So, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but: we're free here to practice any belief system or religion we choose, right? Are there any designated places to do this? I can practice my beliefs anywhere, but I'm curious what others do.

Also, any good places to spar? Hand-to-hand, staves or swords? I'm always looking to keep my skills sharp.

And yet, here he seems to be. That voice is utterly recognizable, and he's not even pretending to be someone else, not even trying to use another name. ]

I would hope so! Though that'd depend entirely on the substance of the practice. I'm Christian, of course, which means the usual: prayers, liturgy, organized blood rituals. The usual. At least I've never seen any persecuted for their beliefs, but whether that's due to a lack of persecution or beliefs remains to be seen.

And yes! One can rent rooms in gyms--I do that--for that express purpose.

[ It's both as simple as that, and way more complicated. It's a name he chose for himself, and in that sense has some personal meaning to him, but it's also essentially nonsense. Made up. ]

That is my understanding of this place, yes. Perhaps it is due to how many of us have been brought here from elsewhere but the natives seem rather open-minded in that respect.

For the specifics, however, I expect much would depend on those of a particular faith designating a space for themselves. Providing for a religion they do not themselves practice does not seem to be a priority for the natives here.

[ He has to admit, he was expecting a bit more pushback for the sparring offer - after all, you'd think most people would be hesitant to try and fight a blind man. So it's kind of a surprise to hear someone jumping at the chance. ]

Ah, in a real fight I use a laser sword, but I'll stick to practice swords for a sparring match.

I mean, sure, laser swords are kind of traditional for the order I was raised in, but I know lots of other ways to fight, too. Like I said, staves, hand-to-hand, whatever works.

Besides, it'd be good to expose myself to other fighting styles as well.

I follow the path of the Jedi. I don't know if I'd call it a religion, but some people where I come from consider it to be.
