I've seen a talking skeleton, and plenty of mermaids, but I can't say I've ever seen a talking skeleton mermaid...

Did you happen to eat any unusual fruits? If you had one that tasted like garbage, that could be a reason. [Jinbei's fairly new to this place, so he's just going by how things would work back home.]

Could be a regional dialect. Can't say I've heard mermaids referred to as sirens, but I guess it could happen.
