Eggs are nature's treasure. They are seeds of life. They can have baby chicks, ducklings, guppies, dinosaurs, or anything imaginable.

Sometimes they have chocolate, or flowers. Sometimes they make you de-age, and split personalities.

Eggs are the jewels of the natural world.

[He's just down for chocolate eggs at this point. He doesn't want the rest of it.] Yeah, but I was told the overlords put them here. So are they still from nature? [He's so confused.]

[LAUGHS!!!] Who told you there's overlords here?

Yeah, but the guy said so! [Ace huffs, it seemed plausible enough to him.] I don't remember his name, but he was warning me about the eggs.

[Flappy hand.] He's just cranky. He's not a bad guy, but he's not a world traveler. And he's lost a lot of people he cares about. It can drive even the most stable of us off a diving board.

This place is a pocket universe. Hidden away from time and space normally, and drags in loose threads like bits of spare berri and lint. I'm not unconvinced it wasn't created naturally, but I suppose not, given the pendants. I think it was just an experiment that got out of hand. It's a place for second chances. To do what you want. Make of it what you will. I do wish I could get us to a world with open ocean, but... eh. [Rolls his shoulders. Too much tugging is dangerous and runs the risk of losing a lot.]

The eggs aren't dangerous. Just akin to a good prank.

Maybe? I think so? I dunno, but he said there were overlords and stuff like that. [Ace takes in the explanation, and unlike the first couple of times someone tried to tell him their thoughts on it, this makes sense. Maybe this is just a place for second chances. Or third. or fourths. or fifths. Depending on who it is, and how many versions there are and no. This is making his head hurt.] He said last year someone got blinded. That's kinda leaving the harmless territory.

Ehhhhhh. I don't know about that. [Head tilt. THINKS.] Most likely they did something to cause it. I know it wasn't completely harmless. But the ways in which it was dangerous was because people used them badly. Same as devil fruits, Sparks. Just because you can destroy the world, doesn't mean you will, eh?

I don't know about any of this. It's a mess. [He sighs, and gets back to egg hunting.] I've got a couple for you already, damn.
