[Uai has kept his head low while he lets his little Glitch incident blow over. But now that he's had some time to gather more information, he's moving forward. With very innocent motives, honestly! Don't question them. He's definitely not trying to learn what kinds of enemies he might be making later on!]
Good afternoon, everyone. I apologize if this seems out of the blue, but it's been on my mind for a while now... Seeing as we all come from different worlds, I'm realizing that our definitions of things like "magic" and "science" are very different. It's gotten me quite curious. The limitations I have may not apply to your magic, or vice versa. We might all be accidentally limiting our reach by assuming we're the same.
... So. If I could have a few moments of your time? I would love to learn about how everyone's magic works. Is magic in your world based in some sort of "mana" that flows in the air? Or does it come from your soul? Genetics? Can it be learned, or even taught, in Genessia? Do you need tools? Do we need to make tools for you?
And what about science? If your technology closer to Attleton, or Nova City? Can you travel space yet? Do you have holograms? I wonder what kinds of inventions we could make if we put our minds together?
I hope I'm not being too nosy. It's just fascinating to think about!
[ooc note: If you want to, you can mark your reply "OTA" and use this post for general magic nerd parties? I am not opposed to that if your character is also curious.]

[He knows what it does, but has never done it himself really. he has seen others partake.]
Who knows, I just know it's a thing in the royal family. You can't eat just anyone unless that was a lie so we couldn't do that.
no subject
So then. How does that apply in Genessia? Hypothetically.
no subject
As for how that applies. Who knows. I have yet to find out.
no subject
OH NO.
HE'S REALLY CURIOUS NOW?
Would it apply in Genessia? Ugh, there's no real way to know...]
Can you can't eat souls, correct? Not even fragments? [Not that Uai would ever do something so stupid for science.
He's just curious. Really.]

It is, however, a food source to 1% of the demon population. They would not get the side effects like most others would.
no subject
... Yes, that's for the best. I imagine Hana would be very cross with me if I offered a piece of my soul for science. Your inability to eat them may have saved us some grief, so thank you.
no subject
Would be a very strange thing to offer up in general.
no subject
Hm. Maybe I'm more insane than I thought. Well, regardless. Offer is off the table, since you weren't biting anyway.
no subject
[He knew he was never going to bite.]
if you find someone who doesn't mind side effects offer to them. But I prefer not to see what others have done. I like being myself.

That drama aside. I'm curious! You said only the royal family can eat people, and that you have eaten souls... Are you a member of the royal family, then?

I enjoy it because I can feel the life drain from someone that way. [Yeeeep. Even if he comes across as a halfling sometimes because of it, but he knew the difference there was vampires can only drink blood and if they tried anything else they'd be sick, but Baldur can eat other things even if it doesn't sustain him for more than a couple hours.]
I am the 13th son of the current king, so yes I am.
no subject
Still, I find it all very curious. I should hope you're not compelled to eat people here in Genessia. That would be a legal nightmare.
no subject
[He might do it for shits and giggles.]
But I am also not dumb enough to actually do that when this world seems to frown upon it whereas at home it would be considered normal.
no subject
I think that's the end of my curiosity for now, then... I do have a 'give and take' policy, though. Do you want to know anything in exchange, or was this conversation free of charge?
no subject
But I will ask the purpose of you gather information so to speak? I know that information is power and it benefits, but everyone reasons are always different.
