Oh god! Rice balls! Someone was selling rice balls! Koishi was walking down the street, carrying a paper bag full of them. She had spent a good deal of the allowance her sister had set aside for her, but it was worth it. These would last all day! And there were plenty! It would be great to share them with Satsuki once she dropped by...

The little satori stiffened, cringing, dropping the last of the riceball she had been stuffing into her mouth to clasp one hand over her ear, flinching back and away from the shout.

"YOU'RE TOO LOUUUUUDDDDD!!!!" The little Satori's scream was nowhere near as impressive as Mako's, but she was upset! She dropped her food after all!

The shout was probably enough to break through her obfuscating cloak. Even someone as unobservant as Mako would be able to see the normally hidden youkai.

HOOOOH! A SUDDENLY APPEARING RICE BALL HITS THE GROUND. That was the first thing Mako noticed naturally.

"A rice ball, a rice ball!" She dove, studied it as she crouched nearby, then sighed loudly. "But someone has already been eating on it. That's wasteful!"

The scream was more than enough to have Mako jerking her gaze upward to Satori who just fwoosh, appeared suddenly. And after a long moment of silence, Mako screamed in reply.

"A GHOST!"

Koishi had been ready for the startled shout this time, having already pulled out two of the riceballs. She thrust them forward the moment Mako opened her mouth, cutting off her cry of "ghost" prematurely.

"I'm not a ghost!" She yelled it down at the girl. And then at a more reasonable volume. "I'm a satori youkai. But don't worry. I can't read minds anymore." She moved a hand to tilt up her black felt sunhat so she could see Mako better

The little youkai stood at barely 4'1" with luminous green eyes and a sphere floating in front of her chest, two vein like cords extending from either side, looping around her body to connect at her feet. They had also twisted into a heart above her left shoulder.

"My name is Koishi Komeiji!" she grasped Mako's hand and shook it. It was best she get this out of the way now before she could start shouting again.

Spirit was just walking down the street to go to the store when the girl releases that ear piercing scream. Despite his concern for her safety, when he approaches he still has his hands over his ears.

"At risk of permanent hearing damage... are you okay?"

"Eh?"

And then Mako began waving a hand.

"Ah I'm fine, I'm fine! I'm just looking for Ryuko-chan!"

He uncovers one ear, uncertain.

"And loud. Have you used the video phone? If she's here, she'll be able to see if you call with it."

And we'll all still have our hearing.

[Yuuki hadn't really expected to ear such a loud noise while walking home, but she does and she can't help but look to see who causes it.]

[Chihiro couldn't help but be amazed at the fact she brought so much... and it was all food. She must really love food or something.]

I think you'd have enough food to last you a while then, but... It would still mean you'd need money to afford a place to live around here because no place is free. Which would mean you'd need a job.
