Welcome
Though the evening outside is chilly, there’s nothing but warmth and lively atmosphere inside. The room itself (the ballroom atop the self proclaimed ‘most romantic and luxurious’ Genessian getaway) is almost blinding, glittering with gold from floor to ceiling, save for the towering framed windows that provide a beautiful sight of the city below. Tables are scattered here and there around the perimeter should attendees wish to rest their feet, but the centerpiece of the evening seems to be the massive, sparkling chandelier casting its warm, golden glow over a rather extensive dance floor. One end of the room is reserved for the band, poised just near the hearth featuring a roaring fire, while the other showcases a grand staircase on which one may make their entrance, should they choose to explore the upper lofts that surround the room beforehand.

Early in the evening, once the room has begun to fill, a couple steps up to welcome everyone on behalf of Genessia’s Performing Arts Center and the cast of their most recent musical. While the event is free, and they are delighted to be able to share a magnificent evening of splendor with everyone, they do wish to make everyone aware that should they choose to donate tonight, be it through benevolent gift or through the auction or gambling tables, all proceeds will be donated to the Red House Foundation- more specifically, Genessia’s branch, located in the heart of the city herself.
The call to enjoy the masquerade is punctuated with a deep bow and the swell of the band picking up once more to lead everyone into a night of majestic merriment.

Photos
With numerous celebrities about and the event in full swing, it’s to no one’s surprise that there are photographers practically crawling the place. Fortunately for all, quite a few have been hired by the event planning team and will be snapping moments (both candid and posed) of everyone in attendance. There’s even a designated area with various props to play with and a lovely backdrop doused in gold. These photos can be downloaded from the network later, so take advantage of these professionals, should your heart desire! After all, did one really look their best if there’s no photo to prove it?

Dancing
While there’s certainly no pop star performing and the music is much more classically suited, one will hear a familiar tune more often than not, spun by the tuxedo clad musicians to suit a more modern crowd. It’s upbeat and energetic for the most part, but every so often, they're likely to switch the mood to something much smoother (dare they say, romantic?) to sway to. Instructors are scattered throughout the crowd, should those unfamiliar with the ballroom style wish to learn something new!

Food
A party without food is absurd, regardless of the occasion. Drink flows readily from the bar, and an impressive variation of hors d’oeuvre has been laid out in a brilliant spread on the long tables along the edges of the room. Partake as you will, and leave a donation to show your appreciation if you’re so inspired!

Costume Parade
What’s the point of a masquerade without an outfit promenade? Show off your inspired attire to all who will gaze upon you. The more flamboyant, the more attention your costume will draw, and the more in-character one seems, the more believable the evening will be- Embrace the masks and let loose! Tonight is the night to be whoever (or whatever) your heart desires.

Gambling/Auction
Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, there are multiple donated items on which to bid, ranging from weekend getaways to baskets of sweets to… rather peculiar fashion and odd home decor.
To the right of the auction display, there are multiple gaming tables with waiting croupier, ready to assist those with heavy wallets attempt to woo Lady Luck. The winnings (should there be any) can be kept or donated- the choice is yours.

Gardens
If one finds a need to escape the swirling of dance and swell of the music, the gardens below may serve you well. There’s a lovely courtyard, and just beyond the fountain, a garden maze, well lit for the season with the gentle glow of dazzling lights. Take a stroll alone, or hide away with a lover or confidant, or snag a seat for the fireworks- the choice is yours.

Fireworks
No grand gala ever ended without a burst of excitement to round out the evening. Toward the end of the evening, the sky will be lit with a brilliant display of silvers and golds, all timed perfectly with the band’s final performance. One can watch from the gardens or the rooftop, or, if in need of something more ~private~, the balconies throughout the hotel.

[Well, he does. Just in a different vein. He leans back slightly as he listens, amused by how they're both having really unique relationship problems.]

Can't say I know what's going on in my head right now either, so I can relate. Like... even if everyone tells me to move on, in my heart, somewhere, I kinda thought... Well. [He takes off his glove to look at his 'hanashi' ring. He had wanted to ask Hana to marry him. Uai had been in really deep with love, so he isn't sure how to pick himself back up.]

All you can do is keep your end of the promises, I guess. We can't expect answers to questions we don't ask either.

[She's right, he was forced on penalty of not graduating to learn.]

[Also she's evil.]

[On the other hand, maybe it'll ruffle the phoenix's feathers.]

Smoker can't handle compliments, he's tsundere as fuck, okay?

And if he knew Aizawa did that... he'd punch him for Faye.

"Mind if I join you for either?" A beat. "Although it's been awhile since I played cards. Having such a beautiful woman next to me might be too distracting, so it'd be easier to just hand you my wallet, really." He might be joking. In as much as Smoker jokes around.

Yeah... Yeah, it certainly is.

[Snuggling? Snuggling. Anastasia relaxes as she leans back avainst 'her.' A comforting bliss until she is surprised by a big fireworks bang, making her squeal and laugh at her own reaction.]

That was a big one!

[Oh Uai... That was ironically the perfect thing to say.]

[AND HE GETS ANOTHER GLOMPING HUG ALL OVER AGAIN. THIS IS FINE. SHE HAS HUGGED WORSE.]

You'll only find out by doing. Don't feel guilty, just love. Let yourself be loved. You deserve it. I promise.

I wanted him to move on, I did. I tried to help it... or I thought I was trying to help it. But either he wasn't ready, or I was just lying to myself.

As they walk out onto the dance floor, Grell wears a triumphant smile. If there's one things she likes, it's a man than can dance, and listen to her talk throughout the night.]

You've been hiding~. I hope you were perfecting that special recipe of yours.

[She can't forget the yummy taste of those s'mores.]

[She laughs, and she's crying a little as she pulls back, but it's not from pain, mostly.]

I should just stop being a scaredy-cat and go bug him like I always do. It's what I want to, and he'll be waiting for me anyway, I think, yeah?

[A smile, a bit of a chuckle. It's hard to hide your upbringing behind clothing; a king dressed as a pauper is still likely to act like a king, simply because they've never lived as a pauper.] I'm certain that can be arranged. Would you prefer to lead, or shall I?

[He doesn't like seeing her cry in any amount, actually. In a rare instance of Uai's paranoia losing a battle, he leans closer to press his shoulder to hers. Just a brief half hug, where he's more worried about Rose's tears than the chance of hurting her.]

Mm. You should go talk to him. It's not fair to keep troubles to yourself in any relationship, hm?

And you should also off my bench~. I saw it first. [He's teasing.]

Of course, of course, tsundere as fuck it is. Faye smirks at his comments and holds out her free hand gracefully as if waiting for him to hand her his wallet. "We could play some cards and I can distract you and take all of your money...Unless you happen to have a spare cigar on you?" The bright eyed eyelash trick might not work quite as well beneath her mask, but she tries it anyway. Men can be particularly attached to their cigars, so she knows.

[Giggles, and pulls his head forward to kiss it.]

Okay, okay.

But you treat Azura right and make sure she has a fantastic night, all right? No moping forever either, Mister! [Waggles a finger!]

[She's only a little dizzy. THIS IS FINE.]

He hands her a cigar.

"You light that up in front of me and I'm going to have to--"

If he finishes that statement Aizawa is gonna kill him.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh dude's not here.

She had plenty of time and opportunity to brush Smoker off.

Hufffffffff.

Smoker glances around to make sure they're someplace fairly secluded and won't be easily overheard, and drops his voice low to a whisper and breath down to just her ears. "Well. Let's just say I think you know exactly where my mind will place that seductive mouth of yours."

Has he still got it? He's totally still got it. Unless she slaps him. Worth it? TOTALLY WORTH IT. \o/

[Soma/Malphas doesn't respond, for a few seconds. When she does, it isn't with words - it starts as a low hum, deep in her chest, and finally comes out as a low, soft song. Though Siren gives her perfect pitch, she's not relying on its manipulation abilities - this is pure song, low and sweet.]

So you know more than me.

[She watched the movements of people. It was something new and something she figured she might as well learn about. Even if she never needs to use the knowledge later.]

Are you going to give it a try yourself, or are you just going to always watch? Maybe we'll find out more by playing.

I figured it was a maze when it was in the name.

[She sighed slightly, if for a moment.]

Though what were you distracted by anyway?

[She only glanced up once to confirm that was "Somalphas" singing, and went back to resting against 'her.' She joined in, humming softly along until the song reached its conclusion.

Amongst the roar of the fireworks, she let something slip with her whispers.]

Je t'aime...

Je t'ador, mon amour. [She kisses the top of Ana's head, and says no more as they observe the fireworks display.]

[Aizawa was around, since he was dragged by the Guardian of Fayren. He wore a simple tuxedo and his goggles as his mask, at least he looked formal. His hair tied back in a man bun, clean, he looked well almost dressed like a hero.

He had some punch as well, taken a sip. Aizawa paused himself and looked down at the continent of the cup. Already he could taste the alcohol in it. Wasn't that strong for him, but still, it wasn't noticed, yet. Then he saw All Might's behavior, and the table. Aizawa set down his cup to assist the retired hero.]

Had too much punch?

[In the meantime, Aizawa tried to assist All Might to a vacant chair. Sit down old man.]

[That's exactly what Momtou would do, and it makes him chuckle softly.]

Mmhm. You two. Talk to you later. [Though, he's going to hang back on the bench for a while longer. He does need a few minutes to cool his head, before he starts acting like this could be a date.]

Good. Faye takes the cigar and holds it delicately between her fingers, finishing her glass of champagne and putting it on whatever surface was nearby. She raises a brow as he leaves off his sentence, inviting him to continue.

What he does say surprises her again - it has been too long since a man had said anything like that to her, plus with his voice so close to her ear. It's easy. Faye can feel a blush on her cheeks, mostly hidden by her mask. In counter, Faye puts the cigar between her red painted lips and lifts her eyes to his, apparently waiting for a light. If that's where his mind is going to go, then why not let it?

Yes, he really is.

[Can Grell see the slight blush? Or hear the fondness in Rip's voice. There's very little doubt she loves both of her men very very much. Though if Grell wants deets, she's going to have to dig a little deeper with Rip.]

Zhat vouldn't surprise me. Now lets see if I can get him to valtz vith me instead of break dancing all across zhe floor once he gets here.

Konoka can't help but laugh at seeing someone pig out on the free food. In bigger masquerades like this, there was always someone like this. She just ran into them that much sooner this time around, and she wasn't even among her friends and weirdo classmates (but she couldn't talk about not being a weirdo).

"Never miss free food on any occasion, I take it?" Konoka asked jovially. At this moment she wished she brought one of those fans to play up being the rich girl everyone thought she was, but she settled for a hand to her cheek. Homura would see a young woman in a kimono-styled gown and a flowery mask. "Is that stuff any good?"

"Well there usually isn't a lot to it. Maybe a few entertainment and such, but...If you don't like it then you at least know now that it isn't for you." For Kaoru however was use to parties like this so it was nothing new and something he like doing. The only difference was he wasn't trying to make deals and such like some adults might.

"But you should try the maze at least reguardless."

Nope. When we did pictures back home they were very much posed or family pictures of everyday things that the people who worked for us would deal with.

[Considering the number of people they went through just to do their photo album.]

So the goofiness is something everyday people love to do. Sounds like something I could get behind honestly and it sounds like fun anyway.
