Indian Summer Illusion: New residents, New villain, New anniversary [Video open/Action closed]

A [Video/Open to all]

[Mavis is sitting by the lake in Fayren.]

August is a great month of the year, isn't it?

[She sounds dreamy, and she might be blushing a little.]

I would have liked to be able to tell him that.

[She suddenly realizes the feed is open. She blinks and then simply smiles.] I've heard people celebrate anniversaries by offering something that corresponds to the number of years. Like... 50 years corresponds to gold, 60 years correspond to diamonds,... But I couldn't find a book about it.

Could one of you help me figure out what 3 years mean?

B [Text message - Private to Fayren's deputies + Moon Knight]
I believe you all saw this. Qubine, the villain in question is the guy who made the recent anonymous posts against heroes and guardians. I wanted to inform you that Aizawa - and probably some of his students - is going to be moving to Fairy Haven, for his protection. This means we need to be careful and keep an eye out for this villain.

According to the information I could gather, he's a human male, he has light blue hair and a disembodied hand covering his face. Though I suspect it's mostly a way to hide his true identity when actin as a villain, so he might not wear the hand all the time. Let me know if you notice any new arrival who'd match this description.

C [Action - Open to all Fairy Haven's residents/employees/regulars and to Aizawa, Bakugou and whoever they decide to bring with them]
[Mavis is waiting by the entrance of Fairy Haven. She's watching the horizon intently. Suddenly, she claps her hands happily and turns around.]
Mira! Erza! I think I see them! Want to come with me and show them their new 'classroom' and their beds in the dorms? Tatlyn and Zeref, you're welcome to come too.
[Though she's not sure Zeref will want to.]
[[Edit OOC note: feel free to threadjack any action thread you want.]]

Hmm. [An interesting ability, but somehow familiar.] Like make them rot? That sounds like something that someone with the Plague element can do.

[His thoughts trail off, wondering if he could use his Ice ability to counter it somehow. Either by freezing this villain to keep him from touching anyone, or by freezing part of his own body to keep it from crumbling.]

...To an extent. They don't necessarily have to touch their opponents. In my world, those with the Plague element can manipulate disease and decay, either physically or magically, in the same manner that others can manipulate their respective element. And like the other elements, Plague holds three advantages and three disadvantages against other elements. And Ice is one of the elements that are strong against Plague.

Although I don't expect that to apply to this particular villain, at the very least, I could use my Ice ability to keep myself from turning to dust. Or freeze him.

I suppose. I have two Plague dragons in my clan, and they could not be more different from one another, personality-wise...

We'd have to test it somehow, but I'm unsure how to go about it. We would definitely need a backup plan. Perhaps those magic barriers...

[Though it's unknown if those will work either...]

Well...Decilla uses physical combat, and Rafadel has magical ability. However, Rafadel has been...reluctant to use her Plague element, because she's been ashamed of it. She's been searching for ways to use the Plague for good, but there's still much that we don't understand.

[He considers Mavis's plan and nods.]

Illusions can certainly work.

Indeed it has. Rafadel had felt guilty, because our clan was suffering from a plague, and we had saved her from the Beastclans.

[He nods again.]

Light-based creatures have a similar ability to nullify their opponents' abilities. It's a spell that Liora might learn as she continues to develop her powers.

[It's a shame she doesn't know it now. It might come in handy at a time like this...]

It wasn't her fault...but since the plague was unleashed by the Plaguebringer herself, whom the Plague flight worships, I can see why Rafadel would feel the shame. Even the rest of us respect the Plaguebringer as a deity, even if we're not particularly fond of her.

It's good to know that Liora is making progress. I know she's been trying, and it isn't easy without the Passage...

Ah, yes, the Passage. It's how we dragons train for battle. We group in threes and travel to specific venues to battle the beasts there, developing our own unique strategies, learning teamwork while still maintaining some independence. The one downside is the high probability of death, but it's that risk that teaches us to use our better judgment.
