[When Kaoru first arrived he had paid attention to the hologram and was still somewhat baffled by it. But it made it obvious that they weren't at home anymore regardless, but he really had no way to get home, but yet... he had no clue as to what to do.
He's never really had to fend for himself before, he was used to certain things, he never worked a day in his life not counting that one summer where he helped out in part for a competition. But as he thought about it, the hologram did say about a place to head to. So probably the first place he was going to head to, even if it was to get his bearings a little more and set about getting work at least.
As he walked, he started to look around and it wasn't long before he was walking up to people.]
Excuse me, can I please have a moment of your time?

[It was a few hours before Kaoru found the places he needed to go to and managed to stay in the commons for the time being. But there was one thing he figured he should ask the whole network since he figured out the basics of how this device works.]
How does one use the microwave? Sounds like a stupid question, but I have seriously never used one. I have heard of them, but this would be the first time I have had to use one. I've pressed buttons, but not sure what I am actually doing.
Wise advice from people who actually know will be of huge benefit.
Another question. Jobs... How did anyone decide what they were going to do here?

I believe it's just a microwavable lasagne or something. It's very different than what I am used to so I picked out what looked appealing. As well as some instant coffee, which I am glad exists here.
Plus dealing with fashion you don't use fashion to modify yourself, you use it in order to either show off what you have in the best ways or hide things you either don't like or don't have. In a way, a way to make yourself feel good. So I guess having to understand one's fashion sense and then finding the best thing that suits that tastes would be harder since it means knowing a lot more than maybe I know.
But also sounds fun.
But wait...Dragons? People who are 8 feet tall and potentially a shark... Did I end up in like a storybook or something? But I guess here I won't start at the top... But I can work towards it.

All right, if there's no directions on the lasagne itself, just grab a plate and probably about 5-6 minutes, depending on the microwave strength. If it's still cold in the middle when you get it out, try again for about HALF that length. Microwaves work by steaming things, so if you have to do it again, check if it's getting dry and add maybe a shotglass worth of water. 1 TBS.
You might not like the coffee taste, but I know some people even prefer it? I'm more of a tea drinker though. My Mum's solution to everything is tea, but she saved the world with it once.
Yup! Totally a storybook! Are you familiar with Alice in Wonderland or Narnia? It's like both of those. I'm still hoping to meet Bilbo Baggins someday. But I DID get to meet Captain Kirk. Spock was here too, but I didn't meet him while I had the chance :( Regrets.

Alright, got it... Doing that now at least.
You'd be surprised. I mean instant coffee has an unusual taste, to begin with, but it's the after that that's appealing. To note, I am usually a tea drinker myself, but sometimes cannot help but have some instant coffee thanks to a friend getting it a while back. Never had we had it before then?
I am familiar with them, yes. Though not sure who the whole Captain Kirk and Spock thing is, or are.

Much less glad for an after taste. I've had some weird foods in my days, but usually the aftertaste is what I hate most! It's very cute to see even that can be appreciated by someone. Makes me glad!
Spock and Kirk are from Star Trek. It was an American sci-fi show in the 1960s.
There are also comic book superheroes that have been here, and shoot, I feel like I'm forgetting someone really famous, but I can't remember.
It's actually a common thing for alien species though, to make television series based on other peoples/species' realities and/or memories. I'm not really sure how the fiction is real in other universes thing completely pans out. It's all weird and chicken and egg (which comes first?), and it gets even weirder when you know that different universes have different fictions. The multiverse is a mess, basically, but yes. To some universes I was a comic book character, and people thought I was cosplaying. So you might meet people you know from stories, or people might even think they know you that way, although it's never the same as actually befriending someone, yeah?
My friend even met Robin Hood, and I could have sworn Robin Hood was fictional in his (my friend's) Universe. My friend thought so too, and still does mostly, but he's the only man nearly as stubborn as me. ;)

That's probably why I am not that aware of who they are.
But... that is a lot to take in honestly. Many, many universes and all that. It sounds pretty awesome though.

Haha, yeah! I love it. Most people find it a drag, since it's out of their control showing up here, but there's genuinely nowhere else I'd rather be! It's way better to adventure with others. Usually I couldn't even talk about any of this with anyone! Here, everyone takes it for granted! It's nice.

Though first things first I will cook this meal I have since the commons only has this microwave, which was why I had that question in the first place.
