Action / Anon Text
[Action for TARDIS only: (and those who'd come in/out ofc)]
[It's ridiculously late at night, or early in the morning, depending on your POV and rather than sleeping, Rose is huddled up in a blanket, looking like a sheet-ghost, barely illuminated in the dark by the blue hue glow of the tv showing.... Disney movies, what else?]
[She's got a bowl of caramel corn that she doesn't look too interested in, and a mug of tea that probably looks cold. And even without the mascara staining her face, the TARDIS herself probably is enough indication that Rose is a bit of a mess mentally/emotionally. Nothing new though.]
[Anon Text:]
How do you stop dreaming certain things?
And before you point out that dreams are your consciousness working on unresolved issues; I know. But there's no resolution, and dreaming isn't fixing or helping them, ta.
Also, everyone show off what you're wearing to prom, I need something to take my mind off it. And if you're not going, what are you doing instead? Anything fun?

Not-Anon, because he doesn't see the point on this?
[Someone missed out on a normal High School life. And Middle School...and Elementary school. Being home-schooled in a pre-apocalypse'll do that for ya.]
XDDD
[Rose has to think on this... and finally:]
To be honest, I have no idea.
I THINK it's just that it's near graduation so it's extra hyped for timing going into summer. And then maybe something to do with how more weddings on Earth were traditionally in spring, because flowers and smelling better.
So prom is like. A make believe wedding dance for teens. Without the painful parts of marriage. Or weddings.
But don't quote me on that.
[Which you can't anyway, because she's still anon, HAH!]

[You can't see it, but he's shrugging.]
If sleep isn't helping, try meditating? It's not quite as restful at first, but if it's practiced enough it can be just as good. Masters of it can achieve amazing things.

It was more of a 20th / 21st century thing if I remember my timelines right. Got popular in UK and Europe after a bit, thanks to pop culture.
[She's done yoga, but if she says that, it COMPLETELY outs her, not that she's super well disguised already, but still.] How do you do that?

[text] THE MOST HELPFUL
[text] THE MOST!!!
How?
Is that what you do?
[But then she depresses herself imagining punching the Doctor in her dreams in the face and that is never ever going to happen. :< boo.]
[text]
So wat wud u rather dream abt?
[text]
Adventures I guess.
[But even that is... How can she? Without the Doctor, it wasn't adventures, just trials and tribulations.] Or having fun here instead of remembering the past, yeah?

[Ted, with a growing dislike of unreal things, would take a hatchet to dreams if he could.]

Re: Text
Unless, like Jane Studdock, your dreams are prophetic, in which case shutting them up would be foolish.
[If it's who he thinks it is, they'll be familiar with That Hideous Strength]
Re: Text
I don't think they're prophetic, no. Just stupid.
Like I said, unresolved issues, except there's no way to resolve them.
Which character in which book was saying that? "Sleep is here, and sleep is good. Sleep is here."
I'm not sure I want to give up dreaming entirely, but I don't want to dream of the past that makes me sad. Or things that are pointlessly depressing.
[Waking up crying is a terrible way to start a day.]

Non-Anon Audio because Koishi is bad at texting.
There was a pause.
"Also, what's a prom?"
<3
How does that work? Your power?
[She knows, but it's part of the anon disguise :V]
Prom is a big dance where they get super dressed up and act all formal.

"My power is control and manipulation of the subconscious mind. I'm good at making sure people have good dreams." It was more complicated than that but Rose knew that already.
"Ah... Ohhh! I have a pretty black dress. Mister Fins-" Probably Namur "-was really nice and took me out dancing for my 516th birthday. He called it a 'sweet sixteen' party. I dunno what that means but it was fun."

[ and by this she means she will keep pushing herself and pushing herself until she just passes out. but hey! it's effective. ]
I shall send you an attached image of my dress.
[ Era follows through with her promise fairly quickly - she send a photo of her dress. It's not modeled on anything, just hung carefully by some low-hanging tree branches. Because what is having a place to live when you can just be a hobo in the woods? ]
text;
Ahh!! It's gorgeous!
[She squints a bit at the tree branches, but doesn't want to call her out on it.]
Is this your first dance or prom or whatever?
text;
My thanks. I wanted it to be similar in theme to my wedding dress.
I have been to dances and social events, though few of them. Prom does not exist in my home world.

What's dream-walking? How do you start?
Text
Dream walking is about controlling your own dreams and also entering the dreams of others and interacting with them in their sleep. You learn how to master the technique of programming yourself to become aware you are dreaming in advance and then realizing you are dreaming after the dream has started.
It was a common practice among a few tribes in my world but I never learned how to do it because of the war. You could ask around Fayren if someone knows how to lucid dreaming, sounds like the best place to try.
