public video / semi-private action
[public video]
[Despite that scary top icon, Uai is smiling for this public video segment. He's settled in his Fayren apartment with some empty notebooks, the plain white sheets being visible in the camera frame.]
Hello, everyone. I'm not interrupting your weekend, am I? My name is Uai. I'm used to traveling between worlds, but this is my first time being captured in one. I was hoping to hear more about the worlds all of you come from. I somehow doubt we're all even from the same multiverse, so it would be interesting to hear what is "normal" for you all. For myself, Attleton and Genessia are the closet I've come to 'home.' What about you?
[semi-private action / forests of Fayren]
(( OOC before I delve into this: This action prompt involves Uai being villainous. HOWEVER: Please do not treat this is a wide-area thing. If you want to get involved in attacking Uai's monsters, please PM me or hmu on plurk. I'm very friendly and open, but I don't want to be balancing 100 fight threads. Thanks so much~! ;v; ))
[Uai had scouted out the least populated area that he could. There's plenty of space between himself and the nearest town. While Uai can be shameless about his problematic magic, and is perfectly aware this will 99% fail, he doesn't want to be arrested or labeled a villain. Not when it isn't to his benefit.
He's set up a rock barrier around himself before he even starts casting magic. His last attempt to escape Genessia got him hurt. This time, he's changed his spell outline. Uai knows he won't escape, but he won't be satisfied until he's tried his hardest. As he expected, the spell backfires and he suffers a recoil. Uai stumbles back with a gash in his stomach. The physical damage isn't the worst of it.]
... Hm~! That's frustrating..!
[The barrier he had put around himself shatters. His 'blood' from the wounds forms into four other 'Uais.' Unfortunately, they don't keep human form. Instead, they take the forms of skeleton dragons: Decaying, gross af, and covered in shadowy gunk. ]

[The four take off to wreck minor havoc in the forest, while the original Uai sinks to his knees. Despite his efforts, his feelings of concern and panic regarding the unleashing of Glitches are quickly consumed by his anger and hatred for Genessia. With his soul tattered and split, Uai can't control his Glitched personality either.
He exhales calmly and smirks, watching his four Glitches take off.]
It's fine. Playing nice is getting me no where anyway.

He's still iffy about outright demolishing the thing; there's collateral damage to consider. Containment would be best until he can figure out precisely what it is and whether it wants slaying.
"Wrap" is an appropriate verb. He leapt off the tree directly above the creature, then extended every limb. Black threads spread far and wide to create a wide canopy; wide enough to cover the whole area of the creature. His intention is to encircle it in the void, and so trap it. After that, he'll let gravity handle the rest.]

At this point, Uai's Glitch does display some of his magic. Though it is not much and it is a convenient display. The Glitch's shadowy magic finally shows someone a fraction of its true purpose as the Glitch attacks aimlessly, perhaps in Ted's direction only by luck. Ted is likely one of the few who may be able to tell that this magic isn't actual "darkness," but a rejection of all matter. The Glitch magic is akin to a void and hurts to touch, because it rejects whatever it touches.]

The threads are merely the border to the void, and thus the only that, if at all, would feel that repulsion of matter. Once it was properly contained, the dragon would be sequestered to a kind of sub-dimension, where only a few air molecules and the trees and dirt for company. Ted would, however, feel it repel any non-living material. Odd reaction.
The partitions Ted can make within the void are a convenient, if mysterious, substance, whose exact composition Ted's content to leave a mystery. Should the dragon reject or even break apart that, it would fall and fall and fall some more until he reconstructs it and breaks it.
Hopefully it wouldn't come to that.]

However, it is still a Glitch that Ted is dealing with: An unstable fragment of an angry magician's soul. His human illusion glances around in the void, finally able to see.]
Mother? Tch... Who's there? Copying her is in poor taste.
no subject
He doesn't know the arcane nature of who or what he's dealing with, nor how partial. Sadly, there's not much to see except darkness, which may as well be nothing at all. Ted's voice, a little faintly, finds its way to him.]
Uai!? Ah, you've my agreement on the tastelessness. What's...happening? With you, I mean?
no subject
The process is making this Glitch especially irritated.]
How about you let me go and maybe I’ll talk to you? [He snaps with frustration.] Don’t get full of yourself. I recognize a void and I will eventually fill it.
[He hopes. There’s a chance his mother’s teachings won’t apply here. That would be embarrassing.]
no subject
[Nervous laughter echoes around the Glitch. He appreciates puns, like "full of yourself" while in a void. Creation ex nihilo would be a neat, perhaps blasphemous, trick, and he's curious. The nerves come from his void being known to relative strangers. And here he took comfort in something so abominable being unique. At least to himself.]
I doubt we've that kind of time. And you know I can't let you go when you've been so dangerous. Please, just tell me what's wrong.
[He's gonna ready an anti-magic charm just in case things get wacky.]
no subject
[The Glitch growls with frustration. Being a broken off piece of the original Uai, it's more difficult than anticipated to create 'something.' It's taking some time for him to gather his power to recreate his human illusion.]
And time isn't really a concern in a 'void,' now is it?
no subject
[Sometimes he wonders if people really have their ducks in a row as to where they are and why. Despite the hologram's confidence, maybe "kidnapped" isn't really the right word.]
It is for us, for whom, I think, it still affects.
no subject
[He's being a touch sarcastic. The only dragon he finds particularly 'cute' is Hana, and she's not a dead thing.]
Don't feel like answering, otherwise. I'm not a cooperative prisoner.
no subject
[Looks like an impasse. What did he know about Uai that might give a clue? Obsessed with Hana, but this one doesn't remember him. Really strange mother issues; perhaps she kept him in a place like this? He said his form was an illusion and that he really looked like something else. And when he overexerted himself he produced that ink-like substance that, come to think, was awfully similar to what he'd just now seen.]
Did you wear yourself out trying to get through the barrier? Again?
no subject
[His attempts to ruin the barrier aren't working. Not with the state he's in, anyway. Which leads to the Glitch beginning to yell again.]
Now let me out! Nothing is being solved! If you still believe in time, then stop wasting it!
no subject
Calm down; I'd offer you a light or tea or something if you wouldn't just repel it away. Can you offer any confidence that you won't get up to the usual? I'd rather not make a trip to law enforcement, if I can help it.
[He feels kinda stupid, but he really may have to just take his word. At least the first time.]
no subject
[Yup. This can be safely said to be going just about no where. Ted has every reason to worry about releasing the Glitch: He would have no shame in going on a worse rampage than before. All of the facts back up the idea that Uai is off his rocker on a good day.
So Ted will be delighted when a second Uai shows up. One just isn't enough! This one is the real one, with real answers... and fake blood. That inky substance he worries about is leaking from a wound to his abdomen. He is also not interested in getting law enforcement involved, or losing more pieces of himself than necessary.
He also needs a moment to catch his breath after teleporting.]
H-Hey... Got a feeling this might be deja vu for you.
no subject
Eheh, no, two of you is a very novel experience. Hopefully shedding light here will prompt parity.
