I know it had been a couple weeks since the egg thing, but I ended up rather busy during that time, that I honestly didn't notice.

[Which was a little white lie that people who knew him well enough would easily figure out. But he wanted to pretend that he wasn't around, or that he didn't notice to those who didn't know him at all. It was best that way anyway.]

But that isn't what this whole thing is about. No, it seems as if I am having a bit of a situation with work. [He turned around to show off the kitchen of the Cat's Eye. There were ingredients everywhere, some open, some left in packaging. But never the less the workplace was as messy as anything really.]

I find myself having some creative block of a sort and I've not been happy with what I've been making as of late. I must admit I am not sure when this will end, but until then I am leaving all creative projects and ideas to whoever works for me. You'll be free to create something new for the menu.

[That was pretty much it, really. At least he thought for a moment before he remembered something.]

Ah! That's right... The date. In two weeks time, I'll have been here for four years. Time really does fly here, doesn't it? [He can't help but chuckle slightly.] I'm not doing anything on the day, but whenever it comes around I always spend some time to myself and think about everything I've been through and how it has changed me and if you knew me at the beginning will probably have noticed such changes. But those numbers are limited. [He paused for a moment.]

It makes me want to ask this question. For those who have been here for a time, have you noticed any changes in yourself? If so if it's for the better or not?

[With a small smile he switches off the feed. At least publicly. There is one person he kind of wanted to talk to about the child thing at least.]

I have a garden but that is for the Pokemon, plants also not a good idea because of them either.

Ah...okay, I see your issue. What about a vertical garden? They wouldn't mess wit the plants so much that way and those look fantastic.

I must admit. Not sure what you mean by a vertical garden.

You can grow plants on walls! You need a vertically suspended panel and they work using hydroponics. Let me find some pictures for you.

[Dray seriously doesn't understand what is with humans and not enjoying being surrounded by plants. Those are the best. He looks for a bit and then sends Fai a few pictures.]

So something you might put on the outside walls basically. But then plants would need to be the kind that could actually climb.

Though how does one keep them alive like that if they don't go to the floor?

No, vertical garden can be put indoors. They also help to filter pollution from the air.

There's two way; you water them by hand or water is supplied at the top row of pockets by a drip irrigation which wicks down through the felt. The frequency in which it needs to be watered depends on type of plants and their needs.

My biggest worry would be I would have no time to take care of them.

I spend the early morning in the kitchen and I am at work until early evening, after all.

I guess they're not for everyone then, it's a shame. Plants always make everything better.

Seems so, sadly. If I didn't need to work as much, maybe I would be able to.

Or I could maybe do an expansion and grow produce that can be used for desserts. Though that would mean hiring someone to help with that.

No, no, your first option is better. Not everything needs to be related to work, Fai! you need to relax!

Did you know back in the day I was actually a lot lazier than I am now?

Not gonna lie, that's hard to imagine.

If you had been here years ago you would be able to imagine it. In all honesty, the only reason I first opened a cafe in the game was actually that I asked for the laziest job in a sense, or one where I didn't have to do much.

And that was the answer.

At the time it actually did work. Expanding was a bad plan, but I believe at the time I needed the money

Now I don't really mind that much.

We don't even use money in my world, we get by using different means. So money has never been too important to me.

I've had to keep getting new currency with each world we got to. Trading was a very good thing to do when you travel and that was something I was taught.

Here though, it's a different matter. It's how everyone mostly survives. I mean if everyone hunted and lived like you, there would probably be no animals left.

That sounds exhausting. Trading is a much better option, that way you make sure other people don't try to take advantage of you.

Eidions can live out of fish, vegetables, and fruit. Just like humans. We had farms as well. So it's not like we devour everything in our path.

But the question is how would one determine what would be considered fair in the first place. Trading you still seem to need to figure out what one thing equals to another thing. It's like paying but without currency.

Yes but an apple doesn't stop being an apple no matter what country you are in. When money is paper, the value is more arbitrary.

True, but if you wanted something that wasn't an apple how many apples would you trade it for if apples was all you had?
