[EVENT/OTA] FAMA BEACH PARTY 2018

While the party isn’t due to start for a good while, Fama’s crew has arrived excruciatingly early to make the most of the promised sunrise and their talent’s time. Most of the crew are milling about under the tent around the coffee bar that’s been so generously erected in the sand when they’re not prepping the area for the shoot.

When the talent arrives, they’re greeted by an array of staff members and stylists armed with swag bag totes filled with necessities for the day- water bottles, sunscreen, etc.- and a cap and a white, full zip sweatshirt tailored to just their size, all baring the company’s logo. Maybe a little out of place, given the sudden heat wave, but the weather has promised them a perfect day for the beach at a cozy 72 degrees… and a somewhat chilly morning, especially for those expected to pose in the early tides.

The talent is free to mingle, encouraged to get some coffee and breakfast from the spread, get to know one another, and chat about their upcoming performances for the day when they’re not busy with their shoots or slates, be they promotional for the company brand or for pre-agreed projects for clients.



The music starts long before anyone ever takes the stage, but when it finally stops and the chattering from the crowd dies down…the party really begins.

The lights finally move into action and cast their effects onto the stage and over the dancers suddenly bursting to life for the crowd. The welcome song is upbeat and… honestly borderline obnoxious, but it’s definitely there to set the mood for a massive beach party. Dove, today’s MC and resident ray-of-sunshine archangel takes the stage toward the end of the song to finish out the number with her fellow performers, then applauds along with the crowd as the group exits the stage and a new set arrives.

“Hey everyone,” she purrs over the microphone, breaking her ‘come hither’ character almost immediately and laughing as the crowd jumps to life again. There’s no point in even trying to subdue her bright and sunny attitude, even for a quick tease. “Welcome to Fama’s Beach Party of 2018!”

The onstage band starts another song, just the beat, and she continues her greeting over it, all the while playfully pacing the stage.

“If you haven’t caught on by now, I’ll be yours all afternoon, evening, and well into the morning if you’ll have me~” Alright, maybe she hasn’t entirely dropped the flirty bit- “We have some amazing performances coming your way today, and plenty to do along the shore, so kick back, grab a drink, and just let go. The day is ours so Let’s party!”

From there, she jumps right into the first two songs, then relinquishes the stage to the next long sequence of performers, only interrupting to introduce each musical guest.

She’ll be back here and there throughout the performances with a few playful songs and teasing one liners of her own to keep the party going.

Volleyball tourney

Further from the stage, Volleyball courts have been marked out with foam posts, nets stretched taut across the centers. There’s a staff member at each of the first few with a clipboard, ready to welcome teams to the pits and referee, while some of the courts further down are meant simply for fun (or practice). So grab some friends, a Fama beach ball, and ready, set, spike!


House Boat

Link and Sidon’s apartment that they shared was, indeed, a boat. So of course they had to bring it right to the party! The beaches were filled up, but their house boat was available for partying as well. While on it music played loudly, drinks were colds and in coolers that were scattered about the deck area. The music meant someone could dance, but also sit and chat while on the deck of the boat.


Feel free to swim out here and grab a cold one and enjoy some music! Sidon will have his Wailord out as well, moving through the waters. Jump on the back of this massive whale and enjoy the sun in style!


Races!

Along the shore of the waters, people will find jet skis that have been supplied for them. Whoever would like is able to pair up, or possibly challenge Sidon who is hosting this event. These jet skis are for races, and whoever wins gets bragging rights and the satisfaction of being the fastest! Do not worry about possibly falling off at any point, Sidon and his Pokemon will be in the water to assist. Samurott and Gyarados will be at the ready for any individuals that may topple into the waters.

Surfing/jetskis/diving/kites/etc

For the less competitive party goers, there are also jet skis and surfboards along the shore further down, well out of the range of the races, should anyone want to partake. Just ask the guy in the Fama shirt, and he’ll hook you up with the equipment, while some of the other attendees might hook you up with some gnarly waves, dude.


The breeze also seems to be exceptionally cooperative today as well, even with the thirty degree drop in heat from the previous days. Grab a kite and try it out!




It would be a long, LONG day with no food or drink around. No one wants to be parched while they party!


Luckily for the crowds, there are stations scattered all around the event with spreads of fruits and veggies and treats of all types, all provided by local businesses from the area, but the centerpiece of it all is the large hut, surrounded by tables, chairs, and umbrellas under which one can find a fully stocked, well-staffed bar (provided, of course, by one Gale Reinhardt) and a grill covered in fare sizzling under the watch of today’s keyblade grill-master, Lea.


The hut is also conveniently home to a large display of merchandise for sale featuring the celebrities performing and currently in attendance. Snag a poster, album, or shirt (or two…or five) and hunt down your idols for autographs!




When Dove returns to the stage, the mood changes completely. She’s forgone her swimwear and changed into something much more romantic, hair in long waves cascading over her shoulder and her happy angel’s glow subtle and warm. The lights dim low until only she and the musicians are visible with soft lights- The sky will be the focus true for this one.


The show starts off as soft and sweet, fireworks popping up here and there in quiet pastels. The next song builds with a show of silver and gold then leads into the next and then final songs with a full array of colors.

The music can be heard anywhere along the beach, as the feed from the stage area will be pumped along through speakers spread here and there, take a seat, cuddle up with that special someone (or another drink), and enjoy the show.


Just because the sun is disappearing doesn’t mean the fun is slowing down! Glowing lights strung from umbrellas and posts that seem to be popping up along the shore, keeping things fairly well lit, but much more soothing than earlier in the day.

The Volleyball courts have now been outfitted with backlights and buckets of glow paint, should anyone wish to paint on and glo up in support of their team…or just for fun for photos!

There are also now staff members and photographers handing out sparklers, careful to pass on the safety instructions, but cheerfully enabling everyone to have fun!

The roll of the ocean and now (somehow) clear skies set the perfect mood for a stroll down the beach, away from the energy and volume of the crowds. It’s a beautiful evening, and the stars seem to provide a perfect sense of peace in stark contrast to the jam packed area near the stage.

The music continues right up until the last hour, at which point Dove takes the stage for one last time. The song is a little different, still energetic, but as it’s finally winding down and fading out, Dove takes her last bow and waves her goodbyes. “I, along with the Fama family want to thank each and every one of you gorgeous people for joining us today! We had a ton of fun, and hope you did too. Enjoy the rest of the evening, and stay safe out there, and we’ll see you all next time! I’m off to grab some s’mores!”

And with a kiss and a wink to the crowd, she’s headed off the stage as the music fades into a repeat of just the beat and then into generic house music.



Once the party has begun to wind down and the staff begins to break down the stage and light rigging, bonfires pop up along the beach, each large and welcoming and accompanied by a nearby box full of the necessities for s’mores. It’s the perfect place to plop down with a guitar, a drink, a lover, or just your friends and enjoy the evening and the stars hanging overhead.

…Just be careful not to fall in if you’ve had one too many…

Grillin' Time! - Lea OTA

Lea whistled to himself as he tended the food on the grill. He was wearing flame patterned swim trunks and a similarly patterned t-shirt and seemed to be enjoying his position.

There were of course the usual burgers and hot dogs for the traditionalists, but there were also steaks, chicken, sausages, fish fillets, and shrimp kabobs. The vegetarians weren't left out of the equation either, with various veggie kabobs, grilled eggplant, and grilled pineapple slices (the latter of which also made a great topping for the burgers). Even those with more... unusual tastes would find something to snack on; Lea left the handling of things for potential vampire guests to those more qualified, but there were a few kinds of grilled organ meat, as well as a small griddle section where edible grasshoppers were being roasted.

Though busy, he wouldn't object to talking for awhile. Though unless he happens to be taking a break to relax or get something to eat himself, those who stick around long enough to chat may find themselves roped into helping out a little. There is a lot of food to handle, after all!

When she's finally free for more than ten minutes, Dove is sure to make a special stop by each of the friends and vendors she'd somehow roped into the event. With a bright smile and a quick check to make sure he's not too busy for the moment, she slides over to his side of the grill, popsicles in hand.

"Hey, Hot Stuff," she sing songs with that same silly grin she reserves for his nicknames. "I brought you a treat."

He had said sea salt, right?

[Well, this is quite the huge party. While this isn't the first huge party Karla has been to, she's always impressed with how much goes into them. The music, the games, live performances, the food...what else can she say but "wow"?]

[Karla isn't much of a dancer, but she can be persuaded to hit the dance floor. But most of the time, she'll just be chilling on the sidelines of everything, having a little food and drink here and there. While it's tempting to leave when the sun starts to go down, she realizes that the party isn't over yet. The lights and the sky entice her too much to leave. She'll be strolling along the beach for a bit, and then settle down by one of the bonfires to round out the night.]

[S'mores? What are those?]

Mavis notices Karla staring as she's making herself one of those 'S'mores'. They don't exist in Earthland either but Mavis is good at adapting to new things, especially when it comes to food.

She smiles at the quiet girl.

"Those are delicious! Have you tried one yet? I can make one for you if you'd like."

[Modeling at Daybreak/Fama Family Time]
She’s grown used to early call times in her years of modeling, but it will never mean she’s pleased with them. She certainly hadn’t been the first to arrive, but the moment she had her world had spun into a whirlwind of stylists and makeup artists… and then she had been sent straight into the water the moment the sun began to peek over the horizon. While the ocean feels…somehow different to her these days, she’s well accustomed to the work they’re putting her through. From the sounds of it, the artists behind the photo and film are pleased, and she’s sure to keep the tone light and upbeat, even between sultry shots.

She’s just… really glad they’re not having her use her wings this morning.

When she’s not in the water, it’s like she’s flipped a switch entirely. Instead of the longing, impossible to escape gaze, she wears a bright (if somewhat still tired) smile, even as she clutches her coffee to her chest between sips and chats with those around her. “4am call time… never again, am I right?”

[Around the Stage Area/Performing/Chilling]

Anyone who knows Dove can see that she’s high on life every time she takes the stage to perform another song. While she doesn’t consider herself a musician by any means (because she absolutely didn’t write any of the songs she’s singing), she’s a fantastic presence on-stage, and her voice… well. She’s an angel.

She does take a moment to give a few shout outs here and there when she spots her friends in the crowd- Lucky, in particular gets a specific happy birthday and spontaneous rendition of the song from both herself and the crowd.

When she’s not onstage, she’s mingling in the crowd, taking photos with dance, dancing and having as good a time as one can have.


[Along the shore, sunbathing, and houseboat!]

While she does seem to be enjoying watching those taking full advantage of the jet skis and waves, Dove herself stays on the shore, drink in hand, either cheering on the racers or bathing in the sun. The ocean’s still a bit too big of an adventure for her for now, but she seems content to stay as she is.

She does eventually venture over to the houseboat, though she…admittedly cheats a little. She’s careful to make sure there’s no one too close-by, then frees her wings and takes to the sky, gliding over the waves before the drops to the deck and greets those on board.


[Closed to Styxx]

When afternoon finally approaches and she’s still yet to spot him anywhere along the beach, Dove decides to actually take action. The day is too beautiful to waste doing…whatever he’s probably doing, and there’s so much to do here…

The voicemail doesn't seem to be working, and there's a pang of worry inside her that her gentle tease might have been too much. "Come on, there's tons of sand here. It's right up your alley-" He...had mentioned he had been living in the Sahara, right?

A little later on, after a feeble attempt at what… could look something like a sandcastle, Dove breaks out her phone, tousles her hair, gives the most pitiful face she can muster (without breaking her celebrity character for the day- who knows where these pictures might end up), and shoots him a selfie with her sad little castle in the background and a one word caption: “Help?”


[Food, drinks, and SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS]

There’s not a chance in the world she’s going to be staying away from the grills all day. She’s happy to share a picnic blanket with anyone who wants to join her when she finally gets to take a quick lunch break and snag some of the treats from the vendors nearby. Thank god for Lea and his skills with charcoal. Those performances are definitely sapping her of energy, and she refuses to slow down.

She’s also spotted quite frequently at the bar, chatting up the bar tenders and refilling her drink on more than one occasion. It’s almost strange… how many can she possibly have before they start taking effect on her? Seems like she’s never without a fruity concoction, but she also never turns down an offered shot… Hm.


[Fireworks and following]

While she’s onstage providing the soundtrack during the firework show, any empaths in the crowd (or anyone who happens to get a decent look at her during the first song) will immediately notice a strange dip in her mood. She’s clearly losing herself to the music, but the hidden, inner realization below the surface is… almost heartbreaking. Does she…actually have tears in her eyes before she moves on to the second song? That’s… a lot of longing from one girl, and it’s leaking into the Light feelings she’s spread into the crowd.

She bounces back quickly, for those actually paying attention to her and not just the song, squelching any hopeless desires and hopping right into the upbeat romance of it all. By the end of the set, she’s sparkling as brightly as the fireworks overhead, smile back in place and flawless as ever.

Maybe she’s a little sad she couldn’t be down in the crowd for the dazzling display, but then… she doesn’t really have a specific someone to cuddle up and share it with.


[Sparklers, Selfies, and Tipsy Body Paint]

When night properly falls and the fireworks are over, it seems like whatever might have been eating away at her has disappeared entirely, as if it had never been there in the first place. She’s happy to pose with anyone, especially if they’ve got sparklers- it’s always fun to see what sort of shapes one can make while waiting for the camera’s shutter.

…she also gets herself into the neon body paint, maybe finally a bit tipsy at this point, and lets friends paint her up, though she’s careful to keep them from her back and midsection- she’ll take care of those herself, lest anyone spark something they shouldn’t.
(NOTE: Her reaction to having her back touched is a bit PG-13, so…tread lightly, kiddos!)


[Cuddly Dove and Bonfires]

Dove wasn’t kidding about those s’mores. When the crowd begins to thin and those who are partied out start to leave the beach for the night, she makes her way to the closest bonfire, drawn to the flame like a moth, and takes a seat on one of the many provided blankets surrounding it. She’s definitely much more mellow than she has been all day- maybe even a bit somber, if left alone too long. Her mind is wandering, and while most of it is simply wading through the memories and excitement of the day and a job well done, some of it is drifting into deeper (much more lonely) seas. She’s finally slowing down, and the drinks might be finally catching up. If there was ever a time to catch her vulnerable- or at least moreso than usual- now’s the time.


[Closed to Styxx | Just a Dip]

The longer she sits around the bonfire, the more often her gaze continues to find their way toward the tide and…it’s not just the fire casting light in the gold rings of her eyes at this point. She fights whatever it is for a little while longer, be it from hesitation to confront it or just pure laziness, but when she’s finally pulled back enough from the conversation, she quietly slips away, wrapping herself in the crochet beach wrap she’s kept with her and stepping silently through the sand.

The houndoom she’s finally felt safe enough to release lifts its head from it’s place nearby, watching her carefully before it decides to follow after her. Something… is different. She’s putting out more Light than usual, and the power is almost tangible in the air to those in tune with it.

As full of life and in sync with the crowd as she had been, the angel slowly wanders off toward the end of the beach away from the music and lights, careful to let the waves break only at her feet. The pull of whatever it is in the ocean is strong tonight, especially with moon hanging overhead, but she seems…strangely at ease. So much so that when she begins to hum and the ocean actually responds to her with that same golden surface shimmer from before, she pauses, eyes glowing softly, then continues on, singing this time.

Little by little, she steps further along the shore, a little deeper into the waves with each movement, until it’s almost up to her knees. She moves as if following the ocean’s lead, though it picks up at her command with graceful hands and swelling song. It’s not really clear whether she’s pulling it or it’s pulling her as she sings, but either way, the synchronization is uncanny. The water lifts from it’s place in small streams about her, twisting and washing over her skin here and there to wash away the remaining body paint and make way for the glowing patterns to reappear, gradually crawling up her legs and over her stomach… and giving off just enough light that when under the moonlight, makes the long jagged scars over her belly and hip much more noticeable than before.

Whatever has taken control of her- be it emotion or Light or something else entirely- is powerful, and whatever this state the feelings, drink, and draw has put her in…she’s completely vulnerable.

But…maybe not totally in danger? Who knows.

The Cheshire Cat is wearing a hat! On top of another hat...on top of three more hats. And finally a TARDIS fez as a base - courtesy of Rose. He's also sporting an elephant bow tie! Because the party announcement said to grab some "trunks", and how's cat to know that wasn't a request for elephant trunks?

He'll be hanging around for the entire duration of the event. Meeting people and Pokemon, eating, cheering on the performers, and probably napping in the corner at some point. Feel free to jump in with any scenario!


Sand Art

A nonsense song, which may be familiar to those who know of his origins, can be heard if you happen to wander close enough. Cheshire is entirely focused on shaping the sand into a sand sculpture of himself. What a skilled kitty! He's just putting the finishing touches on the whiskers and grin, all the while contemplating whether the make a teacup or a rabbit next.

Canvas Cat

Picture those little sheets of paper for testing pens in stationary shops, usually covered in multi-coloured scribbles, drawings, and barely legible writing. That's what the Cheshire Cat resembles right now. Except so much cooler because he's a cat that glows in the dark!

The aim of the night is to get a something from every attendee, so don't be too surprised when he floats over carrying an armful of glow paints and requests a personal touch from you to. Just good luck trying to find a blank spot to illustrate.

That's the sound of the Cheshire Cat's paint soaked paw making contact with your cheek, leaving a glowing paw print. Except it's not much of a sound at all because cats are known for their silent footsteps. The pleased chuckle that follows is definitely very audible though.

Libra's sitting and watching some of the festivities, a cold drink in his hand, when he feels something touch his cheek. Hearing a laugh, he looks over to see the Cheshire cat laughing at him. He can just see the top edge of the glowing paw print, and smiles.

Fun For All

[Just past the high tide marker a fair distance away from the main stage is where Namur sets himself up. He has an airy cabana set up for Rip and any others who might be sensitive to sunlight or just in need of some shade, as well as several coolers full of ice, bottles of all sizes and colors filled with all manner of liquor soft and hard nestled amongst the chips. There's another cooler sitting in the shade, but the lid's kept shut, and there's a hand drawn hazmat symbol on it. Best keep out of that one, unless you can smell the bagged blood inside.

Namur is taking full advantage of the opportunity to soak in the sun, running about shirtless in a pair of floral print board shorts.

First he'll hit up the volleyball courts, jumping into the free-for-all courts with gusto. Need a serve? He's got it covered. Or maybe someone wants to work on their serve instead. Either way, it's all good. Just jump in!

After some fun in the sun, it's time to cool off and get wet. Namur grabs the biggest surfboard he can find and takes to the waves. He's not what anyone would call a professional, but he's got guts, and he gets a big kick out of pulling off a successful 360, kickflip, or alley-oop. See if you can beat that, suckers!

Of course, what would a day on the beach- a birthday on the beach- be without several hours of hard drop beats and slick as silk breakdance moves? Namur's tossed out a bunch of taped together cardboard to make a smooth dance floor on top of the sand, and he's got an old school boombox with some sweet new technology running a playlist that could, in some circles, be considered loud and obnoxious. But what the hell, it's a party, and the beach is free! If someone thinks they've got better moves, they're more than welcome to jump in and challenge him to a dance battle. He hasn't had a good one in ages!]

Fireworks [Closed to Rip]

[After the sun sets and Rip is able to leave the confines of the cabana's shade, Namur slips his arm around her waist, grabs a blanket, and walks with her over to the mainstage to enjoy the show. It's nice to lay back in the soft sand with her by his side as the music swells around them, and he rubs his hand over her arm.]

Thanks for comin' out here with me, babe. Had a damn good day.

Own The Night

[After the fireworks, and as the light truly fades, that glow paint calls to Namur. He paints a big Phoenix Pirates cross on his chest, and waves on his arms, but his back and his face need help- if anyone's feeling artistic. He'll be more than happy to paint some rad tattoos on others as well, especially if they're willing to pay in booze!]

Bonfires and Chill

Come one, come all, t' hear the horrifyin' tale a the Spade Pirates versus the Kraken!

[Others might be winding down, but these hours are when Namur's usually awake, and he's more than ready to keep the party going. He's combed the beach for spare bottles of booze, so come on over, grab a drink, and listen to some of the tallest tales that Namur swears are one hundred percent absolutely true.]

[Rip had hardly been feeling social over the last week, but, how could she resist him when he wanted to go to the beach? Rip had spent most of the day in the shade under the cabana Namur provided and occasionally dipped into the bloodbags he thoughtfully provided for her and anyone else that might need them.

However, the real excitement came after the sun went down and she was able to finally leave the shade. Rip had on her green swimming suit and a grey loose mesh dress cover up. She smiled up at him as they headed out and didn't say much as he lead the way to the main stage to set up for the fireworks display and enjoy the music. Once she was settled on the blanket, she was leaning against him and closing her eyes for a few moments.

Rip knew that the loud noise wouldn't be pleasant to her, but.. his birthday and she wanted to enjoy at least this with him.]

Of course und I'm glad you're hafing a good day. You definitely looked like you had fun out on zhe vater earlier.

Early Morning
[The moment Kaoru had been hired he had been quite busy with work. Sure he doesn't get as much work as say a celebrity, but it was still work. But having to wake up early for this, he didn't fully understand.

But he had arrived and he was holding a cup of coffee in his hands to try and wake himself up a little bit more. It was working a tiny bit, but not enough to be fully awake. So for the time being he was simply focused on looking around and simply seeing who else had been told to work this early.]

Volleyball
[Now this was something the young man knew a bit about. He had done so to entertain ladies back at home at one point. His act with his brother. Here he knew he would have to just play and have fun this time instead of having to enable an act that wasn't here.

Walking over, making sure his orange swim trunks which had to be given to him by a company he was modelling for currently weren't slipping due to them being a little bit wet, he soon knelt down to pick up the ball before glancing around, checking to see if he can spot anyone. When he was able to he waved his free hand to try and call them over.]

[There was one thing, Kaoru always found fun. Water gun fights. They were always fun and really a good way to cool off even though it was one of the cooler days.

Kaoru smiled as he used a tiny water gun to spray someone he figured might agree to join in, aiming for the torso rather than the face or anywhere else.]

Got you. [He beamed happily, watching whoever he had hit, waiting to see how they would react.]

Arrival:

[Aizawa arrived eventually, wearing his swim trunks. He was dragged here and the expression on his face said it too. He was dragged along with Bakugo and Satou. He was ready to just lay down somewhere and take a nap.]

Somewhere on the beach:

[Thanks to a couple kids, mainly Bakugo and Satou, Aizawa's body was buried in the sand leaving his head visible. The sand covering him resembles a sleeping bag. Thankfully the umbrella is over his head so no sunburn, for now. He is just snoring.... He will be like this most of the day.]

Bites and Booze:

[Eventually, he will smell that food and want some booze after a long day of nothing and so much noises. After his good long nap, he eventually escapes his sand prison and drinking some booze.]

Arrival:

[Kirika never been to a beach party before, and she was dragged by a certain someone. She was wearing shorts and an open shirt with the top swimsuit revealing. Guess she'll look around and follow for now.]

Performance/Fun for all:

[Kirika been mostly chilling and exploring. She's people watching at the moment, walking around with a popsicle. She doesn't seem that interested.]

Somewhere on the beach:

[Winry had never been to a beach party before and so she had decided to wear a rather simple costume because she figured it didn't matter how fancy they are.

She had also come with a rather large umbrella for one of her friends which she was currently setting up while digging it into the ground and making sure it was firmly in place. It wasn't much but it was at least shade for people to use.]

Around the beach
[Winry had decided to just simply wonder around. Her feet dipping in the water, kneeling down to scoop up the water and watch it drip through her fingers. It felt nice after the past few days of warm weather and right now she found it hard to want to actually leave the water. The waves soon lapping up her legs she couldn't help but smile softly.

It really was a nice feeling after all.]

[It had been something she had never tried before, not having lived anywhere near water that could nor did they exist in her world, but a jetski looked like it could be fun and with watching some people they also looked like they were having fun. So with that in mind the young woman was currently talking to the guy in the shirt and seeing about giving it a go.]

She'll be wandering from place to place throughout the day, dressed simply in a plain black bikini under a black tanktop and running shorts, a pair of dark sunglasses shielding her sensitive eyes from the bright sun.]


(Fun For All) [When the little blonde discovers the volleyball courts set up, she's curious enough to stand and watch for a while, sipping at a drink while she tries to make sense of the rules. It won't take long, though, for her to get a good idea of what's required, and after watching a few matches she's eager to sign up and give it a try as well. She may not be the tallest person on your team, but she's got more than enough predator drive to keep her diving after the ball when it comes into her territory-- And all that superhuman strength means that if you're not careful, you may catch one hell of a spike heading your way, with only a quick little cry of warning before it hits.]

(Bites & Booze) [Now this is what she'd really come out here for-- Free food, free drinks, and plenty of them. Rowan might not look like the sort who ought to be making her fourth or fifth return trip to the grill to try and overrefill her plate yet again, but here she is-- And planning on making yet another stop by the bar to eat and get another drink afterwards, no less.

Once she's safely under the hut's generous shade she finally eases her sunglasses up her forehead and uses them to keep her hair pushed back while she eats, trying to signal a bartender between bites-- at least she's not a total savage. Finally resigning herself to the fact that it's going to be a minute before the overworked staff can get to her, she glances around at the other patrons, eyeing their drinks curiously. Yours in particular seems to catch her eye, and she gives a curious tilt of her head at it before shifting her gaze upwards to make eye contact with its owner.]

(Fireworks) [The first few explosions catch Rowan off-guard, and much to her chagrin, actually make her tense and jump just a little; having spent so much of her life in combat, after all, the sound of a shell detonating that close by is rather jarring, at least until she understands what's going on. Once she realizes that it's all part of the show, and really only purely decorative, she finally eases up a little-- Helping herself to an "abandoned" bottle of something sweet and dark in an effort to help calm her nerves again, she makes her way off to the side of the gathered crowd before settling down on the sand to watch by herself. She's still just on-edge enough to startle easily, though, so if someone happens to wander close enough while she's watching the show, be prepared to deal with a wide-eyed werewolf jerking around to aim a startled-- and maybe even ever so slightly aggressive-- look your way... At least until she realizes there was no malice intended.]

[ So far as Lioriley is aware, the ultimate goal of imbibing copious amounts of alcohol is to get absolutely shit faced. Unfortunately (or fortunately) 'absolutely shit faced' is not a thing a Lunari can be, given their biological makeup. And normally she is not inclined to drink alcohol at all. It's not really her style.

Someone however, has introduced her to the more fruity cocktails being served. And she's pretty down for that. Someone else also thought it might be funny to enter her in a half-assed drinking contest - sizing her up and assuming she'd be down after a drink and a half, if that.

This someone was wrong.

It's an hour into the contest and the fifteen that started it are now down to three. Lioriley sits on one side, glasses upon glasses piling up around her and the two men sitting across from her. The elf looks, well, the exact same as when she started, and even seems to be chatting her opponents up as if she's having a casual conversation. She seems blissfully unaware that people are placing bets on who will win - and as of this moment, she's the one they're cheering for now.

There are some though that demand some kind of explanation. And someone shouts - just as another man falls at the table, leaving Lioriley and one other standing now - ] There's no way she isn't cheating!

[ Lioriley frowns, taking another sip of her drink and leaning in toward whoever is closest to whisper to them. ] Is this some kind of game? I was not aware I was playing... [ Humans are so weird.

Cheer her on, explain what's happening, or bet on her to lose. It's a party fam get wild. ]

Fireworks
[ Beautiful as the fireworks may be, Lioriley is not inclined to stay close while they go off. The loud echoing booms make her sensitive ears ring; and even after she's retreated far down the beach she's still recovering from the sudden noise.

Eventually she finds a relatively nice spot to sit, a hand rubbing against the back of her ears as her toes dig into the sand beneath her. The ringing lingers, making it just a little harder to hear if someone happens to approach out of her line of sight. Which... isn't hard to do either way, given how dark and less populated it is here. ]

Own the night
[ WHO NEEDS GLOWING PAINT. Not Lioriley. Her bathing suit exposes enough of her dark skin that the majority of her leylines can be seen. Bright blue lines curve around her arms, her fingers and toes and in spirals around her stomach and back. Even better than the glowing paint, too, these lines pulse and flicker in time with her heart beat - making her a one-woman show in her own right.

At one point she starts laughing (did you do that? Did someone else? WHAT'S FUNNY?) and the lines start to flicker a little faster, sending sparks of color flying across her skin. At another point someone asks how she did that - and she just chuckles and tells them the truth. ]

I was born with these, my friend. No paint required - though I do love how everyone looks with it on! It reminds me of home.

[There is a umbrella set up near the food area where the ice fairy sits with a small cooler beside her. There is a small sign set up against it advertising flavors and the girl is rolling a large metal can about. It's really cold around her so wonder what she's doing?

If anything she's really hot even when not making her ice cream, tending to stick under the umbrella but she can be coaxed out into the water, as she's in a bikini and looks out to the water quietly. She's distracted by thinking though.

When it gets dark though is where she actually falls asleep on the beach, a towel covering her, head near the cooler. Might be a good time to wake her...]

[Ai might complain a lot, but he never complains about his work. Even if maybe? He should? Like right now, when the agency is expecting for him to participate in a beach photoshoot. Ai is aware of how his fanbase in Genessia is small, but also aware of what beach day photos mean to them. He doesn't deny the fact that his life is eyecandy.

So yes. He is willing to get knee deep in water and splash around for some beach photos... Even though he is a robot and really shouldn't get wet. No one has to know that.]

B. Performing

[Ai's two songs aren't exactly loud and exciting songs, so he likely performs near the end of the performance sequence. He will be performing Innocent Wind and then WinterBlossom in full, taking time between the songs to banter with the audience.

After performing, Ai can be caught for selfies and autographs. His professional smile is on full display, so he seems quite approachable for once! He even makes the first move when addressing anyone who approaches him after the show.]

So many different colours and shapes, it was all pretty interesting to watch for the moment. However it didn't take her long to stop the odd one out.]

A. Here to Waste Time

[Despite dragging himself to the beach party, Uai has no actual interest in having fun. He's here because it makes him look social, and people are less likely to suspect he's up to no good if he invests in a fake social life.

That being said, the setting of a beach is hardly his favorite. Uai is willing to wear a swimsuit, but he isn't eager to show much skin. He has a jacket over top and it is partially zipped. Despite his best efforts, a dark tattoo of his highly attractive true form can still be seen on the left side of his lower back. Points for effort?? Please don't think much about it? Don't ask about it?]

B. Knee Deep

[Eventually, Uai gets bored with people and decides to go play with the ocean. If Hana was here, she might joke about how the ocean was always his first and true love: He can't stay away from long, even if he wants to act uninterested.

Uai gets up to his knees at first, walking around in search of seashells and watching the sand for sea animals. The fun of playing in the water and watching fish eventually washes away any interest in the people on shore. He's smiling in an uncharacteristically childish way and even chatting with passing seagulls. When someone gets too close, he freezes up and immediately tsuns:] Wha--- What? I'm not doing anything unusual.

1. Work life

[Ann's not particularly a fan of early mornings but she knows she needs to make the effort. She's no big name for the agency just yet but that makes it all the more important that she put in the effort for an occasion like this.

At least she only has to worry about the morning and evening shoots. That should give her plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day.

She's aware she probably doesn't look the part of the professional model, with a pastry in one hand and coffee in the other - but old habits die hard and she needs all the energy she can get. So early on, she keeps mostly to herself but she's happy to chat about the upcoming shoots or with others from the agency while they kill time.

Once she's in front of the camera, she becomes a lot more serious, like a switch has flipped in her mind. Even if she's not front and centre for most of the shots - that honour goes to the more well-known - it's clear she's done this enough before to know what she's doing.]

2. Fun in the sun

[With her work mostly done, Ann's happy to spend time relaxing on the beach. Whether she's grabbing a snack, paddling in the sea or just catching some sun, she can be found almost anywhere and, depending on who asks, can be persuaded into trying almost anything.

Almost. There's one part of the festivities she's making a conscious effort to avoid - which isn't easy, given how much space volleyball tends to take up. And should anyone try to get her to join in this particular activity, they'll get a firm shake of the head and a tone that's polite but also clearly not open for debate.]

3. Bonfires in the night

[It's only as night falls that Ann has to think about work again - a solo shoot, this time, that her agent has managed to get for her largely because the agency wants the big names to have their time to relax after working so hard all day.

When she's not shooting, she can be found near one of the bonfires - and despite how she might seem, she's happy to try to pitch in to keep them burning even if she's not overly expert at it. That fire affinity has to be useful for something, right? Otherwise, she can be found with a bag of marshmallows that she's willing to share despite having seemingly claimed ownership of it - she can't help her sweet tooth, after all.]

Talk of a beach party got the attention of most of the Fairy Tail guild - if there's two activities that they enjoy, it's going to the beach and having parties. Of course, Erza's well-prepared for this, selecting one of her many swimsuits for the occasion.

Erza's going to try and sample everything that this party has to offer, from the food to the surfing. She might even be convinced to try dancing. If she needs a break, Erza could be found lounging in the shade or sunbathing; the beach is usually a place where she feels at ease, and has no problem with letting her hair down, so to speak.

At some point, she'll be making her way to the volleyball court, determined to win for the honour of her guild! ...Unfortunately for everyone on the opposing teams and any unfortunate passers-by, she has trouble with holding back her strength, especially when she gets competitive. It might help to keep an eye out for any volleyballs rocketing in your direction.

By the end of the night, the mage will be content with relaxing by the bonfire and watching the stars. It's been a long day, but a party of this size makes her feel more at home here.

[Orihime doesn't just waltz onto the beach in a bikini. She plans to change later, but since she had to walk here in broad daylight, she put on a white, flowing sundress with a broad-brimmed hat to protect her face from the sun. Naturally she flies to her friends to greet them cheerfully the moment she spots them. It doesn't hurt to pick up something to eat either, especially if the food is free! Free food tastes a lot better, after all.]

[A few hours later, after she's had a chance to stroll around and see every available opportunity, she lays out her towel on the sand, drops the hat, and unzips the dress to step out of it. Ho ho, she wore her swimsuit underneath! She stretches her arms out behind her, beaming at the feel of the sunlight on her skin.]

Ahhhhh! The weather is perfect here!

[Well she's not shy about being in a bikini, that's for sure.]

[After that? She's pretty much going straight for the water. You bet she's going to ride Wailord around, it's so much fun! And a rare opportunity she wouldn't get to enjoy back home for that matter.]

[She's even adventurous enough to board one of the jetskis, and only then does her face get serious. Challenge her to a race if you dare, she can be surprisingly competitive.]

[She has a peaceful smile on her face. Maybe she's tired from all the previous activities, or maybe she's just feeling particularly pensive. Whatever the case is, there's room on her towel for one or two more people, and she'd never say no to more company.]

[No one will have to twist her arm very hard either to set marshmallows on fire and mash them into chocolate and graham crackers.]

[The sand doesn't seem to hinder her in the slightest, and neither does the swimsuit. If anything, the streamlined one-piece means less friction to get in the way, and that girl is chock full of energy no matter whose team she's on. Whichever team she's not on? They're getting creamed.]

[She's fast on her feet, isn't afraid to dive for the ball, and when she's got the set-up just right, she spikes it with a full flip in the air for extra momentum. Sports are where Minako shines, and it's been a long time since she's been able to really get out there and play like this.]

[It's fun. And it shows on her face. She's smiling brightly and laughing, high-fiving her teammates and shaking the hands of the opposing team after the game is over. She's not just good at sports, she's a good sport.]

[Truth be told, she wasn't really in a party mood, but she likes the atmosphere. Loud music? That's a yes. Sunshine and the smell of the sea? Yep, she'll take that too. Loads of hot guys wandering around without shirts waiting for girls to notice their muscles? Aw hell yes.]

[Not that she's going out of her way to talk to them. She'd rather just appreciate from afar and relax on her rented beach chair, sunglasses on, downing like a million strawberry sunrises. As long as they keep 'em coming in those little coconuts with the paper umbrellas, she's a happy camper.]

[Tomorrow she can go back to the usual routine of busting criminals in Nova City. Today, AND tonight, all she wants is to relax. Maybe later she'll strip down to the swimsuit Weiss gave her for her birthday, but she's not too sure how well her metal arm will hold up in salt water, so better safe than sorry on the shore.]

While she’s not really sure what to expect, Theodora is ever present at the beach party, be it in her sweet bikini and flowy teal beach wrap, or…quite literally as the breeze. She makes a quick sweep of the beach on the wind, just to figure out the layout of the event, then will be wandering…somewhat aimlessly as Zaveid tends his shift at the bar.

…It isn’t long before that pretty skin of hers starts to turn a bit pink, though oddly enough, the white line tattoos that run… quite literally all over her don’t seem affected. Someone should probably mention to her that sunscreen exists…

When she’s not sitting at the bar sipping away at her drinks or peering curiously at all of the different frozen sweets from one of the vendors, one might find her down near the tides, eyes on the sky and smile bright at the laughter that comes from the children as the kites in the sky dip and weave in… patterns that don’t exactly make sense. She’s concentrating rather hard on them, and even the breeze around her seems different. Either way, it’s rather pleasant in the immediate area, should one be interested in kites or a nice cool breeze.

When the music slows significantly, and the area suddenly goes darker, Theodora turns her attention to the stage, then steps into the breeze, only to gently fall out of it again after a quick search right against Zaveid’s back where she can settle comfortably with her arms draped about his neck. “What’s going on?” she asks, hushed as the beach grows quieter and everyone’s attention seems to shift.

Somehow, Zaveid is more covered than usual on this day when so many other people are less so. He doesn't seem bothered by it, unlike any other time people have spotted him in shirts to comply with pesky no shirt no shoes no service requirements.

The wind seraph can be found working for a bit - Gale's provided alcohol, Zaveid works for Gale at one of his bars, might as well do so here too. Sometime during the day that shirt goes missing though, and a woman with similar hair to his can be found with it. He also keeps watching her when he's got a spare minute, with a complicated expression. A little weird.

When Zaveid's not at the bar, he's over at the kite flying section of the beach, where the wind is magically perfect for it. ... Literally, he might be using some magic to keep the winds just so. ...Zaveid would suddenly be hit or see a huge beach ballon flying at him.

Mavis is playing with other Fairy Tail members, friends and with her pokemon on the sand. She's running after the beach balloon and laughing.

When she notices someone else caught the balloon, she bowed slightly in apology. "Oh, sorry, sir... Can we have our balloon back?"

But suddenly, she freezes. One could think she's seen a ghost... or a monster.

"You... You're here too?"

BELLE [OPEN] CATCH-ALL

[Belle isn't wearing a bathing suit though she has one packed in the bag slung over her shoulder. She doesn't know how to swim and she's a little worried trying while so much is going on. She tries to sample the delights of the party, listening to the music and of course saying hello to her friends. It won't be difficult to pull Belle this way or that, encouraging her to participate in the different attractions but otherwise the book worm will stick to herself.

In fact, for a great majority of the day, Belle can be found sitting beneath an umbrella on the beach. She has a book in her hand and a light smile spread over her lips. She looks tired and a little worn but she's here to try and enjoy herself; even if she's enjoying the solitude of the gathering more than the crowds.

Belle doesn't try and shy completely away. If she sees someone she knows she lifts her hand in a wave. Eventually she finds herself purchasing ice with a sweet syrup drizzled over top of it as well as enjoying the heat of a bonfire.

She wants to visit Sidon and had packed a few pastries she'd made for him though she wasn't sure how to get out to the house boat without being able to swim.]

[When Dove isn't strutting around performing, introducing new acts, or taking photos with party-goers, she finally takes a few minutes to herself, slipping on her sunglasses and making her way down the shoreline just to people watch.

Not that... she isn't stopped along the way. She's not terribly hard to recognize, and she's certainly not Clark Kent. The glasses aren't fooling anyone.

When she spots Belle sitting alone, she gives a little wave, waiting for a response. She doesn't want to interrupt her reading, but the moment she gets a wave in return, she heads her way, slipping under the umbrella to join her with a bright smile.]

See, that's exactly what I would be doing if I didn't have to work, today, [she laughs, nodding at the book. Granted... the beach wouldn't be nearly this crowded if she was on vacation, but...] There's nothing better than a good book and the waves breaking... when you can hear them.
