(Fifth Flight - Video)
(There is no reason for what she has to say to be private, however it is a bit personal, so she chooses to phrase it in another language.)
Avy jorrāelan, Rhaegar.
(Valyrian is their native tongue, after all, so perhaps the sentiment holds more meaning this way. Daenerys beams, bright and sweet, after announcing her feelings before she addresses everyone else.)
How many soldiers would you say we have between the cities? How many are from other worlds and how many are native? Should the cities be attacked, are there plans to raise the defenses?
I haven't seen many walls or weapons for that matter.
(She should probably explain her line of thinking.)
I come from a world that is unsettled and violent. If this world is able to bring my brother and myself here, I worry others might arrive too. Others that have no desire for peace.

[He finds it curious, but doesn't believe it can be truly explained.]
Were all dragons aligned with fire in your world?
(She can only presume the blood has become diluted over the years. Many years.)
Yes; they all breathe flames.
In Sornieth, dragons are aligned with one of eleven elements, and are able to breathe or control their element by other means. I rather prefer this versatility, plus it keeps the elements balanced. Losing that balance can be dangerous, so it must be preserved.
Oh no, the deities still live to keep the elements in check. Their powers often go out of control, so they've divided our continent into eleven regions to keep the world from falling apart. We dragons share a fraction of their power...and perhaps those other beasts who have elemental alignments as well.
[He doesn't know enough about the other beasts, since they've shown no loyalty to the deities, and some have no elemental alignment.]
Except for my sons' fire.
There may be good reason. At least for our deities, their power is more than enough to destroy the world. It is true that we must find our own place in the world. It builds our character, and helps us to discover who we really are. Having the deities solve our problems doesn't really help us to build our own strength.
As for your dragons' fire, if it can't be put out, how does it not go out of control?
(She looks pensive over the first part, considering the path she has had to take to reach Westeros.)
I can't say our gods - if they exist - care that much about us. But it doesn't matter. I will find my strength and live my life to the fullest.
Even if I don't know your gods, I have to believe they exist...or did, anyway. Even if they do still exist and don't care about meddling in the creatures' personal affairs, never forget that they cared enough to give us life to begin with.
[Video] [CW: Mentions of rape.]
Tell me, where do the gods care?
Life is precious, regardless of what you have endured. I do hope your hardships have not made you lose sight of that. This is coming from someone who has endured his own tragedies. Need I remind you that I've lost both of my sons as well?
[Really, do they need to get into a "hardest life" contest?]
In spite of all we have lost, we keep living. Why is that?
(Also Jon Snow, but that is a complicated matter.)
Because we have fought for it with every fiber of our being. If the gods began my world, so be it, but it now lies in the hands of those who inhabit it.
Fair enough. [At least they've reached an agreement there.] But I don't want to hear you imply that your hardships made your life not worth living, because that's how it came across to me.
[He sighs, moving back to the previous subject.]
If you're concerned about defending this world, may I suggest running for Guardian when the next election comes? I think Fayren would suit you. You would have my vote for sure.
(To live, to conquer, to be queen if the Wights can be defeated.)
I will think about it. I do care for the safety of everyone whether I know them personally or not.
The gods tend to inadvertently make things worse more often than not. That is why dragonkind was born in my world, after all.
That's all I can ask, really. These human politics can be a pain at times, but you seem to be accustomed to them. You would have a good chance, I think.
Thank you. Your support is something I cherish, though, whether or not I acquire the position, you have my support in return.
There are hardly any in my world who would believe that. Even now, it feels strange to see those who revere dragons as you do...
[Not that he doesn't appreciate it.]
I doubt I'll ever run for Guardian again. Being shackled to human laws doesn't appeal to me, and it took me too long to realize that being a Guardian would only tighten those shackles.

(She was Queen of Meereen, for example, running a city and seeing to its defenses.)
Spread your wings and go where you see fit.
