[Action/Video] Shot in the Dark log/ A test of reason. Or psychopathy
Action, Closed - Shot in the Dark
[Two weeks have gone by, which means it's time to catch killers once again. A bandit this time; likely a highwayman. Which means he's probably got his eye on trade routes in and out of the city to rob unsuspecting people with currency in their keep.
Which means Ted's there too, threads on every road as he checks into all of them like security cameras. He's hanging out in the epicenter of all these watchful black tendrils, ready to swat any suspicious arrows should they come flying into the breast of the innocent. And he has a few vials of antitoxin too, should they broach his precautions.
All he had to do was play his least favorite past-time: the waiting game. He's grown calloused and bored enough as of late that he finds himself almost praying the criminal outs himself soon. He's got stuff to do! Well, so long as no blonde, innocent children show up to give him a heart attack, all would be well...]
Video, Open - Crazy cards
Let's play a game; a test of your reason. Look at these cards. Each one has a color on one side, and an alphanumeric character on the other.

Here's a rule: If it has blue on one side, it will have "5" on the other. How many cards--the fewest possible--must you turn over to check whether the rule holds fast? Which ones?
Don't worry if you get it wrong; I'll give you another, simpler question to answer. If you fail that, the worst that'll happen is being dubbed a psychopath.

video - FOR REAL THIS TIME
FLIP 'EM ALL OVER SO WE KNOW FOR SURE!
Re: video - FOR REAL THIS TIME
Haha, I'm afraid I'll need more confidence and solidity in your answer than that. You needn't have anything less than perfect confidence in the truthfulness of the cards' supplier; that is, myself.
You've been handling the heat all right, I hope?
[Perhaps she suffers from heat stroke, he thought.]

[ She snatches a puppy from the floor, holding it up to show it shooting a healthy stream of water from its mouth. ]
Okay, if it's not a trick, then... Flip the blue one!

Would you like the easier one, now?

[Because this feline would be asleep.]
Do you have a muchier one?

The reasoning rhymes with the first: If the rule is: "If a sweater is borrowed, it must be returned", who must you check to see whether any have broken the deal, and must face the wheel?

action.
Fayren has one nun-looking child exploring the road with a stuffed bear wedged between a handcuff around the waist. Bridget asked around certain taverns, he knew. After gathering some information, Bridget was on the road and boy was it hot. Bridget hung forward, arms dangled, sighing heavily as he dragged his feet.]
So hot...
[He managed to finally said, exhausted.]
Mr. Poison Murderer. Are you around?
[He looked half-asleep, but quite determined.]
Re: action.
Bridget! What the hell are you doing here!?
[The noise he's making made for the perfect distraction. A near-silent twang of bowstring preceded two poisoned barbs in quick succession, one for each aimed squarely at their heads. He doesn't know if they've anything valuable on them, but it couldn't hurt to check.]
Re: action.
[Ted's shout shot electricity down Bridget's back. He stands up straight again after that alarm.]
Mr. Ted. Ha... It was just you.
[He wipes the sweat off his brow.]
I'm on a bounty hunt. What are you doing out in the--
[A faint whistle catches Bridget's ear as he turns towards the direction. And he sees two objects coming their way.]
Ted!
Re: action.
Duck!
[An unnecessary imperative, but better safe than sorry. The horse-drawn carriage he had been monitoring was all in a tizzy.]
What, ho! What the devil's going on?
[It's rider was no less agitated, it seemed, but Ted ignored him, ears keenly tensed for another assault.]
Bridget, you've got to run! Just leave the perpetrator to me, all right?

The question's similar to the first: which, as few as possible, cards must be checked to make sure that all who borrowed the sweater returned it?

[Yeah he's pretty sure he has other criteria to go on, ntyvm.]
Re: [Text]
Now, the question is why you felt the need to post a puzzle.

[Yeah, Lea is a wise ass. In other news, the sky is blue.]
Re: video
You underestimate reason: it'd allow one to know which cards to flip before anything was done whatever!
[Excellent promotion Ted, well done]
