When Li woke up, the first thing she realized was that she was in tight quarters and the second thing was the sound of water. The combination of the two sent her into a brief panic, lashing out with her legs to kick open the pod with a violent burst as she scrambled out of the pod and on to the beach. She barely registered where she was before she was making her way to the cave entrance. Somehow, she'd managed to keep hold of the box and pamphlet she woke up with.

The sandy blonde woman didn't calm down until she had the water far behind her and the sky over head at the cave entrance and only then did she start to really consider where she was...and felt annoyed that someone had dared to relocate her in her sleep!

She wanted answers and thankfully there was a conveniently placed hologram to help... Anyone strolling by would find a slightly impatient new arrival that didn't seem all that happy with the information being provided. But, at least she was smart enough to put on the necklace?

[Sometime after her arrival and finding her lodgings...Li decided to try out her phone. It wasn't the first time she's had one. It's just the first time she hasn't stolen one off some pour soul.]

So, Let me get this straight. Some jackass pulled me from where I was yesterday and put me here with a bunch of other people and now I'm trapped. Fucking hell that sounds like the story of my life right now.

So, despite what the white hologram princess said, I only have one question. Where does someone get a decent barbecue around here? I'm partial to pulled pork personally. It's the closest to what I'd normally eat.

[She kept drifting closer before catching herself and drifting away, her anger spiking whenever she catches herself before finally forcing herself to stay a respectable distant.

The first restaurant was hardly caught her attention as she looked at the menu. None of the scents were appealing even with her hunger. It wasn't until the second restaurant that Li paused and approached to order one of the pulled pork sandwiches smothered with barbecue sauce.]

[Her drifting closer had hardly escaped Styxx's notice, but as long as she didn't get too close or try something, he left her to visit the restaurants and try things as she liked or walk away.]

[The thing was... once Li found a place she liked, she ate. It was somewhat astounding that a woman her size could manage to pack away several pulled pork sandwiches without an issue and seemed to love the sauce, licking it from her fingers every time they got messy.

...And if she wasn't careful, she was going to eat more than she could afford.]

If I didn't suspect better I'd think you were a Charonte Demon with the way you eat.

[She'd no doubt get along with his brothers adopted demon daughter.]

[Li paused, licking some sauce off a finger and just gives him a strange look.]

A what? I'm not a demon. I just.. eat a lot. You would to if you hadn't eaten in weeks.

Having been through that before, I assure you that if I'd eaten like you are now after being unable to eat in weeks, I would more then likely get sick since my stomach would have shrunk from lack of food.

[She snorted faintly and finished up what was left of the meat on her plate, though surprisingly, she'd been ignoring the buns and sides.]

Oh yeah? Sounds like a bitch of a thing to experience. Guess I got more stomach than you do.

So our biology is different. Though as I said, I at least am quite familiar with what it's like to not eat for a few weeks or even longer.

[She rolled her eyes slightly and then ordered another sandwich and picked it apart to eat the pulled pork like the last ones.]

Guess that means I really need to step up my game. Fuck. And here I thought being perpetually pissed off gained me points in the attitude department.

[She snorts and goes back to eating for a few moments before finally finishing off that sandwich and licking her fingers clean again. This time, she seems to at least be full and several bills lighter.]

At least I can corner the market at being pissed off.
