[When Mao wakes up, he's barely bothered enough by the fact he's in a strange place. After all, he tends to play his games for hundreds of hours until he passes out from exhaustion and is often disoriented when it happens. However, when he turns over to grab his PSP Slaystaion(R)Portable where its place on his bed and doesn't feel it he opens his eyes and is met with his usual blurred vision. His glasses are in his jacket and he puts them on after rubbing his hands through his hair. They're thick and round and everyone should make fun of him. He finds the phone in his pocket while looking for his Slaystation(R)Portable but doesn't care about it until he finds the other device a few feet away. Luckily, the battery is still charged. Once he's familiar with the phone he storms out of the Bay.]

Hello?! What the heck!

[Mao finally turns to his phone, and accesses the network pretty easily. He sneers down at the screen.]

Who thought it was funny to take my Slaystation charger?! [WHEEZE] I'll kill you!

Where is this place anyway?! Geof--- [No, not Geoffrey. He can't call on him anymore.] Someone get over here right now!

It was not unusual for Koishi to show up at the bay. It had pretty much become part of her routine at this point, the mental calm providing a nice place to relax away from the psychic pressure in the city.

The little youkai was currently chasing a green dragon fly, heavy boots making dull sounds with each step, completely focused on the flying insect.

She didn't even notice Mao until she had ran straight into him. She tumbled forward with a yelp, the impact no doubt breaking her obfuscating cloak, the satori sitting up and rubbing her head where she hit it, her hat having rolled a short distance away.

"Oww... I'm sorry. My eyes were somewhere else." The satori's luminous eyes finally settled on what she hit, her third eye floating up, swaying from side to side. "... You have really big glasses! They look good on your face!" Completely sincere.

"What the heck--!" Mao wasn't paying attention either really, too busy fiddling on his phone, but nothing is ever his fault. He sneers at Koishi automatically and straightens up a little. She may have tumbled, but he didn't even lose his balance. He doesn't offer her a hand up.

At the mention, his hand goes to his face and he pushes his round glasses up his nose in true megane fashion, the lenses glinting wildly in the light. "Well duh they look good on me, stupid. My... dad got them for me." For some reason, he blushes a little, and pouts.

She floats up to her feet, luninous eyes studying him. Her third eye drifted up and close to him, as if examining him, though it was tightly shut. "Hello Mister!" She was leaning in a bit too close. "My name is Koishi Komeiji! It's nice to meet you." She took his hand, shaking it vigorously, unconcerned with the fact that he was holding his phone. She did, at least, make sure he didn't drop it.

Mao steps back, even if he's more interested in that strange eye than anything she has to say. Now that he's noticed it, it's intriguing and he looks it over as he best can while she leans in uncomfortably close. "What is that--Don't touch me!"

The handshake was too much, and he shoves her back, giving her a kick for good measure. "You think you have permission to touch ME?"

strangely enough, the kick missed. She didn't dodge it but it just sort of... He kicked the wrong spot. Entirely.

Regardless she didn't seem off put by his burst of anger, tilting her head once she was steady again. The arteries that looped around her body twisted themselves into a loose heart above her left shoulder. "You're silly mister! You're all over the place. Up and down and bursting with color. It's fun to watch."

She didn't grab hold of him again, but she did lean back into his space. "What are you? You have strange and colorful eyes. I like them a lot mister!"

"I'm a demon, obviously!" He didn't really get the "bursting with colors" thing. It sounds like something a hero would say though... ugh. He just crosses his arms, prepared to push her out of the way again if necessary. He watches the arteries, still very curious. "Anyone with a half of brain would know that."

"Oh... Part of my brain was disconnected from my head." She reached up and removed her hat, pushing her bangs back to reveal severe and very old scar above her left temple. A similar one could be spotted on her third eye by the obervant.

"I'm a satori youkai but I didn't want to read minds anymore so I pulled out the connection. Sometimes I don't know what I'm talking about but that's okay because now I can read the subconscious mind!" She flailed her arms. "I'm really really good at it too!"

That gets Mao to lean in himself, eyes widening in glee, his glasses glinting. "That's incredible! What's left, I gotta see!" Despite having told her not to touch him, he seems to have no qualms touching anyone else. In a flash he's pulled out a surgical hand saw from his pocket and turned it on with a whirrrring roar.

"Let me..." He wheezed, drool at the corner of his mouth. "I need to look!"

Koishi tilted her head, her third eye swaying from side to side. "You... Want to look?" She looked down at her eye, letting it settle in her hands. Gently she opened the lids. The eye was completely opaque due to a cataract. It almost looked like it was the result of scarring rather than the proteins in the eye turning opaque on their own. "Well its hard to see in there now. It used to be green... It still works though. It's just not connected to my head anymore."

She seemed largely unconcerned with his saw, a strange aura manifesting around her, making her outline a bit uncertain. Any moves he made against her would seem to miss as she redirected his perception.

After a few first "hits" that don't land on anything, Mao growls out in frustration. Why isn't anything working?! There was some kind of force field! That wasn't fair... The demon just wanted to cut open her brain and poke around a little, jeez! Then there was that eye... Finally, he turned off the saw with a huff. "Fine, if you wanna play it this way."

Reaching up, he pulled off the glasses she's complimented earlier, his big red eyes shining. They're really very pretty, even if he doesn't care about that kind of thing. He likes being intimidating, damn it! Then they shine a little too brightly and beams of light shook out of his eyes, blasting her dead center. "Take some light!"

When its deflected, it manages to ricochet right back into his face though, and he flies back about ten feet. Rolling in pain on the sand, he swore and spat... Then started feeling around for where ever his glasses could have gone off to. He couldn't see at all now, why hadn't he held onto them more tightly?!

Heh. Oddly enough she DOES have a bubble magic shield.

Several moments passed before a pair of heavy brown black boots entered his field of vision. Or what were probably boots... Yep they were boots.

The little satori crouched down, reaching forward and very gently placing his glasses on his face. "You need to be more careful with these. They could get lost if you take them off to fire eyebeams like that." She actually looked concerned. offering him back his surgical hand saw.

"That was a nifty shot too. Next time I'll graze the though. Grazing is fun. Especially lasers!" She didn't bother explaining what she meant, her third eye slightly open, blindly watching him.

Getting his glasses pushed onto his face like that made him feel a lot younger than he was. It was embarrassing! He was 1578 years old, he didn't need babied! Mao dusted his hands off and adjusted his glasses, putting his saw back inside his coat pocket. "The lenses refract the light and allow me to look at things normally. I have to wear them, and take them off when I want to attack!"

He doesn't look like he's going to attack her again, too busy pouting and looking embarrassed. People being nice to him was his kryptonite. "You mean you want to eat my Shine Beam?"

How tall is he? Koishi s 4'1"

"Nooo! Grazing is when you baaaarely dodge something, but you're close enough to feel the heat. Or when you coat your feet in magic to kick off someone else's magic so you can fly faster. It's fun to graze. And I'm really really good at dodging."

The artery twisted around once more, the heart becoming more defined. "You're really funny! Even though you tried to attack me. You're cute too! I like your hair. It sticks out at odd angles and is really fluffy and soft looking." She reached forward to ruffle his hair, again without permission.

I'm headcanoning it to be about 5'3"! there's no official but w/e

"You think you can dodge something that easily?" Mao looks a little offended, but he just freezes and huffs when she grabs his hair. It's really thick and coarse, but fun to touch. He's been told that before... Raspberyl said it even. He blushes and bats her hands away. "I am not cute! Get that thought out of your head this instant!"

"Yeah! I dodge lots of lasers. I have to if I want to danmaku duel effectively." She allowed her hand to get smacked away, laughing a little. "You're very cute!"

She perked up a little bit as he snapped at her. "You knew what I was thinking! How did you do that? People can't read my mind since my third eye got disconnected from my head. Not even my sister can! That's amazing!"

She pounced on him, hugging him tightly, blue tendrils sliding from her sleeves and wrapping around him multiple times. "I really really like you! We should do something sometime! I bet it would be lots of fun!"

"Gah!" Despite his struggling, Mao seems trapped. How did he get himself into this mess?! There had to be something he could do to get away, come on 1.8 Million EQ what are you good for if you can't figure this out?! He can't even reach his glasses to try another Shine Beam at close range with her tendrils around him. While it was all very interesting he couldn't be studying them like this!

Not to mention he was pushed against a girl's chest and that made him shiver just a tiny bit. Finally, he butts his head under her chin, trying to push her away. "I know more things than just that! I know everything!"

She didn't really have that much of a chest to push against him, though that didn't really detract from how embarrassing this was... She was so small in every way. Actually her frame was shockingly small for having so many surprisingly large tentacles. Each one was about an inch in diameter at least and was the same deep, velvety blue as her third eye, each ending in a very large, soft spade.

"Know Everything? That's a lot! That's really amazing!" Oh great! Now she was nuzzling him, her third eye drifting up to squish itself against his cheek! "It must be hard to know everything. Nothing must be fun or surprising anymore that's not good!" Squeeze. "We should have fun Mister! I bet you'd love it. We can do all sorts of interesting things!"

The tentacles were finally letting go, sliding back up in her sleeves and away as quickly as they had come. Finally she let go completely, reaching up once more to ruffle his hair. "Your hair is really fun to touch~"

Really, it didn't matter how flat or curvy she could have been, she's a girl and Mao is fifteen. It doesn't help that his own girlfriend best friend eternal rival was flat as a board either. He winces when the eye squishes against him but at least now he can take a look at it, seeing the tendrils pulse and move. How strange and interesting!

They let go of him soon after though, and Mao finally dusts himself off thoroughly to make sure nothing was out of place. His Slaystaion(R)Portable and phone were still there, as well as the key... nothing was amiss. "Fine. What fun thing do you have in mind?"

Though Koishi tends to like everyone.

The eye seemed to have the same velvety texture as the tentacles. The skin, however, was less loose. The eyelid seemed to have a bit of soft cartilage, the sphere itself having a bit of give and spring to it. It seemed to be mostly made up of rigid cartilage but there were certainly several rings of bone.

The tentacles, however, were mostly tendon and muscle braced and stretched very thin rings of soft cartilage or stiffer tissue. They had some elasticity to them almost. Its likely they could collapse vertically. It certainly would partially explain why she could fold them up in her body.

"I dunno. I bet we could find all sorts of things to do." She finally stopped playing with his hair and reached down to grasp his hand, pulling him to his feet. "Come on! Come on! Do you like food? there's a lot of good food around. Unless you want to do something else. There are all sorts of places to go and see. What do you like? I'll show you!"

"... I like food," he admitted, frowning at her handholding and pulling his hand back from her grip but he followed her all the same. "Something sweet... and somewhere with a lab! Is there a place like that?"

"There's lots of sweet things!" She paused, turning to take his hand again. "If I don't hold onto you then you might stop seeing me. If you stop seeing me you might forget me. That's my power. It's a good power but it's very frustrating when I'm trying to be noticed and remembered." She looked back at him. "Do you like cake? Or ice cream? What do you want?"

A short pause. "I dunno about a lab. There's a lot of big buildings I haven't explored. I bet you could find one. I know where there's lots of magical things though if that's what you want."

"Well I have to find a lab!" Mao is very adamant about this. "Preferably mine, where is the Netherworld Portal around here?"

There's a pause before he shrugs, "hard candy. What do you mean, forget about you?"

Koishi paused, tilting her head. "There isn't a netherworld portal. You can open one though if you ask really really nicely and give up something of value in exchange. I asked really really nicely and gave up childhood memories of my mother in order to open one to old hell. My home. Mom said 'you two take care of each other' when Sis and I left home, so she would understand me giving up her memory so sis could keep a roof over her head. And since I can't feel sorrow anymore its better that I give up my memory instead of sis." A smile. "Memories are very special but family is more important."

She tugged him along quickly passing many residents in the city, not one of them turning to look at the strange pair. It was like they were invisible. "And people forget about me. That's the power I gained when my head and eye were disconnected. People look at me, their eyes can see me, but their brain can't recognize me. Sometimes I can make them recognize me but when they look away their brain forgets. Except for children. Children can usually see and remember me just fine."

She stopped in front of a colorful shop with candy displayed in the windows. Sweet treats of various sizes and shapes. The scent was absolutely mouthwatering. "Do you have the envelope you woke up with? There's money in it." The artery over her left shoulder twisted itself into a heart, third eye swayed gently from side to side. It was slightly open. "You can buy all sorts of candy with it."

"Mm... who do I ask? It's important I go back to the school!" Not because he wanted to do his duties or anything, he just didn't want to be without his lab or games for very long. And if he went back, he could get his Slaystation charger without any problem! By now, he's letting her drag him along...

He doesn't think much about where they're going, but he does wonder if he'll get lost later... no, he'd be fine. He'd just make someone else tell him the way if he got lost. Hell, Raspberyl was here. He could manage it. Looking up at the sweets, he frowned a little.

"I'm the Overlord, I shouldn't have to pay."

It's okay. I'm always up for finishing things.

"Oh. School. I haven't been to a school in centuries. Satori schools involve using magic and our powers to imprint knowledge into another's mind. That's not how humans do it though. A nice lady in the village where I live runs a school. I've been a few times but not too much."

She looks back up at the candy shop, dragging him inside with little thought. "You have to pay. It's polite. If you don't pay then they wont give you any candy."

She walked between the rows of colorful sweets, eyes alight. Considering how energetic she was already this probably wasn't the best place for her to be...
