[Aurora was surrounded by animals, an owl on her shoulder. If the way she carried herself didn't suggest royalty, the crown atop her head most certainly did. She looked back to the animals, offering a smile.]

[The animals all nodded, the owl, in particular, offering a loud "HOO!"]

It is a pleasure to meet you all though I regret we do not have the pleasure of meeting in person. I am [She paused here, never having introduced herself this way before but knowing she would have to from here on out.] Princess Aurora, daughter of King Stefan and Queen Leah.

I am new to this kingdom and while there have been many things that have helped me understand everything, there's something I need some assistance with if you have the time to spare.

You see, there was... [How best to phrase this without causing massive amounts of concern or panic. She doesn't wish to worry anyone on her behalf.] quite a bit of magic done to me before I arrived here, and... because of what the magic entailed... I'm just not entirely sure how I'm awake. Does this place undo curses even done by the most powerful of beings?

[Unless all of them were under Maleficent's curse? It was entirely possible considering the faerie's power.]

[ Evie Mills isn't one to never have something to say. She's always there with a word of advice or a helpful comment or something. But when this girl mentions her parents names and then her own, Evie has to stop working on the dress she was sewing. She picked up the device and switches it on, staring at the girl with a look of confusion on her face for a moment or two before, with a small shake of her head that loosed some of her vibrant, blue curls out of the bun she'd tucked her hair into, she composes herself and speaks. ]

He flips on the feed anyway, and Aurora is treated to the view of a broad shouldered, well built man with the kind of long hair and heavy beard that wouldn't have been out of fashion in her own world. He smiles and offers a friendly little wave.]

Good to meet ya, Highness. This place tends to screw with magic now 'n again--might screw with curses, too, if one was laid on you. Sleeping curse, I take it? Might be able to ask my mate what she knows about those. She'd have more answers, she's smart as hell when it comes to spellwork.

Oh, I'm most certainly not dead, at least of that I am sure. My aunts were able to alter my curse that much.

I asked for their help and they came. Animals have always been my friends.

You survived a death curse? [That's more hardcore than he was anticipating, so he may seem a little impressed.]

It's quite... amazing to hear my curse has been undone, I must admit, my aunts weren't able to undo it at all.

Um...I don't think this place undoes curses, but...I believe everything is sort of put on hold while we're here. So when we get sent back home, everything will be as it was before you ended up here...

Well...it may not be escapable...but it might be better this way. Even if things turn out okay in the end...it would be a shame to miss it. I know it can sound terrible when terrible things are happening back home...

[ Most of the people of the Enchanted Forest who have been cursed are, or at least were, Regina's lookout. Aurora is one of those with whom Regina had little contact before the curse and she didn't end up in Storybrooke until after the Dark Curse was lifted.

Even so, Regina's feelings about Princess Aurora are complicated, to say the least. She was the template for Regina's attempted revenge against Snow. But Maleficent succeeded where Regina had failed. There's old resentment over that, as well as guilt, and a little bit of schadenfreude. But even more problematic: her father. Stefan was a traitorous, murderous twat who didn't get near the punishment owing to him (Aurora had gotten it instead, even though this one apparently hadn't spent much time under the curse).

Not to mention the fact Aurora's tormentor is one of her oldest (and for a long time one of her only) friends, an ex-lover, and currently a lizard in a terrarium in Regina's possession.

But being good doesn't leave loopholes for best friend's curses, and when Neil contacts her, there's literally no choice to be made about talking to Aurora.

Despite the modern dress, everything about the woman who appears on Aurora's screen proclaims her royal, from the impossibly glossy black hair to the perfect red lips and precise diction.]

Hello, Aurora. I'm pleased to see you well.

Because you'll be wondering... [ Indicates herself with a graceful gesture. ] Regina Mills, Queen of the Enchanted Forest. You've met my daughter Evie and my mate, Neil, already today, it seems.
