As I'm sure you all have seen by now, the results of the elections are in. I tried to assimilate into the culture here and to form a symbiotic relationship with this place. However, the people here have made it clear that they do not wish to have a Pokemon in charge of guarding this place, despite the roll of guarding nature that Pokemon take on naturally in our own world.

As such, I have little choice in the matter here. While I search for a way to escape this place, I will require sustenance. I refuse to simply starve myself for the convenience of humans, meaning the only recourse left to me is to take what I need.

If you value your safety, do not attempt to stop me.

I simply do what I must to survive.

Which is now stealing and attacking humans that get in your way. And not even necessarily because that is your only option, even though you said you explored all your options.

I'm not attacking anyone. Simply defending myself from those who attempt to hunt me down after the fact. It is the only option available to me at this time.

If you did nothing wrong and they came after you, I would be on your side. But if you steal from people they will come after you to get you to stop. They are kind in their right to do so.

[David holds his hand out and floats a little potted plant over to himself using his own telekinesis and he shows it on the screen.]

You say stealing is your only option, but.. [Suddenly a small plant sprouts from the soil and it starts to bare the same berries that are in Fayren. David keeps it small so that it doesn't grow too large in his hands.] I could grow groves of these for you.

[There's a long silence as he just... stares. Several emotions seem to be fighting for dominance with nothing really settling in. However, he does make a face not unlike a stray dog or cat sniffing a hand out in an attempt to judge how trustworthy the one offering it is.]

...and what would you want in return?

Two things. First thing, this is non-negotiable. Make a better effort to connect with other beings. I won't monitor you, but I am trusting that you give me your word, you won't break it.

Second, an ally. Like if I call on you for some help, I would like it if you were to give it. Like maybe at some point I would like you to don a disguise a stir up some trouble in Fayren to see how Azula responds. [If she is as bad as Mewtwo says, he would like to know personally.] You are more than welcome to refuse the second part, as I am not going to use you. You could look at it as a partnership, somewhat.

Are these terms agreeable?

[He narrows his eyes suspiciously. This was sounding all too familiar.]

I will think on it. You must understand the last time a human offered a "partnership" he shackled me, used me, and laughed in my face when I mentioned equality.

As for the second part, Azula has already made her intention to hunt me down known.

I'm a mutant. On my world, people hate us because of a genetic difference. That differences gives many of us powers and mutations, not all of us look human. I know about being disliked or hated, hurt or mistreated because of what you are. Mutants have been discriminated against, locked away, experimented on, even murdered because of this difference.

You can believe me in your own time, but know that I don't want to confine or control you. When I say partnership, I mean partnership. Not one has to obey the other.

Hunt you down even thought you haven't done anything yet?

For the moment, I only have your word to go on. You certainly appear human. Given my own history with humans, I am admittedly slow to trust.

[He nods.]

I believe her exact words were that she would "honor my duties of City Guardian, regardless of what people may think of me hunting you down."

[As he slips into the quote, the voice presented through the device changes to mimic that of Azula's.]

Believe me, my life and the lives of people around me would have been easier if I was just human. But take all the time you need.

Well that's definitely ominous. I have to wonder if she would do it personally or if she would employ others to do it.

[He's not going to address the first part simply because he's not sure what to make of it just yet.]

Prior to the elections we had both agreed that in the event of a tie, we would settle the dispute through a battle. Now that she has won, and will most certainly paint me as some great beast, she will want to deal with me personally, cementing her place as a warlord. Sending others could be seen as a form of cowardice on her part.

I'm positive she will come looking for me personally.

Well she is a piece of work. [If what he's saying about her is to be believed and all. And now he's wondering what sort of person Satsuki is to endorse this sort of thing.]

What are her abilities? Just setting people on fire?

As far as I can tell, her abilities are purely fire based, yes. Of course that in itself gives me the edge in any confrontation I may have with her.

That's always good to know. If you are any good with your psychic powers, the battle shouldn't last long. [That was if that is all that she has.]

My psychic abilities are but one weapon in my arsenal. I can manipulate virtually any kind of energy available to Pokemon. Someone relying solely on energy based attacks has little hope of standing against me.

I hope it all plays out the way that you are expecting it to.
