Not a date. Not a date. It was ... kind of... a date. Which might be why she was freaking out. Actually she was in a pretty good mood considering ...she'd been making progress with one of her books lately. After considering and discarding several outfits, she finally settled on something a little nicer than what she normally wore. Then it was fussing at Cancer for hair styling until she decided to stick with something simple. She'd already prepared their lunches several days in advance, so now it was just a matter of meeting up with Natsu. Just be cool Lucy! She smoothed out her skirt, trotting off to find her partner. "Natsu..?"

1. How many people here are cursed and/or have powers they don't want?

2. How do you buy a house the first time? Do they have houses that people can buy here? Or rent, maybe.. Either way, the apartment's going to get a little cramped soon.

This Week In Review

Hearts on Fire by Layla H. Filleahn
A relatively new book has hit the market, and while sales are slow, the reviews from those who've read it rave about its engaging characters and equally compelling story centering around two main characters, Katsuo, a reckless and fiery man with a mysterious past searching for his lost memories, and Lucia, an attractive, generous and patient young woman on a quest to follow in the steps of her mother, a famous Dragon Tamer in her own right. Their journey together is a trial in the bonds of trust, friendship, and unspoken love.
If there was anything other readers have complained about, is the unresolved tension between the two. The author, Miss Layla, wouldn't speak much on the relationship between her characters, but she did say she was already in the middle of the sequel, Taming the Dragon and has promised that not only will there be more action, but there will be a definitive resolution between the two 'friends' that shouldn't disappoint.

Hearts on Fire will be on sale in all bookstores across Nova City and Genessia City Friday, July 4th until Monday July 7th.

Gaming Tournament
A gaming tournament is being held in Nova City, featuring numerous three dimensional and virtual reality arcade games. The Omega Arcades have decreed that the tournament will be held for twenty four hours straight, and anyone can enter (with parent's permission for those under sixteen). However they won't answer what the grand prize is going to be, only that the top winners will receive a cash prize and a the highest scorer will win a special additinon prize.

My grandfather went into some old ruins to find a mystical artifact, and he's been gone longer than he should be. I'd like someone to go and find him and bring him back. If he's dead, I at least want some closure - if he's alive, please make sure he stays that way. You can have whatever artifact he found in there - he was going to sell it anyway.

[Another day, another new arrival. Non-human arrivals were probably not all that rare, and it seemed another one was finding themselves waking up out in a pod. She sits upright, stretching as if raising from a comfortable sleep, only to discover that she hadn't woken up where she'd settled down for the evening. Silently, the woman goes over her pamphlet. Genessia, hm? That's an odd name for a city. It was hardly the first time she'd gone to a much different place from her home, though the last time it had been by choice. After gathering as much info as she could on her own, she steps out the pod. There's a swirl of leaves around here, and when they vanish her animal features are hidden from sight. She looks like nothing more then a human woman wearing a undecorated kimono. The only hint of her nature is the leaf-shaped ornament she wears in her hair, but it was hardly a give away to someone that didn't already know her! Thus disguised, she addresses the citizens of what is apparently her new home.]

What an interesting little city you all have here. I did not have any intention of finding myself here, but I rather imagine the same could be said for every last one of you.

[She doesn't seem overly bothered by the whole thing, addressing complete strangers as if she had known them her own life.]

I suppose I should introduce myself. You may call me Mamizou. I do hope this place is as interesting as it seems. If I am to be taken away from my familiar life, I should hope it is not to be dropped into the middle of something boring. So, if one of you could be a darling little thing and educate a lady more then this little leaflet did, I would be quite grateful.
