public video / semi-private action
[public video]
[Despite that scary top icon, Uai is smiling for this public video segment. He's settled in his Fayren apartment with some empty notebooks, the plain white sheets being visible in the camera frame.]
Hello, everyone. I'm not interrupting your weekend, am I? My name is Uai. I'm used to traveling between worlds, but this is my first time being captured in one. I was hoping to hear more about the worlds all of you come from. I somehow doubt we're all even from the same multiverse, so it would be interesting to hear what is "normal" for you all. For myself, Attleton and Genessia are the closet I've come to 'home.' What about you?
[semi-private action / forests of Fayren]
(( OOC before I delve into this: This action prompt involves Uai being villainous. HOWEVER: Please do not treat this is a wide-area thing. If you want to get involved in attacking Uai's monsters, please PM me or hmu on plurk. I'm very friendly and open, but I don't want to be balancing 100 fight threads. Thanks so much~! ;v; ))
[Uai had scouted out the least populated area that he could. There's plenty of space between himself and the nearest town. While Uai can be shameless about his problematic magic, and is perfectly aware this will 99% fail, he doesn't want to be arrested or labeled a villain. Not when it isn't to his benefit.
He's set up a rock barrier around himself before he even starts casting magic. His last attempt to escape Genessia got him hurt. This time, he's changed his spell outline. Uai knows he won't escape, but he won't be satisfied until he's tried his hardest. As he expected, the spell backfires and he suffers a recoil. Uai stumbles back with a gash in his stomach. The physical damage isn't the worst of it.]
... Hm~! That's frustrating..!
[The barrier he had put around himself shatters. His 'blood' from the wounds forms into four other 'Uais.' Unfortunately, they don't keep human form. Instead, they take the forms of skeleton dragons: Decaying, gross af, and covered in shadowy gunk. ]

[The four take off to wreck minor havoc in the forest, while the original Uai sinks to his knees. Despite his efforts, his feelings of concern and panic regarding the unleashing of Glitches are quickly consumed by his anger and hatred for Genessia. With his soul tattered and split, Uai can't control his Glitched personality either.
He exhales calmly and smirks, watching his four Glitches take off.]
It's fine. Playing nice is getting me no where anyway.

Action;
[Tatlyn was busy trying to reinforce her forest decorations for the next time the paperboy comes through, but her large ears twitch and rotate backwards. Something was happening and it triggers her instincts.
Tatlyn grabs her backpack and dashes out Fairy Haven with the speed of a wolf, running deeper into the forest where the commotion is coming from.
And that's where she finds it. A skeleton demon dripping in sickening gunky stuff.]
What in Elinu's name is going on here? What the hell is THAT?
[Maybe it was a bad idea to investigate without the guild. Bad dog, Tatlyn.]
no subject
Seriously, these Glitches are hella attractive.
It begins to gradually turn its body, making a throaty rattling noise that is meant to be a growl. There's little room to misinterpret the fact that this thing intends to attack her.]
no subject
With her ears folded back and crouched slightly defensively, Tatlyn growls back at it with, by far, the most adorable "grr" one can imagine. Seeing as how her cute growl isn't working to scare it away, Tatlyn reaches behind an takes a rod from her back, which extends into a ornate staff.
She may not be a fighter, but dammit she will try.]
C'mon, you boneless chicken avocado shrinkage disaster! You wanna go?!
[Tatlyn twirled about once, using her staff to draw a circle. With it, she erected a magic shield around herself.]

Extra Prompt for Azura
Around the time that the last Glitch is defeated, Uai is a wreck. It horrendous pain, but also very angry. He wants to get up and go cause trouble, maybe make someone bleed to justify how he's feeling, but the pain is too much.
His solution isn't exactly well thought out, but more of a cowardly impulse: He inevitably changes to his "true form" in order to escape the hurt. This leaves a large skeletol dragon standing in the Fayren forest, hissing and growing as much as it can when he's falling apart. Uai cannot feel anything in this form, but he also cannot see, hear, or smell. He's left to blindly thrash about and throw an awkward, but mildly destructive, tantrum.]
no subject
She had not expected the sight in front of her. She knows better than to ask if it's alright, it's obvious by the thrashing that the dragon is in no mood to be spoken with, if it could even talk]
... Shh... [she steps forward towards the beast, one hand extended to touch it as she begins to hum a tune to to it. By the time she's within the distance to touch him, she's started singing the words:]
[as she does, her amulet begins to glow, droplets of water washing up from the ground to swirl around the both of them.]
no subject
The song's power is gradual, but effective. First, his tantrum begins to minimize: Just growling and thrashing his tail, with his useless wings spread out wide... Then tucking his wings in and seeming to settle. Even his hatred and anger feel like they're washing away.
The dragon tilts its head, now making confused hissing noises towards Azura.]

Extra Prompt for Sertoria
He's also too broken to pass off as being 'totally normal.' Like some broken hologram, his human form keeps flickering and a shadow of his true dragon self keeps overlapping. He's also bleeding from multiple 'wounds' and if generally a wreck. While his anger and hatred aren't overwhelming, he keeps snapping rudely at civilians and generally acting like an asshole as he tries to walk home.
Eventually, Uai stumbles into an ally and slumps in a corner. He doesn't even know where he is. Somehow, he realizes that he's wandered into a different city... and he's being rude, irritable, and dizzy from weakness. Without anyone to ask for help, he resigns himself to sleeping outside for a while. At least until the bleeding stops, he figures. Surely he won't die from bleeding. That would be so dumb.]
no subject
Sertoria is not a person to back down from a promise, even if she may or may not personally know someone. She swore that she would be for him, and by God, she was. It matters not what expletives he might spout off at her person or what he might do in retaliation, but she's there in that alleyway with him, offering him a warm, gentle smile down at his form.
Somehow, someway... she knew that he was here and she's here waiting for him, ready to help him at a moment's notice.
Without speaking a single syllable, she kneels down to his level, not minding the cold ground below them. Her hand outstretches and a warm light envelops her hand, resting over his form to stitch together his wounds. They might not be physical, but they're visible to the angel herself for she's done this sort of thing in the past to those who sought spiritual healing. ]
no subject
He also sometimes dreams of his 'mother' and 'family.' When he senses Sertoria coming close, that's who he initially mistakens her for: His kind, warm mother. She's always there to bail him out, no matter the time or space.]
'kaasan? [The inky puddles of blood begin to fade when his wounds are closed, as that lost piece of him is re-absorbed. Even when he's mistaken her for his mother, he's irritable. The childish desperation turns to a growl.] Stay back. I don't need your damn pity.

All right...who sent you up here?
no subject
The skeleton seems to have been engaged in an exciting battle against a large rock, unaware of what is blocking its path: Just realizing something is in the way. And apparently having no peaceful solution for the problem.
When Qubine arrives, the Glitch ends its fight against nothing. Dark magic seeps out of the skeleton, perhaps reminiscent of the dragons Qubine knows, and slices the rock into pieces. The Glitch opens its empty mouth and 'roars' at Qubine. It cannot see or hear him, but it can sense him.]
no subject
[Unfortunately, Qubine can't sense souls like that. He can usually tell from their behavior whether or not they have a soul. And unfortunately, this thing seems to be behaving like a soulless beast, attacking anything that moves (or even things that don't move).]
[Even if the creature makes no sound, Qubine knows a roar when he sees one. If this beast wants a fight, then the dragon clan leader will be more than happy to give it one.]
So that's how it's going to be...
[He drew a large breath and let out a piercing roar of his own that echoed throughout the sky. Now that's how a beast is supposed to roar. Qubine bares his claws, plants all of his feet into the ground, lowering his stance slightly, waiting for the creature's first move.]

Action
It's frightening.
It's too much power for a single person and she already can't control the energy inside of her. Her palm faces up and her wrist twists as she calls fire. It's the easiest spell for her to use and it's the hardest to control. She focuses on keeping the flame steady when she feels the release of power somewhere nearby.
Her head snaps to her left and she stares at the trees.]
What is that?
[It's dark, like a crawling sensation over her skin.
Terra releases her fire and follows the path of the energy, unsure what she'll find at its end.]
no subject
Then Terra approaches. The Glitch can't see or hear, but it can sense magic and souls. It turns swiftly before it and opens its large, empty mouth. There's a rattling sound, something that is maybe meant to be a growl or a roar. Without consistent flesh, this gross and stinky monster can't vocalize properly. Though it may appear to be a typical monster, it does have a soul buried under all the gross angst material.]
no subject
Stay back.
[She warns the skeleton, not giving him ground to move forward.]
I don't want to fight you!
[Terra holds out her palm and her fire, pausing for only a moment before releasing her flame at the creature. It shouldn't kill him but Terra really doesn't know the full extent of her powers.]

Action
As dull as it is useful, occasionally. But she thinks around here it might be different.
All of which means she stumbles across Uai just after the Glitches have gone off to cause trouble of their own. She didn't get too good a look at them, but she saw something and that's all the excuse she needs to approach.]
Wow. Looks like I just missed the good part. Like flicking over to a porno just after the money shot.
[Grace? What is grace?]
no subject
Ms Junko...! [He hisses. That kind of humor rubs him the wrong way in this moment. As his magic is going haywire, Uai is struggling to reign in his thoughts. He wants to drag someone into his suffering and she is a convenient target.
Shaking his head, Uai tries to keep a firm grip on himself.] This isn't the time.

I'm from a universe with galaxy-wide space travel. But most places look a lot closer to Attleton or Genessia than Nova City, despite the level of technology.
[ Not many planets which are as glitzy or wealthy as Nova City, at least not the ones he frequents regularly. ]
no subject
[Not that he's here to talk about his home world much. In fact, Uai is quite quick to change the subject.]
Galaxy-wide space travel, huh? That sounds interesting. For me, 'space travel' refers to crossing the borders between dimensions. But I'm guessing you mean traveling a singular universe?

Then even Ted spots some decidedly evil-looking dragons. Undead dragons, the worst of both worlds. They must be slain! Or at the very least made to heel. In a flash, his goku uniform activates, covering him in pitch black.
Time to contain the menace before it spreads. He leaps to the top of a tree, looking for a full view before he engages properly.]
no subject
It doesn’t seem to notice Ted yet. Being blind, it won’t be able to see Ted. It will be able to sense him if he gets close. Ted might want to be careful about what trees he uses, though. Seeing as the Glitch is trying to level them.]

What sort of capsule do you use to travel through the void in-between these great distances?
<3
Ascended Magicians like myself don’t have a physical body, so we don’t need anything to protect us. Though, I would be excited to see physical beings manage to travel the way we do. I’ve never been blessed with the chance to meet anyone like that.
