the robolution is now ~ [video]
[ Is there some scuffle? The camera sends jarred pictures from the cavern at the bay, anyway, and then a clang of metal hitting metal. A moment later, a robotic foot comes into view. Looks like someone has just kicked the pod they woke up in.
A moment later, a robot comes into focus. A grumbling robot, who is plucking the silk and soft padding from her frame on which she had been pillowed when she woke up - and which had promptly gotten stuck in all these exposed, moving parts that make her frame. ]
If this is how you repair droids, I want a chat with your engineers!
[ Her head dome swivels and tilts forward, focusing on the small lens of the camera. ]
Are you here, Lando? This is exactly the kind of trouble you would get us into.
You arrived injured? That's not very common.
Lando?
Re: [Video]
[ She plucks at a piece of silken lining from the pod that had gotten stuck in a shoulder joint. She might have had a minor battle with that pod when she awoke, disoriented with her processor mind still on the battle. ]
They ought to reconsider the bedding in the pod!
[ Kay runt eh possibilities of the pod meeting a not very ice end and he got very high chances, so he's not too surprised to see her do that. ]
Yes, that was very annoying. I'd also suggest changing the location away from the bay. All that water and sand...tsh. Terrible for the joints.
I'm K-2SO.
Re: [Video]
If any of my parts corrode I'm going to be very annoyed. It will take me long enough to pick the sand out of my feet.
I'm L3-37. I'm a navigator and pilot of the Millennium Falcon.

The Millennium...oh, are you a friend of Han Solo? He's here too.
no subject
[ A moment of sullen silence. ]
But he's our partner right now.
no subject
[ Kay can't nto frown but it's obvious that he's nto pleased by that realization. ]
Partner to do what?
no subject
Have one shifty-looking droid. ]
A job.
no subject
Right...a job.
Well that job will have to wait until you get back home. Time stops in the meantime.

[ Because she's dead, isn't she? Or was dying. Will she go back to finish dying? Yeah, she doesn't know how she feels about that but it's sure some flavor of "nope". ]
no subject
[ Being dead, a sad common issue among droids. The ]
Where you are form, have you heard about the Empire and the Rebel Alliance?
no subject
[ Blunt, but there's no point in sugarcoating it for easily offended organics. They're both droids, she figures, they know how it is. Not that she ever bothers with sugarcoating things for organics. ]
And I've heard of the Empire, sure. Everyone's heard of them. Never heard of a Rebel Alliance. There are rebels on some planets. Sometimes it's hard to say who is rebel and who is thief.
no subject
[ Tact is for organics who like to waste time, droids have more efficient conversations. ]
Where I come from, the Rebels are the ones making things difficult for the Empire and will eventually defeat them.
no subject
[ Color L3 baffled. This is... not what she had in mind when she said the droid revolution is now.
Might need a moment for it to sink into her code, really. ]
no subject
[ There are many ways to start a robot uprising, L3. ]
We been together for more than a decade now. He needs me to make sure his big mouth doesn't get him in trouble.
no subject
That's how organics are. They would be lost without droids with common sense.
no subject
Completely. Do you have questions about this new world? I could share my data with you.
no subject
What am I supposed to do with all my time here? I've never before been stuck on one planet.
no subject
You can do anything, be anything. Droids like us are allowed in all cities although some problems still exist, especially in Nov City.
Sometimes people form our home world ends here as well.

[ She may have always spoken of freedom but... There were limits to her freedom. She had known that. So many things impossible for her. It's hard to think it isn't so here. ]
Except leave. You can do whatever you want here but you can't leave.
no subject
[ She doesn't have to go into detail, Kay understand how bad life it can be for droids like them. ]
Except that. There's always a downside to things.
no subject
Maybe I'll become a ballerina.
[ She is joking. Mostly. ]
no subject
That's something I'd like to see. You do have the frame for it. And the legs.
no subject
This gorgeous frame is invaluable.
[ And you're preening, L3. ]
no subject
And you waste your talents in the millennium falcon? Why?
