public video / semi-private action
[public video]
[Despite that scary top icon, Uai is smiling for this public video segment. He's settled in his Fayren apartment with some empty notebooks, the plain white sheets being visible in the camera frame.]
Hello, everyone. I'm not interrupting your weekend, am I? My name is Uai. I'm used to traveling between worlds, but this is my first time being captured in one. I was hoping to hear more about the worlds all of you come from. I somehow doubt we're all even from the same multiverse, so it would be interesting to hear what is "normal" for you all. For myself, Attleton and Genessia are the closet I've come to 'home.' What about you?
[semi-private action / forests of Fayren]
(( OOC before I delve into this: This action prompt involves Uai being villainous. HOWEVER: Please do not treat this is a wide-area thing. If you want to get involved in attacking Uai's monsters, please PM me or hmu on plurk. I'm very friendly and open, but I don't want to be balancing 100 fight threads. Thanks so much~! ;v; ))
[Uai had scouted out the least populated area that he could. There's plenty of space between himself and the nearest town. While Uai can be shameless about his problematic magic, and is perfectly aware this will 99% fail, he doesn't want to be arrested or labeled a villain. Not when it isn't to his benefit.
He's set up a rock barrier around himself before he even starts casting magic. His last attempt to escape Genessia got him hurt. This time, he's changed his spell outline. Uai knows he won't escape, but he won't be satisfied until he's tried his hardest. As he expected, the spell backfires and he suffers a recoil. Uai stumbles back with a gash in his stomach. The physical damage isn't the worst of it.]
... Hm~! That's frustrating..!
[The barrier he had put around himself shatters. His 'blood' from the wounds forms into four other 'Uais.' Unfortunately, they don't keep human form. Instead, they take the forms of skeleton dragons: Decaying, gross af, and covered in shadowy gunk. ]

[The four take off to wreck minor havoc in the forest, while the original Uai sinks to his knees. Despite his efforts, his feelings of concern and panic regarding the unleashing of Glitches are quickly consumed by his anger and hatred for Genessia. With his soul tattered and split, Uai can't control his Glitched personality either.
He exhales calmly and smirks, watching his four Glitches take off.]
It's fine. Playing nice is getting me no where anyway.

[It could. She realises that, because she's realising that whatever he is, it's something way beyond what she knows. But she's not completely stupid, either - she moves away from the tree, towards the way she arrived to the clearing - not leaving, but in a position to do so if it comes to it.
Or in a position to entice a lost wanderer if she happens to hear one. It's only a problem if he demonstrates his skills on her, after all.]
Honestly, I think your little pets or whatever are doing more damage right now but I can't be everywhere at once.
[Suddenly she misses her school full o' cameras.]

So, in his fearful rush, he begins blabbing his truth. Maybe then she'll leave. He doesn't have to kill her.]
Glitches. They're part of my soul. I cast a spell wrong and broke it again. [Uai looks behind him and flinches. He's losing a lot of 'blood' and knows he can't maintain this form for much longer. Even now, his human form occasionally flickers like a broken hologram.]
Please, I-I'm begging. I'll do whatever you want when I'm fixed. But for now, leave me alone!

And what she's seeing now is someone whose soul fragments in just the sort of way that might lead to disruption and fear and, thus: despair. She might not have control of it yet but then again, he doesn't seem so afraid of reckless promises, either.
Alas that no-one has seen fit to warn him. Ah well. It's a gain for her.]
Promise? This isn't one of those things you're gonna say and then forget about after it's all over? Because I won't.
[And she fully intends to hold him to it, either way.]

[Uai does not know what he is getting himself into, but oh well. It's the price he pays for not killing her. Trembling, Uai takes his video device and slides it across the ground towards her.]
Th-there. Take this. I'll have no choice but to come to you to retrieve. And I'll do anything you want then, so... Take it and go!
no subject
She crouches to pick the device up, stowing it in her bra - hey, if it works for her own, why not - before standing again.]
Well all right then. I guess I shouldn't get so greedy right away, after all. Oh and don't worry. I won't tell anyone.
[Even with the current despair being exquisite, she's sure she can figure out a way to get something even better. It's what she does, after all. And even as she hadn't planned on saying anything either way, she can't help but drop the idea that she could, if she wanted to. Just to drive her point home.
Then she's gone, because now she has opportunity and she needs to figure out just what she's going to do with it.]
