Following the recent spooky happenings in Everglade and Fayren, people could use some time to wind down and cool off after the fact. Knowing this, Gale sent out a mass invite to come by Hangar Queen for a day of mingling. He's waving the cost of food and drink for the day (given what he makes, he can take the financial hit), so people can just relax and have a good time. A special note is made to remind people that all ages are permitted and alcoholic and non-alcholic drinks are available, with alcohol available for ages 16 and over. Just don't cause any trouble and Gale will see no reason to throw anyone out. The club's mascot is even there for pictures! So why not swing by, even if for a short while? There's nothing to lose. Except your time.

Just be prepared to hear Danger Zone played a lot. It's a moral obligation for this club. Sorry (not sorry).

[He nods. Toshinori. Yagi. All Might. Take your pick. He spent enough time abroad that he isn't put off by people using his given name. He smiles a bit awkwardly at that.] Yeah... I imagine I did... Do... heh... It's been a stressful few weeks.

It has. At least we know now that everyone can pull together if things get tough.

[Uai begins mixing a blue and yellow drink together. How is he still alive after all of this drinking?]

You didn’t go into Fayren or Everglade, did you?

[He scratches his cheek for a moment smiling sheepishly.]

Well... I kind of live in Fayren, so... it wasn't all that avoidable.

[That and. Hero stuff. Despite the whole not having a quirk anymore... And then winding up in some shiiiiiit...]

[Uai frowns and puts his elbow on the table, hiding his mouth ( and snark ) when he rests his chin on his palm,]

You really are like mother... [Sighing, he corrects his posture. Almost.]

Yeah, I was trying to help out around Fayren myself. Couldn’t quite crack the puzzle of that magic.

Hm? [He quirks a brow at that--who is he like? But that's ok, it must have been a private remark. He takes another drink of the fruity concoction. Oh yeah, someone could get drunk on this fast and easy. Which begs teh question again why Uai isn't halfway to alcohol poisoning...]

Yeah... [He doesn't even know what to say about it really. He is just glad that the power at work had only picked that nomu out of their heads and not a fully restored All For One...] not that any of us know the first thing about magic. [The Pro-Heroes he means, of course.]

You probably know more about it than you think that you do.

[Uai, who would be dead if he was human, leans back in his seat. His attention is still mostly on Toshinori, which makes the way he tips his chair back seem careless.]

Not like it's time for a magic lesson, though! Whatever it is, it picked people's brains. Hopefully it isn't going to blackmail us with our fears or something. That's what I would do.

[Perhaps admitted a bit too casually... But there was a point where Uai would have sided with the "villains" in Genessia.]

Yeah... I've heard of quirks back home with a similar function... Maybe not that prayed on fears, but at least one where the person would instantly know things about the people she looked at, including weaknesses...

[A quirk that All For One could possibly be holding now...]

I imagine whoever decided to do this could very well do that. Blackmail, or potential counter measures against specific enemies...

[And god... now that he's said it out loud he can see connecting strings that make the hair on the back of his neck stand up--and he quickly drinks the rest of that orange concoction in his hand. Shit.]

[Uai watches curiously. Since he was at the meeting, he has an idea as to what is worrying Toshinori. Probably his fault that the conversation is being steered this way, honestly. Would be nice if he could learn some tact and common human decency... But naw.

He at least stops toying with gravity and the chair.]

Well... If it was meant to discourage us, or weaken us, then I think their plan backfired.

Yeah. I think you're right. It wasn't a walk in the park, but I think most people were able to face their demons down...

"Demons" isn't the best way to put it... What you fear says a lot about what you value.

[Uai begins swirling his drink around in his glass, mixing colours and flavours together.]

Or who. I hope it was helpful for people. When you realize what you're fighting for, I think your fears become strength. For me, anyway... I'm more motivated now.
