[While Genessia has more than its share of benevolent dragons, leave it to Gellert to find a truly vicious one. The crack of what sounds like a whip accompanies the bellowing roars of the beast well. Gellert might look like a hero, silhouetted as he is by the dragon's flame, and he certainly seems unfazed by all the fuss.

But then he laughs and the sound is unnerving.]

Now, now, is that necessary? I just need a little blood. You won't miss a vial or two.

[He brings out the Elder Wand and he raises it, slashing it viciously through the air and...

Through the dragon's hide. Any blood spilt is drawn, with another quick spell, into a waiting flask. Of course the dragon doesn't like that at all. Gellert Apparates, bringing his audience along on a dizzying ride over the treetops, with the dragon in hot pursuit.

He shifts towards the mountains, where the cold air leaves frost on his audience's view. Then the communicator turns and Gellert is grinning wildly, madly, diving down into what looks like a mountain cavern.]

Wasn't that exciting? [With his feet on the ground, he ducks into the cave and brings out the spoils of his battle.] It is so very hard to acquire dragon blood.

[There follows an audible thump and he looks up.]

Poor thing. They want to bury me in here, is that it?

The Magic from this blood should break the last barrier. [He stands up and walks to the cave's opening, wand at the ready.] Be a dear and tell me if you hear anything? Your ears are better than mine.

Good.

[That does let her relax a little as she focused on hearing what was around him as he approached the cave opening. She's quiet for a moment.]

...To your left in the trees. It's waiting to strike.

Thought so. [He dips back into the cave and casts a few spells to disguise his presence.] They're smart; I will give them that.

[Soft snort]

Just be careful Gellert. They're brutal and relentless on top of being smart flying lizards.

They can't eat me if they don't see me. [Gellert is already casting a charm that will allow him to blend in perfectly with his environment.]

[li_amaranth]

...So, masking your scent as well? Because if they can't see you, they can still smell you.

[Just going to point that out since well, she's hunted that way too.]

I should move fast enough that it won't be a problem. [Unless the dragon is very lucky.] I will let you know in a few minutes!

You realize dragons are faster than they look, right?

[Don't worry, she'll wait and be here with more worried sarcastic remarks just in case.]

I'm quicker still! I do know how to fly without a broomstick.

Yeah, so do that. It's kind of what they do and they've been doing a lot longer than you have.

[Here, let her remind him of that little fact.]

You're fussing, Kelpie. [He prepares himself, tucking his communicator in his pocket, the screen facing outward so she can see the moment when he leaps off the mountain. He falls quicker than gravity would naturally allow, which is good because there is a roar right behind him.]

Of course I'm fussing you reckless wizard. You die, I'm still stuck with this fucking curse.

[She growls faintly as the communicator shifts. That and she might actually care about him in her own strange way. Friendship goals, right?]

Right behind you. Dodge right. It sounds like it's gearing up to flame.

Death isn't exactly permanent here and I would return with only a foul mood to mark the event.

[He has such a good friend. There is something softer twinkling in his eyes.]

Fair enough. [Gellert does better than simply dodging. He creates a zigzag pattern, his eyes closing briefly.]

You wouldn't be the only one in the foul mood.

[Li's pretty sure she'd want to beat the crap out of him for dying once he came back. Just to make sure he knows not to do that again. As for his directional changes.. yeah, she's having to look away or get motion sick trying to keep up with the images on the screen.

Thanks Gellert. Just what she needed. Still.. she's listening and every little bit warning him of where attacks might be coming from.]

Aw, sweet Lithium. [He is only teasing her because he's out of her reach. For now. In reality, she is probably going to be picked up in an embrace when they see one another again.

The sound of a dragon biting follows a spray of flames. Gellert doesn't scream; he laughs.

Yeah, he's nuts.]

[She rolls her eyes at being called sweet. The moment he's in her reach, she might be slapping him up upside the head if he didn't sweep her up in hug right away.

...The sound of the dragon that close doesn't exactly give her confidence in him getting away in one piece. Even if he is laughing like a maniac.

Lets face it. she'd be doing the same thing so they're both nuts.]

Idiot. You're letting it get too close.

[A swat upside the head won't stop him! She will be embraced regardless because she is his friend.

Then again, at this rate, he might not have arms to hold her. He glances over his shoulder and the picture will go black as the dragon finally gets hold of his cloak.

Damn. Damn damn damn! Gellert shrugs off the garment and lashes out at the beast, using a much more powerful spell to send the dragon falling to the ground. He takes the opening to Apparate, at last, to Fayren. She will see him staggering in front of her cave, falling to his knees with a shaky sigh.]

[Fuck. Fuck and Double Fuck! Li's about to scream at him about being stupid when she hears the tell tale sound of him apparating and then the next moment he's in front of her cave.

The phone and blankets are forgotten as she scrambles towards the entrance.]

Faster than a dragon huh? You fucking moron! There has to be better ways to get dragon blood than this!?

[His face is bloodless and his shirt is bloodstained from the graze of dragon teeth. It's a shame his skin isn't armored! Though Albus wouldn't like that. He turns to look at her, smiling weakly.]

I didn't consider other plans. This one felt the best.

[Until it didn't.]

[She can smell the blood long before she sees it and quickly makes her way towards him.]

You are such a fucking crazy ass idiot sometimes Gellert.

Next time, make sure I come with to make sure your backside stays in one piece.

[Already she's leading him in to somewhere to sit.]

Now, lets see how fucked up you got from that dragon and lets see if I can do anything about it. If not, we're calling Albus.

[He accepts the verdict; she isn't the first to call him crazy. Shocking, right? With her guidance, he enters the cave and sits down, pulling his shirt off over his head. The teeth marks are unmistakable, but they aren't terribly deep.]

My backside is fine. It's my back that stings.

[Now is not the time to be sassy, Gellert.]

Don't worry him unless you have no other choice.

[So very shocking. Li's just calling it as she sees it and okay fine, she might be proud of him for going against a dragon and angry for not being invited. However, right now she's more interested in the teeth marks as he takes his shirt off.]

Good news, you'll survive the bite and I wouldn't say your backside is safe just yet.

[Because she might just be tempted to beat his ass.]

...Yeah, well. I think just washing this out and wrapping it should work. Patching people up isn't my specialty. I kill people for survival don't forget.

[He glances at her quickly, his brows rising. Should he start running or - ?]

[Gellert gives her a sad smile, trusting, for the moment, on their friendship to save his backside.]

Do I look tasty right now, all covered in blood?

[She snorted faintly as she went for some water she kept in a ceramic pitcher near her sleeping space. She snagged a rag as well and returned to try and wash the blood away from his wounds. Even if the wounds did make him look tasty. ]

Yes you do and you better damn well appreciate that I like you well enough not to eat you.

[So yes, their friendship was saving him from a very messy end.]

Semantics! [He jerks away from her at first, misliking the sting. Yes, he can be a gigantic baby. What of it?]
