to reach the cowering child half hidden by underbrush.
The coat from earlier comes in handy here as he pulls it from the pack at his waist and drapes it over the child. Once that's finished, he looks back to the battle unfolding in front of him, already readying his bow to help.]

He noticed Hanzo and gave him a curt nod, holding up another card and said,] Make your escape with the child, I'll finish off our guests.
