[he is standing in a clothing store somewhere in Nova City, faintly surprised that he found it at all but that's neither here nor there. That he found it is a solution but the question is one he will pose to all the lovely viewers out there in ...CommunicatorLand]
As a caveat, I'm not really Scottish no matter how I sound. And what you're hearing is not really a Scottish accent but for those who know might be mistaken to think so because of inability to hear sub-harmonics. But never mind that. The point is, I've never been more Scottish than I am right now...
Which is why I've gathered you all here today is because I need advice...
Which one do you prefer. [he gestures to a rack of kilts handing up] The red? [he holds the red plaid in front of him--- and then each subsequent one] Green? Mint? Glow-in-the-Dark? Active Wear? [this last one the tartan is mostly blue and black but lined also with a glowing blue-white material] Apparently records bio-data, links to the music player of your choice and is a bum warmer in a pinch. [he grins] Nova City... Best place...
This is not an every day wear by the by, but I am thinking of taking one on an Adventure. Make a statement. Really go all out. I'm also considering blow torch bagpipes, but you know, no need to go overboard... yet.
Give me your input!
And I'll also need a matching sporran. I think they have these here too. Though you can never find one bigger on the inside...

In any case, no. You are two thousand years too young and I am ten thousand years too, as they say, done. [he puts back most of the kilts save for the tech modded one] But thanks for the game.
video
[And the only reason she's being honest is the novelty of being two thousand years too young for anything, which isn't something she's ever had to think about before.]
Then again, you're also assuming I was offering anything except a drink. Either that's something you get a lot or I might have to think about being offended.
[She isn't at all but point still stands.]
video
Quite a lot. In fact you should have seen me a few faces ago. Yowza. [he flicks through another selection of high tech kilts] Had a competition with Casanova and won. Of course Ace was embarrassed, but you know teenagers. You sneeze oddly and their life is over.
video
[Well, knew is putting it a little heavily. Brainwashed into serving her alongside the rest of his class is more accurate but either way it means she can find credibility in the notion.]
I'll give you that, though, teenagers can be pretty dumb. Guess it's all part of growing up.
[She excludes herself only because if she'd been a little dumber, perhaps she wouldn't have had to go so all-in on the despair obsession. Not to say she still wouldn't have, but it's a thought.]
video
[he doesn't think it's a Time Lord, but then again, you never knew.]
Yes. Definitely. Can't blame them, really. I was like that when I was their age and much worse.
video
[Not that she cares much beyond how it's served her.]
Pretty good memory you got there. Or is it like dog years in reverse where one of our years is like a thousand for you?
video
The opposite really, though not to that extreme.
video
[She gets bored enough with her own existence, never mind that sort of stretch.]
video
Do you know this one time I met the reincarnation of the Hindu Goddess Saraswati on Earth Prime Two Seven. Which was actually an orbital colony at that point. Anyway after a bit of an adventure with a bevy of mad monks who'd been infested by a brain parasite, we spent an evening playing Don't Wake the Llama and watching a remake of Love, Actually. Which actually improves on the source material, oddly enough. But after ninety-seven times you're bound to get it right.
video
[She's almost impressed, if it wasn't all so despairingly positive.]
Still, I guess you have a point. It's a little different when you're stuck with the time and place you're born with. And I'm pretty sure I've never seen anything like brain parasites before.
[Not unless brainwash anime counts, though she imagines the end results aren't so different. Still, something to think about testing sometime.]
video
You generally don't. That's why they can be such a problem.
video
[At least it does for her. Which isn't such a good thing.]
Well all right, let me rephrase that. I've never seen anything that's turned out to be the result of brain parasites. Where does something like that even come from?
video
Well, various places. Experiment gone wrong, plague, mutated virus, swimming in very unfortunate ponds. That sort of thing.
video
[She sounds more fascinated than horrified. Now all she needs is a proper science type.]
video
For now, though... I'll see you around. [though even if he did see an outbreak he honestly wasn't sure he'd tell her. Oh it takes all kinds and anyone could be fascinated by such a thing. But she reminds him of someone who would want to make 'friends' with said parasites and regardless of whether or not she would, he feels it better to keep things at a certain distance]
