[The screen blips on and a woman can be seen in it. She's not smiling, but she's not as angry as some either. Mostly, she appears to be neutral. She's dressed casually, wearing jeans, a white top and a black leather jacket. She's hesitant, as if she wants to say something, but she's trying to choose her words carefully.]

So... There's no way to get home, huh.

[There is tension in her shoulders as she tries to relax, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly. As angry as she is, and she is angry, she knows losing her temper won't solve everything. Surprisingly, she has the voice of her pseudo-brother in her head and it's kind of calming her. For now.]

I... I've been to, uh, that place. Whatever. They answered my questions, I guess. [She rolled her eyes at that.]

Now what?

[ Sam's tempted to reply 'the same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world!' but if she doesn't recognize the quote, it's going to be really embarrassing.

He smiles and shrugs mildly instead. ]

You could stage a protest or a sit-in, maybe a hunger strike, but I doubt it would change anything. The best thing to do is find something to keep you busy. Something worth doing if it's possible. It's not a bad place, but it can be pretty hard to feel like your life is meaningful when you've just been given proof you have almost no control over it.

[In spite of everything, she smiles. He's cute and funny, clearly trying to cheer her up despite the situation and she's appreciative of it. Her head nods and she understands, even if it's still hard to wrap her mind around it.]

Honestly? [She frowned.] Back home I was a fighter. I... I did things that I'm not sure I want to do here. Depends on the situation, I think.

I fought at home, too. [ Monsters, but it didn't matter. He chose not to do that here unless he had to. ] You could wait tables or something until you figure out what you want to do.
