[Midboss had finally been getting on his feet and regaining his confidence again, especially since he had begun staying with Laharl and Flonne. He knew that at some point, Lucifer would make his re-appearance, and at the time, he thought he had prepared himself for this eventuality.

Obviously, he had not prepared himself as well as he thought. Cold dread rushed through him the instant he heard that familiar voice, draining most of the colour from his face. He was a former Overlord of the Netherworld. He shouldn't, couldn't be so afraid of this man but he'd already started shaking to point he needed to sit down, taking a few deep breaths to try and make the urge to throw up go away. It felt like a hand gripped around his throat, stopping him from speaking. The nausea was already making him dizzy. Midboss closed his eyes tight, trying to will the room to stop distorting.

He would not turn on the video function, yet. He couldn't let Lucifer see how badly he was shaken by this, but he...he had to find out what Lucifer was going to do. Even if he was not strong enough to defeat him, he had to know. He was at the other end of an audio connection. He couldn't get to him from there, he tried to assure himself. Finally, slowly, he willed himself to speak, trying to keep his voice as level as possible.]

...What are you planning?

[That voice was certainly familiar. It was amusing to hear his voice feigning bravery. Somehow, Lucifer delighted at the thought of how much his little toy could have suffered the past two months. Delighted even more at the thought of inflicting more pain upon his already ravished body.

But today, he tried to keep civil. In a way...]

[The answer to Lucifer's question came quicker than he intended. He was trying to ignore the goading as best he could, just willing himself to try and find the answers he needed as quickly as possible. He would hate it if he knew Lucifer considered him a toy to be broken and played with. The past two months had been...difficult, certainly.

At least, for the time being, he was able to stop shaking too much, but it did not take a great deal of observation to hear the fear in his voice he was trying to mask.]

[Pink. Pink. Pink. Looks like Orihime found the piano! Her fingers linger on the keys, but don't push anything else. Then her hand strays back to the thick fur of the giant werewolf following her around like an adoring puppy. She does find it weird that Kira would call it a 'werewolf' instead of 'a really big wolf', because as far as she can tell, the werewolf has never taken on human form. So she wanders absently through the house, until her feet skid to a stop, and she resumes her new favorite hobby: staring blankly at nothing for an hour or two. At first she seemed to space out for only a few minutes at a time, but in the passing weeks, her inattention has gradually increased in duration.]

[He found someone to watch over the tattoo parlor. The underground drug deals were running smoothly. As far as Lucifer's concerned, Kira has it set for the next decade or so with all his contacts. So now, he can have time for himself. Thus, after the feed was over, Lucifer made his way back to his mansion. Now it was a stark improvement from before. It now had dark spires surrounding it. The walls were now more massive and the aura of the place was darker than before. Of course it would be that way, part of his essence was in the house.

Landing inside his house, he saw Lycaon barking endlessly at Orihime. He never does that. The werewolf fancied Orihime so much that he kept his wolf form for so long and always enjoyed sleeping beside of her. Silly monster acted so docile beside Orihime.

When Lucifer walked closer, he noticed that she spaced out again. In an instant, he planted both hands on Orihime's shoulders and sent some astral energy to snap her out of it. So she can regain control.]

[Orihime rocks a little in place as he speaks her name, and finally blinks. Then she can't stop blinking. Ahhhhh her eyes are so dry!]

[And...where is she? Wasn't she just playing around on the piano? How did she wind up in THIS room of the house? Her attention falls to Lycaon, and a faint smile breaks through the confusion. There's her good boy!]

[Real cute, Lucifer. Satsuki at first doesn't really take anything from the big bad's ... Taunting? Is it taunting? She isn't certain, but either way she isn't going to dignify any of it with a response.

At least that was the case until she thinks she recognizes the otherwise somewhat vague shot. There's no way... He wouldn't.]

[Satsuki is quick to grab her sword then makes a sprint down the hallways to eventually make her way out to the main yard. Finally her eyes quickly dart to the area she suspect he was standing, then elsewhere.]

[It wasn't too hard for Lucifer to feel the Deputy's nearing presence. But he took no effort to leave his position. He just kept himself there, and examined the whole building.]

Sorry I couldn't attend the tour. Too many pests roaming around.

[Then he turned his head slowly to meet Satsuki's gaze with his cold and haunting silver eyes.] It's not so bad, what you did with the place. Not that any of it matters.

[Satsuki's frown only increases. It goes without saying that Lucifer's appearance here isn't really welcome, but at the same time she isn't looking for a fight.

She is ready for one, however, her gaze meets his with an intensity that her stance otherwise doesn't reveal. But his is far more unsettling..]
