Hello there, good people of Genessia! Captain Jack Harkness, at yer service, though I've a few questions to ask as I sally forth: Most importantly, does anyone know if man who calls himself the Doctor has been hanging his coat here?

And less importantly, what's the best place to meet folks for a few drinks and maybe a bit more? [Said with his most charming smile.]

I suppose the pertinent question is... which Doctor? Since this realm cares little about things like time when it drags people here and there are at least four that I've seen.

That's a very good question, and I've seen a couple different faces of our time traveler in question: one had cropped hair, dressed a bit like a U-boat captain, while the other's got far nicer hair, skinny as the proverbial rake under a blue suit and a long brown coat.

And I kinda got the feeling this place likes to summon people from anywhere and anywhen. Mind if I ask where and when you're from, with those lovely wings?

Ah, the more careless one. [ She... kind of has a grudge against that one. ]

Earth, at least a version of one, France originally, though I'm quite long lived.

So many newcomers as of late.

[A blanket statement if any. Augustine hasn't been keeping track on any of this. He just noticed there's a slight uptick of new arrivals in the last twenty-four hours. That's all.]

I always find it rather humorous how eagerly newcomers greet us.

[That chuckle gets a grin out of Jack.]

Glad to be another of the newcomers. Seems like a good place to hang my hat, if I had one, for a while. We'll say I'm accustomed to traveling, but sometimes, I like to stay in one place and enjoy the scenery. Especially if I can share that scenery with some pleasant company. [Mayyybe a flirtatious lilt on that last bit.]

[Oh? Oh. That flirtatious little quip catches Augustine off guard briefly but eventually he grins.]

Last face I knew he was wearing: young fellow, brown eyes like a puppy, mussy hair, blue suit and sandshoes, and he's skinny enough to give you a paper cut if you hugged him too hard.

New form of meditation, or some exercise routine?

Ha! That's a good one. I'll have to remember that. He's around. Not sure where at the moment. Generally likes to go round in a big blue box and make a nuisance of himself.

[Ten noticed Martha, Jack and his eldest self- had all gone missing and where The Doctor is glad to hear Jack's voice again - it also hurts that it's not the Jack that someone built a rather intimate relationship with - but maybe its a good thing too because now; Jack doesn't have all the pain of what Rose put most of them though. The question is when is Jack now? Ten is going to look and neutral face]

[Jack's eyes by turns darken a bit, then brighten on seeing Ten's face, and his smile returns.]

Doctor? Take it I've been here before and gone away suddenly. Seems this place can't let me go, so... I'm back! [And there's that grin.]

[There's a returned smile; okay Jack knows this face. So that means - Jack is at least from The Year That Never Was. However, the smile becomes more solemn; and a whisper of]

If you need a doctor, there are quite a few. Is there something different about the one you are talking about?

To answer your other question, there are a few bars. I heard the one in Nova City is pretty good, but I'm not that interested in tech geeks.

Nah, not *a* doctor - haven't needed to see one in a very long time - but *The* Doctor. Rather specific fella with some very specific specialties.

Tech geeks, eh? I've known some tech geeks that made some very interesting company. Stereotypes don't always turn out to have much real-world traction.
