[It looks like the 10th Doctor, but the scruff and glasses aren't the only difference, his American accent and voice instead are the most striking difference by far. That, and a scowly growly intimidating (to some) demeanor that doesn't even fit the Doctor's worst moods.]
Why is there a boardwalk if there's no water?
I'm not wanting there to be water, mind, but isn't the point of boardwalks to handle the rising tides? And what's the point of kidnapping people if you're going to let them wander around freely and set up establishments? What are even the ransom demands? It all seems as useful as a chocolate teapot.
[Awkward pause.] And is there a pharmacy around here? What kind of kidnappers provide pharmacies? Oh, I suppose I'll need a Doctor, since it's no good getting to an outside line.
