Action, Closed - Shot in the Dark

[Two weeks have gone by, which means it's time to catch killers once again. A bandit this time; likely a highwayman. Which means he's probably got his eye on trade routes in and out of the city to rob unsuspecting people with currency in their keep.

Which means Ted's there too, threads on every road as he checks into all of them like security cameras. He's hanging out in the epicenter of all these watchful black tendrils, ready to swat any suspicious arrows should they come flying into the breast of the innocent. And he has a few vials of antitoxin too, should they broach his precautions.

All he had to do was play his least favorite past-time: the waiting game. He's grown calloused and bored enough as of late that he finds himself almost praying the criminal outs himself soon. He's got stuff to do! Well, so long as no blonde, innocent children show up to give him a heart attack, all would be well...]

Let's play a game; a test of your reason. Look at these cards. Each one has a color on one side, and an alphanumeric character on the other.

Here's a rule: If it has blue on one side, it will have "5" on the other. How many cards--the fewest possible--must you turn over to check whether the rule holds fast? Which ones?

Don't worry if you get it wrong; I'll give you another, simpler question to answer. If you fail that, the worst that'll happen is being dubbed a psychopath.

Pffha! "One of", eh? Goodness, from my experience with you all in Genessia, it seems you made up the majority. Between yourself, Luxord, and Demyx, poor Zexion must've been one of the rare few burdened with actual labor. No wonder he's so irritable, haha. I suppose Arelen did work--to undermine the Organization proper. Makes sense, I suppose; without emotion, the seat of motivation of man, it must've been an effort to put forth effort.

Well, I think I know just the thing to soften him up.

Hey, there's a difference between 'unlikely to do something nasty to you unless necessary' and just 'lazy bum'. Luxord and I tended to fall into the first category; Demyx was the latter. He used to bribe other members to do his missions for him so he could goof off.

Haha! Considering their aims, that's almost a compliment for him. Know doubt he'd call that working smarter, not harder.

He probably would. The rest of us would have just called it annoying if we'd been capable of feeling annoyed at the time.

Thank goodness you lack the capacity for that specific feeling. With the way Zexion scowls at me, I'd swear he was genuinely irritated.

Depending on when he's from, he might be; some of us started developing hearts by the end. Though We'd been convinced it wasn't possible, so any of us who notice passed it off as our minds playing tricks.

Manipulated from the very start to the very end, eh? No love lost there, I suppose. Still, that's heartening. When Zexion boils over, that shall be proof positive he's whole. If not quite wholesome, haha.

Yeah. On a related note, if you ever run across guys with silver hair and gold eyes who call themselves Ansem, Xehanort, or Xemnas, an old bald guy named Xehanort, or a guy with scars and an eye patch calling himself Xigbar or Braig, you might want to steer clear. They were the ones doing the manipulating.
