[Imelda may be good at many things, but technology is not one of them. Nor is being on her own in a strange place, so different from Santa Cecilia or even the Land of the Dead. She's not particularly good at approaching people either. But needs must and her needs right at the moment include a job, red bills aren't going to work forever and she can't seem to figure out how to find one. All before there were contacts, and she's gotten used to whatever her beloved familia has set on the ofrenda. Now she is back to nothing. Less than nothing.
She tries not to let that show, though, sitting straight and stern for the camera as if posing for an old photograph]
I'm looking for work. [and how annoying to have to do this all over again. She who had started a successful zapataria twice... and would do so a third time. When she had enough money gathered.]
I can cook and clean and mend and all those things required running a household. [she waves a hand] Finances are a specialty.
If you are looking for some skilled labor, or know of anyone who is, contact me por favor. [and she will try to figure out how to answer in time]
[afterwards and otherwise, Imelda can be seen wandering down the streets of Genessia, peering into shops, looking lost, and indeed she might be. Not that she will admit it]

Oh, right! I don't whine. [Yes he does.]
Also.... She sighs, folding her arms.]
It's 'Mrs.' [because that status, small as it was, was the only thing that flojo had left her with and she would keep it as much as it annoyed her]
When did you want to start?
Mrs... I'm Jaune! [Nailed it.]
Whenever's best for you. I don't want to get in the way of you finding a job. [He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.] And my shifts been rotating to night lately, so...

What would I be working for?
Unless you mean wages, in which case... depends on how good an accountant you are. I've been having to manage all the books since October, and I don't mind, but it's a bit overwhelming with everything else.

[Home? Here?]
[She flails a hand...] There's a lot of things. Foods. Science. Uh entertainment? Tech. Non-human stuff??? Right now we're dealing a lot with undead, vampire, erm... demons, uh liches? I think??? Oh! And we're working on a android and AI bill o' rights --
Look, like I said, yeah? It's REALLY involved.
But you wouldn't have to do much more than help me with billing and accounting. I've got Matt workin' on the legal stuff, and Jack and I can handle a lot, and the Doctor does all the science and tech mostly, unless I come up with ideas for him to implement and test, but the billing... I've been workin' nearly non-stop again. Had flyers out for accountants since last September, and it's June.
I'll admit, Torchwood is pretty tough to work with. We're a pretty ecclectic bunch, and our specialty is specifically the abnormal, but if you really want, you can free-lance from home part-time, yeah?
Between our recent Haunted House, restaurant, and expansions beyond patenting this month, plus having Matt around so I could actually make sure everything was on the up and up, I've just been a little overwhelmed. To be honest.
And my partner, Jack, is a lifesave, really, but he's no head for business anymore than the Doctor.

I will come in and help you streamline the process so it's easy for anyone to do. [she's learned a thing or two after all] And will help out from .... [she doesn't want to call it home because it is not] ...where I am staying.
I expect to be paid, of course, but I am not interested in becoming permanent... [what is the word?] ...staff.

Hello miss. Can I help you?

And then she realizes she's staring so she has to blink and pull back]
Do you...work here?
Action
Dray's used to the stares, though, so he's patient with that. ]
That's right. Arcadia is an architecture design studio but we also have a small shop for smaller, handmade items. Are you looking for something?
Action
...Sí. But I don't have the capital to start a product line just yet.
Action
it took me a while to start my own business, I wanted to make it perfect. You're a newcomer, I take it. I'm Dray Lyell, nice to meet you.
[ Dray offers a hand because he's got manners. ] What would you like to do? What product I mean?
Action
Ah, shoes. I make shoes. [she straightens and lifts her head proudly] The finest shoes you will find anywhere!

No, just looking. How are you this evening, gorrón?

[This evening and every evening in fact.]
But what's a "gorrón"?

But then Imelda mentions milk and he forgets all about it!]
I would love to get some milk! Especially in some tea!

Come along then... [she rubs her fingers together, calling him as she would any other cat] Let Mamá Imelda treat you to something nice.
