[ There are days when you have to grin and bear unpalatable things. Such as when you have to swallow your pride and praise a boardwalk in a town that doesn't even have a beach. Cassian's face is very, very painstakingly professional as he records a video message, which is to be played on the network and local TV. ]
As we all know, the Neighborhood Watch is essential to Attleton's security. It is an organization by Attletonies willing to volunteer their free time and energy for the sake of their community without any compensation. This won't change. However, Mayor Palmer and I have decided that the Neighborhood Watch should be headed by a paid employee who can dedicate themselves full-time to the Watch.
To finance the new position, Mayor Palmer has kindly permitted me to host a fundraiser at the new boardwalk he is having built for our town. With the help of the Neighborhood Watch and our local community, we are planning a fair with a number of charity booths; games as well as food stalls and rides provided by local businesspeople.
Weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting, the fair is scheduled for Saturday, the 26th. All proceeds will, of course, go to the Attleton Neighborhood Watch. If anyone, whether from Attleton or out of town, would like to volunteer for the fundraiser they are welcome to respond to this message or drop by the Guardian's office.
[ And now he needs to bang his head against his desk or something. ]
[OOC: There will be a log for the fair going up on the 26th for all visitors and volunteers.]

This is Thea Queen, Events Coordinator for the Nova City Museum. Would there be any interest in a booth to promote our next few shows?
no subject
Of course, we would love to have you. You have free rein on what you do with your booth, anything from Nova is bound to be eye-catching to Attletonies.

[ Since he's already threatening to kidnap her if she doesn't take some time for herself.. ]
Re: video;
Normally I would say no, but under the circumstances I'll be selfish.

[He's got an excited grin on his face as he asks. This is gonna be great if he gets the okay.]
Re: video
Of course! We would love to have you here. Actually, you would be doing me a personal favor by bringing a space exhibit. I'm from a space-faring civilization myself and it would be nice to share that with the locals.

You looked like a pod person.

Painful. The word you are looking for is painful. Was I that obvious?

That is such a fantastic idea! And talking about the boardwalk, I designed a few more addiction that I'm sure you and Cecil will absolutely love.

[ Trepidation. He has all the trepidation. You don't hold quite as much blame as the mastermind behind this insanity, but you have made it possible! ]
Do I want to know more?

B-Booths, and food, a-and rides...! [Can he see her bouncing? Because she's bouncing.]
Do you need help?
Re: video
Yes, all of these. Well, the rides aren't quite secured yet but I have been almost guaranteed to get some for free.
I can always use more helpers. You could man the Guardian Office's booth, or one of the food stalls. Kay and I were talking about having the pokemon give small presentations of their powers.

[He's got rent to worry about so he probably can't do any donations, but helping out is the least he can do.]

[Looks like someone finally got the hang of the video feed. She's on a break from her chef job in Fayren at the moment.]
Um...hello, I'd like to offer an archery demonstration?
Re: video
That would be wonderful. Since we don't actually have a beach there will be plenty of green for you to have your archery range. Just tell us what you need a day or two before, I don't think anyone here is familiar with archery.
[She's already funding plenty in Fayren but this sounds like fun.]
Would you be interested in a Fairy Tail booth?
[She's not sure how many mages live in Attleton, but all events need a little bit of magic, right?]
Re: [Video]
Very much, thank you, Mavis. We don't have enough mages in Attleton for it to become commonplace and whenever there is some magic to be seen, it draws a crowd. The children loved Captain Schnee's summons, do you think you could show off for them a little?

But you don't have to.
The giant, beaming grin should be obvious in these words]
Oh I'm so excited! I just can't wait!
Re: voice
I know. I'm glad you are.
[Because that makes one of them.]
There have been many offers for help. I think this might become a success.
[He still can't believe he is contributing to the boardwalk madness. ]
