Then that would make this place Hell or possibly Heaven. He’d assume the latter. He just finished reading the little flier, and he’s finding the stuff a wee bit hard to swallow. So after messing around with the device for a while, he decides to say something.]

So what the piece of shite pamphlet said is true. Someone just brings our arses here and dumps us off here? And for what? None of you figure out that bit of info yet? There’s gotta be a purpose for all this.

A pleasure, Mr. Haller. I was named after my late-but-no-less-exalted father, whose role as Lord Death I have recently assumed.

[It was just a guess, really. When someone says they are Lord Death, he doubted that meant they shot rainbow kittens from their fingers to brighten everyone's day.]

Earth. Unless you mean a specific place, in which case I've moved around a bit. California, Paris, Scotland. Though for sure the next place I was gonna add to the list was "non-existence" but looks like it'll be Genessia instead.

Pretty sure. Never put a bit of product in my hair. I probably would if it'd help it lay down, though.

Two lives and an afterlife between have taught me one thing: Not everything has a purpose and some stuff just sucks. Though on the scale of sucking this is pretty low-level suck.

With a few exceptions, it's a pretty normal world full of abnormal people. And a bunch of people who get second chances from being dead, too.

Well, realistically I don't know that you could call anyone "normal" if they're a real human being. Have you ever spoken to someone who was actually totally normal? It's creepy and it's usually fake. But aside from that point, abnormal in this case means something along the lines of "spectacularly good looking" or "crazy superpowered demon" or "guy who has an extraordinary obsession with yo-yos."

[ Okay, there wasn't anyone she knew who had a thing for yo-yos, but it was an example. ]

Superpowered people is more so along the lines of what I might consider abnormal. You consider spectacularly good looking people to be abnormal? Or do you just consider them abnormal here? [Because David has seen some good looking people in his time..granted they had superpowers, but still.]

That's the same for me, but there are other kinds. As for the spectacularly good looking, they're in abnormally concentrated amounts. Not everyone here looks like a celebrity, obviously, but it's honestly questionable how many people do.

Maybe whoever is in charge is just real picky about the people they bring and only want mostly good looking people.
