After donning her armor and examining the contents of the small box she was given, it doesn't take long for the general to realize she's not in Creation anymore.

Well with water they grow. I believe they also take in sunlight. That's how it works. It has a name for what it does as well.

Water and sunlight are needed for most plants in Creation as well. It is a curiosity that the plants here grow without Wood Essence or little-gods directing them. Were I a scientist, I would investigate, but let us return to practical matters.

[let's not get deep enough into this that I have to start wondering how the hell she can even breathe in a world made of atoms instead of motes of Essence]

Where can I find the identities of the current City Guardians?
