I'm sure a lot of you have been wondering where I've been. My brother Whitley left some time ago, which means that someone's needed to run Schnee Company. I'd been trying to focus on the GSRF's advancement and it all came in at the same time, I've been more than occupied. Particularly considering I've been trying to organize a fundraiser for the GSRF. My money from selling the mansion I inherited isn't going to last forever and while we do have a number of generous donations, there are a significant number of costs to deal with as well. [ Labor, equipment, food for longer expeditions, repairs and maintenance, and more.. ]
I'm thinking of scaling back Schnee Company. Rather than full centers, I'd like to focus on having Schnee Company's primary location be the one in Genessia City and offer information kiosks in the other cities that link back to our and the GSRF's databases, as well as a call center that can be accessed from any of the kiosks. The biggest problem with scaling back is that it'll likely decrease profits from advertisement opportunities, which means I won't be able to afford to continue funding additional deputies for Nova City.
[ And frankly she wants to actually do huntressy things rather than be stuck in the office all the time. While Schnee Company helps, it's only part of the equation for what she wants to do. Her other option would be her father, and that's. Nope. He's probably already about to have a fit because she's thinking of decreasing profits instead of increasing them. ]
I don't suppose anyone has any brilliant ideas?

[ He's teasing. Mostly. But only because he's too busy being a workaholic himself for any revenge kidnapping. ]
When do you have your fundraiser planned? I'm about to announce something for later this month in Attleton, actually...

To avoid a need for any overwork-kidnappings.

City Guardians are individuals elected and charged with the protection of the city they are elected to. They may hire deputies to assist with their charge, two of which are paid for by the city.
However, given the scale of the problems many of the cities face, two is doable but not efficient- especially for Nova City. The Guardianship has been worked into a sector-based system that places deputies in charge of smaller areas in order to decrease response times to dangerous events. I instituted it when I was the City Guardian and it's been working to keep the city much safer than before without putting undue strain on individual Guardians and deputies.
In order to do that, however, I had been paying for additional deputies out-of-pocket with my income from Schnee Company. When my brother took over so I could focus on my Guardianship at the time and the GSRF, he continued doing so, and now it's back in my hands.

...Are you all right, though?
[ video ]
I'm faring far better than I have been in the past.

Maybe you could launch a small campaign to obtain financial support from private family and corporate foundations.
Bringing up all the reasons why the Deputies' work is key to the safety of the city might help.
Video
It's something to take into consideration. There's a danger with entirely privatizing something like that, though, and dealing with Nova City's elite would mean dealing with a situation I'd rather avoid.
[ The GSRF fundraiser she has planned has a very large venue so she can avoid it even if she does end up with the Situation on board. ]

We're all from different worlds, with different cultures and abilities. Maybe we could host a culture exhibition? I'm sure everyone has cute little trinkets that they can make, or special meals they can prepare, that are simple to them but unique to their world. We at the GSRF would be able to learn about each other at the same time?

[ Weiss loves learning about other cultures, honestly. ]

[He worries loudly.]
Ribbons & Archive is a profiting business, but we are able to organize information and make it available to the public. Perhaps we can do the GSRF database work for you? It may ease the financial burden.

That would certainly help. Are you sure it wouldn't be too much?

[ He's Garrus to her since he used to be her deputy, but honestly, she's always respectful toward current Guardians when speaking of them to other people. They earned the title! ]
Is it just you, or are there others from Fama that are interested? Not that you aren't enough, it's just good to have a complete list for planning.
I could possibly help to raise funds. I can donate my Deputy Guardian pay to the cause, and if necessary, I could use some resources from the Viridian Labyrinth subarchway.
Re: [Video]
We'd appreciate anything you'd like to offer, of course.

[Either way, she's someone Junko's been keen to speak to and, well, opportunity calls.]

I was. I founded Schnee Company, then made a deal with my brother for him to run it while I focused on being a City Guardian at the time, as well as the GSRF and other volunteer projects I was working on. It's back in my hands now that Whitley's gone home, however.

He's prepared to ream her out when he remembers that he's trying to be nicer now so he manages a deep breath before calling, doing his best to stay civil and reign in his temper, be the businessman he is. How long that will last is still to be seen.]
While I'm thrilled to see you taking an interest in the family business,Weiss, with all due respect those decisions are not yours to make. As the CEO of the company all final decisions are to be approved by me. If you want to make an appointment to discuss any ideas you may have that could be arranged.
[He pauses. The first part of her message races through his head again. They hadn't had any major blowouts recently, and while that's possibly due to his absence in her life, it's still progress, right? It's a calculated move he's about to make, and there's certainly a risk, but maybe...]
If you're concerned about your finances, I am more than happy to have you come stay with me. It would certainly ease the burden of you having to pay for your place, and there's plenty of room to spare.
[Notice the distinct lack of an invitation to Sun there? He's tried playing nice but he can't imagine sharing a roof with a faunus. But if he can get her back at his place, he can take command again, easy. He just has to be delicate with how he handles things now that the offer is on the table. Even if she rejects it, the notion will linger on her mind and her
weaknesssensitive side will work in his favor. He's making the right call here, he's certain.]Private video
[ Maybe he has that contract but honestly? Weiss has elected to ignore it. Let him come at her legally if that's what he's aiming to do. And almost as if to add insult to injury, as if to provoke him, she's sending her reply in video. In the Schnee Company office, doing paperwork, not looking at the camera as she speaks. ]
You do realize that I'm capable of living without a roof over my head even if Sun didn't make a 14* salary? Between the two of us we're making 30* a month right now. We just signed for a stable for our horses.
[ She's already talking about arranging things with Winter, but she doesn't want to sick their father on her if she can settle this now. ]

Also, do I get my name on the Schnee Company when we get married? Or will we change it to the Daffodil Company?
Video
Schnee-Wukong Company is something of a mouthful, but if you want that I'm willing. "Daffodil Welcoming Services" does have a nice ring to it, though.
