So, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but: we're free here to practice any belief system or religion we choose, right? Are there any designated places to do this? I can practice my beliefs anywhere, but I'm curious what others do.

Also, any good places to spar? Hand-to-hand, staves or swords? I'm always looking to keep my skills sharp.

[ Cassian straightens back to the military posture that has become unfamiliar in a year and a half of civilian life. ]

Well, I'm affiliated with Phoenix Squadron, don't know how far that name's made it around yet. Loosely affiliated.

[ Ah. Now it all makes sense, and he recalls why that name sounded familiar. However, speaking of loosely affiliated makes him hesitate. What point in time could he be from to be only loosely associated with it? Cassian's not too familiar with their history and asking too many questions might just make him suspicious. ]

Are you currently stationed on Lothal? General Syndulla was here for a short time, by the way, but she has been gone for several months.

I hadn't been on Lothal in a while, actually. The last thing I remember before showing up here was evacuating from Atollon. For better or worse.

[ That last bit of information gives him pause, however. ]

Hera was here? How - was she all right?

[ Because they had been forced to go their separate ways after Atollon. And any departure could, in theory, be their last. ]

Yes. She was alright. She... [ Was pregnant. With a Force-sensitive child. But she had been from later in the timeline and secrets are better withheld. ] ...was a valuable ally. We were glad to have her here, a General to lead our troops.

I'm sorry you missed her. There are only two members of the Rebel Alliance here, my droid partner and I.

[ This place would be a lot easier to deal with if her, or anyone from his crew, was here as well. ]

[ Protocol might not be Kanan's favorite thing, but he's been with the Rebellion long enough to implicitly trust any member of their ranks. ]

No Imperials. Not right now, though we had some in the past. Thrawn, Palpatine even...

[ Better he hear it from Cassian than anyone else, he figured when he felt a pang of guilt for springing this on an unsuspecting new arrival. ]

There are many dangerous or powerful people from other worlds here but there is currently no one person who is an overwhelming danger.

What, not even Grievous?

[ Yeah, he didn't miss that one of the biggest bad guys of the Clone Wars is here. ]

General Grievous is no danger to anyone but to the criminals of Nova City.

[ Cassian's voice has gone a little cooler at this. ]

He is a long-standing Deputy Guardian who has proven his loyalty to his city over and over again.
