[ The groggy haze hasn't yet exactly worn off this demon hunter here and Nero finds himself crashed on the bed he has in this (temporary) room of his. Arm draped across his eyes, he's about five seconds away from conking out where he hopes when he wakes this will all be a bad dream, when the sound of WHATEVER THAT IS keeps him from doing so. With a scowl, he throws himself off the bed, yanks open the door (and nearly off its hinges oops) and- ]

Hey! You wanna keep it down?!

[ He'll just yell that down the hall to whoever or whatever that is. ]


GENESSIA CITY
[ Moving down the streets with a scowl on his face (not like he ever wears another expression) is a white-haired, sword strapped to his back with a glowing blue arm guy. He's heard the spiel about this place, is annoyed with this whole kidnapped by spirits shtick going on here, and can't remember the last time he actually ate something so that's where he's headed. Or hopes he is.

The first food place he finds, he drops some of those red bills down and asks what he can get with some of this and, as he waits for his food to be brought to him, if you're staring, he's gonna feel that... even address you without looking over. ]

Take a picture, it'll last longer.

[ That, or, he's going to be sitting there at whatever table is available, head in his hands and clearly just DONE with this place already. ]

[ This is not anything he can say he's had experience with and so it's why Nero isn't so sure how to react or even what to think because... people just don't do this sort of thing? ]

[ Sora frowns, he lowers his hands to his sides and he looks at the other with some feeling of insecurity. Had he messed up somewhere? Usually people were alright with this sort of thing—

I mean, they were like “oh no, no, okay thanks..” and then they went on their way and then came back to shop here! It was a nice gesture was all, really… everyone needs a helping hand when starting out here.. Everyone. ]

And I know you’re new… and.. you could use a friendly gesture..

[ Nero is just... not accustomed to this sort of random act of kindness bestowed upon him. From Kyrie, sure. But from a stranger? That's just... not what happens with him, so it's a little strange and he has no idea how to react to it. But when the kid frowns and lowers his hands, Nero begins to feel a little bad and awkward and lifts his glowing blue hand up to rub at the back of his neck. Geez. ]

[ There it is! The golden word that made everything all right again! Sora perks up and his face glows with a bright smile to his lips. ]

You’re welcome! I .. I’m Sora! [ He adjusts the name tag on his apron. ] If you need anything … I’unno, whatever, you can always call me on that phone you got! Okay?

[ Sora, huh? Can't say he's ever heard someone with that name before. ]

Are you part of the neighborhood welcoming committee or something?

[ He asks that a touch dryly but perhaps also curiously if only because that might make a little more sense with all of, well, this. ]

[ Dang it! That would totally be so cool to be a part of… why… why Sora might be able to have first dibs on everyone that first comes through that cave! He’ll be the first to greet his friends when they come! He’ll be able to make a great impression on those who… might need a great impression coming here! Not everyone, after all, is a world traveler like himself! ]

Oh… man… no! [ He’s disappoint. ]

[ Oh, that's... not the reaction he was expecting? Great. ]

[ He thinks. Hell if he knows if that's actually a thing or not. ]

[ Sora’s mouth drops open and his eyes focus on the other. He then closes his mouth with a grin to his lips then a snort comes through his nose. ]

Man! That’s a pretty good idea though! We should make one of those! [ He chuckles lightly. ] Hnn~! Well! ... hehe!

[ At least he's not frowning and possibly upset anymore? That's good. Yeah... good. ]

I guess you could bring it up at the next city meeting or whatever.

[ A beat. ]

I don't know if they actually have those or not, for the record.

[ Not like he wants to disappoint him again or something. ]

[ Wait for it... wait for it... Sora bounces on his heels. ]

Dante! He's in charge of us, you know! He's ... "the big fish" but wait until I show him, tell you what! I'm the big shark in town! [ He laughs. He can't help but disclose the silly little conversations he has with Dante.. which was basically just this! ]

[ That name is not one he expected to hear from anyone here, let alone this kid and it has Nero staring to him in both confusion and surprise. ]

Yeah, I think he's the mayor... or .. president, or king... or something.. I don't know. He said something about being elected. So he's in charge of us.. and he makes the rules. He's ... hum, he's I'unno where he's at... You know, I just had this conversation with him too! I said..

Dante.. seems kind'a strange I haven't seen you yet.. since you're the big fish.. supposedly! Oh! You know Dante?! He's your friend!? Woah! We better get a hold of him! [ Sora pulls out his phone, ready to utilize this sucker for maximum contact speed! ]

[ Everything seems to be happening so fast that Nero doesn't even have any time to process it and, before he knows it, he's reaching out with his glowing blue arm for Sora's wrist that hold his phone. ]

You don't need to do that!

[ He stares a little, suddenly feeling awkward. ]

It's better not to bother him if he's such a hot shot around here.

[ Sora gasps, he hadn’t expected the quick reaction to his suggestion, but he’s quick to smile and relax again. He also is quick to respond, rather honestly, about his experience with Dante. ]

So, I bother him all the time and he’s pretty nice about it! I’m sure he really wouldn’t mind.. Besides.. I mean, it’s nice to have someone here you know, it makes it a lot easier!

Yeah, sure, if you enjoy having to put up with his stupid jokes.

[ Or something, but really, it is good to know the other demon hunter is around... even if he gives him an aneurysm at times. ]

Surprised he hasn't told you to take a hike yet.

[ Sora snorts, he bounces on his heels again and folds his arms across his chest. ] Nah, he wouldn't do that to me.. we're friends! I'unno, he can be sometimes funny, for being an old man! You don't think so?

[ There's a thought that he might not think Sora was funny if he didn't think Dante was funny. That brought him a soft chuckle. ]

[ To hear someone else refer to Dante as an old man might just get Nero to give a soft sound of amusement. ]

Yeah, he's definitely an old geezer.

[ But, with his attention back on the food bought for him, he looks to this kid again. ]

You sure you won't let me give you some cash for this?

No, it's really all right! I promise. It's hard enough being here .. and I'm just starting to settle in myself! I can definitely afford to help someone new here.. plus..

I mean, ... [ He pauses a moment, clears his throat and he swallows. ] We never know if we'll see each other again and .. if we don't I want to remember you fondly and vice-versa!

[ Since he mentioned the whole starting to settle in thing. Honestly, this kid already seems to know his way around this grocery place, so colour him surprised.

Even more surprised with that little random bit of strange friendliness there. ]

Yeah, only.. a couple of months or so.. Time kind of flew by. [ He leans himself against the cart and picks up a foot to start gently toeing the ground with the front of the shoe. ] I only just really moved out of the common place, ... space, meh, whatever.

I moved in with a guy I met here and his girlfriend. It's loads better than where I was at before. I bet you can see if Dante can help you out with a nicer place to stay? He seems to want to help, really, when it comes down to it! Also.. being our big fish and all!

[ Now that almost gets him to laugh. ]

Yeah, no. I don't really do roommates, much less ones named Dante.

[ That's not to say he wouldn't crash at the demon hunter's place if he really needed to. But, just like with hunting, Nero prefers to be alone. Or at least... with someone else. ]

Oh, boy... that'll go straight to his head! I bet he'd just appreciate it though! So, .. you and Dante are from the same world! Maybe you can tell me about it sometime?

[ Sora bounced again on his heels and he looked over the guy's face and wondered if he could get him to actually laugh before he leaves! ] Like... is there a thing about fish in your world and being the biggest? Because, let me tell you, I been to a world where being a fish was an actual thing! I mean, literally! I was a fish boy! Well, shark boy.. Believe it or not.

[ Somehow this kid has more energy than any of the ones he recalls back home and yeah, someone else sure would be more useful in dealing with him than he is because... Nero? Nero is not always the greatest with energetic folk. ]

Well, I've never seen a shark boy back home so I guess you got me there for interesting.

[ It's not like he's about to tell this kid about the numerous demons he's fought and taken out. ]

[ Ah, this is great, being able to share all of his stories without having to "keep the border order." Sora chuckles lightly and shifts his feet before he speaks up again. ]

Well, I don't want to keep you! If you want there are some restaurants you can hit on your way back to Gen Com, so .. if you're eager to spend the red bills.. like I was, you'll be sure to find something great!
