As I'm sure you all have seen by now, the results of the elections are in. I tried to assimilate into the culture here and to form a symbiotic relationship with this place. However, the people here have made it clear that they do not wish to have a Pokemon in charge of guarding this place, despite the roll of guarding nature that Pokemon take on naturally in our own world.

As such, I have little choice in the matter here. While I search for a way to escape this place, I will require sustenance. I refuse to simply starve myself for the convenience of humans, meaning the only recourse left to me is to take what I need.

If you value your safety, do not attempt to stop me.

That may be true, but at least if it's possible the other City Guardians can always keep a watch on her so she doesn't do anything like that to people again. It's the least I could do to try and be helpful.

I wouldn't feel good about it, but at the same time I wouldn't blame the whole world for a handful of peoples actions. I trust in people, if they break my trust then that's a different matter, but not everyone would be like that.

You speak of trust as a typical human would. Your whole life, you've been given choices. Who to trust, what to do. In that sense, you are free. I was born into servitude. The veil of choice used to manipulate me into doing what the one who held my leash wished.

Scars like that do not simply vanish overnight.

And I'm sure they won't, but time is always a good healer. One shouldn't stay stuck in the past, but it also can be what shapes someone for the better no matter how bad it is. That's what I believe at least and you may not change right now, but given time I'm sure that could change.

It makes me sounds naive, but I like to believe in the positive.

I do not deal in faith or possibilities. Humans have great capacity to be sure, but I deal in facts, and these are the facts as I see them. I attempted to assimilate into a culture I had no attachment to, offering a mutually beneficial arrangement, and I was denied in favor of a violent, unhinged, warmonger.

I have nothing left to offer, and they have shown they wish to have nothing to do with me. This is the best arrangement available to anyone at the time.

I do not believe you have no attachment. You just said yourself that you tried to do something, even though you lost in the end. It shows you wanted to help and shows you have some attachment deep down, but you might not have yet noticed such a thing.

That is what I will believe, even if you find my ideals to be silly.

All it means is that I attempted to avoid this very situation. Nothing more, nothing less. Do not mistake pragmatism with attachment.

Then I am sorry if I did mistake it, but please if you want help I'd be more than happy to help you so you don't have to resort to doing things that aren't right.

I do not need charity. I will not accept it.

Sometimes people do it because they want to with nothing in return. I guess that is charity but at the same time I do not want anyone to starve.
