[Video] Arrival
[A short dark-haired man appears disgruntled after having to figure everything out on his own because pride would never allow him to beg anyone's assistance. No matter how inept he is with technology.]
I was informed these would be my temporary accommodations until I found employment. [Vegeta rubs his temple like it would rid him of the annoyance all together. It didn't. He was still there, along way from home, with little to no idea how he got there. If he's calm at all it's because he's grown used to being uncomfortable. ]
This place is hardly suitable for someone of my caliber, and I must leave it at once! There isn't even any space to train. How can anyone live like this?
As much as it displeases me to say, I will find a job quickly so I can be free of this place.
[He looks around the small room like it's going to be different than the previous times he's looked behind him. Vegeta clicks his tongue and ends the video feed in frustration. The point was to reach out for job opportunities, but he can't bring himself to request anything from strangers in a world he knows nothing about.]

you got it
And you don't mind living under those conditions? I may need a job just to have my own space. [He cringes at the thought. Kakarot is so loud he can hardly imagine how none of them have been driven mad by him yet. The video feed cuts off once he can sense his son is close enough that they can speak in person. Vegeta would have flew to him, but he isn't sure whether or not it's against the rule. There were so many bloody rules here.
He meets Trunks halfway, standing with his arms crossed as he sizes him up silently.] Have you been training?
[ Vegeta is still working on being more personable. As much as he pretends to be above certain things, he did pay very close attention to the hologram woman when she was explaining things, so he has all of the belongings he'll need to leave The Bay. Hopefully for god.]
[Action it is!]
It's good to see you too, Father. Yes, although I'm sure you'll still claim it's not enough. I've found myself teaching a few others too, including helping Bulla learn to hide her ki.
You can fly around these cities--although watch out for dragons in the city of Fayren. Mom and the rest of us live in Nova-City, and you need to watch out for jet-packs and flying robots, but it's nothing we're not used to. You also want to keep your pendant on you at all times--it allows you to pass between the cities. Mom didn't like hers, but I was able to sort of have it re-set as a bracelet and she likes that a lot more, for her birthday.
Do you want to head to where the others are, or would you like the briefing here?

[As Trunks speaks he takes out his pendant and puts it into the coat he's wearing since he was plucked out of the depths of winter when he was brought here, and in casual wear, at that. Vegeta makes a mental note to have Bulma fashion him another training outfit. Or maybe Bulla would find it less like a chore and more entertaining.]
I don't want to be here longer than I have to. Let's go. [And maybe he's a little eager to see his family in person.]
[Also..he's hesitant about saying this. The small talk thing is not quite his forte.] You and Mai...remind me of your mother and I. It's...I approve of your friendship. [It might be more than friendship, which he assumes, but doesn't want to make things more awkward.] Let's just go.
[Without giving much time for Trunks to respond, he flies straight up in the air, waiting on his son to lead the way.]

Trunks is about to turn, ready to take to the air again when Vegeta mentions Mai. And then continues--and--wait--what? How does he respond to that? It had been clear enough before that Vegeta 'approved' in his own way, but to have the verbal confirmation...
It means he's a step or two behind his father into the air, but catches up soon enough.]
We're...we're dating.
[More than just friendship confirmed, offered softly. Then turning towards the Nova City gate and leading the way to home.]

On the bright side he would be better company for training, and old enough that Bulma wouldn't fuss about it either. Vegeta follows along, chuckling to himself at Trunks' loss in velocity when he responds, but nods in approval. Saiyans were (in his opinion) the strongest warriors in the universe, but regardless of race or species, people tended to fight harder when they were fighting for something.
He'd figured that part out late in life, but not too late to pass on that knowledge.]
Let me know when to expect a child. Or a wedding.

Anyway, we live in Nova City. It's the most modern and advanced, at least technologically, city of them all. It's even slightly more advanced than your timeline, I think. Mom has a branch of Capsule Corps set up and running. For a while she was working two jobs, but she quit that thankfully. Mai works at a mechanics, and I'm part time at Torchwood as well as their liason to Capsule Corps, in addition to helping wherever Mom needs me to. Bulla recently set up her own business, although I'm not sure if she's working only there or still doing her other job too.
[Trying to catch Vegeta up on some of the basics.]
We're in one of the nicer apartment complexes. Goku's responsible for his own food, and Bulla eats out a lot, but I've been trying to handle grocery-shopping and learning to cook more than just the basics. Trying something new, as it were.

So you've slacked off on training to become the cook? [ He's joking, but he has to admit that's how it sounds.] I suppose I could take over the grocery-shopping to ease your load and curb the domestication of the Saiyan race.

Trust me, I'm far from domesticated and haven't been slacking off. Someone has to be the grown-up though in the house, and Mai's already done that enough just taking care of me AND the rebellion. Besides, it's been fun--I'd be happy to have you come grocery-shopping with me. Ana, that's our next door neighbor, and I do so pretty regularly and it's kind of fun for it's sheer normalcy.
Besides, I have no doubts you're wanting to test my progress, Father. So would you rather do so in the gravity room at Capsule Corps, or at the Coliseum in Attleton?
