[David’s device starts up and he’s holding it with telekinesis. He’s standing in a big empty silver room.]
So, in my world there is a group of mutants like myself called the X-Men. It’s a team put together by my old man. They are kind of superheros, at least they were. [But he waves that off, he’s not going into all of that.]
They’ve got this place where they often train, it’s a place called the Danger Room. I decided to take the idea and turn it into a small business here. [ It gave him something to do to past the time, at least. And it took a bit to gather what he needed to make this room a reality. His device rotates around and shows the room.]
Just looks like an ordinary room, right? [David snaps his finger and the room changes to resemble a battle ravaged city, buildings destroyed and on fire, some crumbling and toppling over, gun fire off in the distance. All looks and sounds very real.]
The room can be programed to assume the appearance of..well, anything. [He snaps again and it changes to an open field on a bright sunny day.]
But like I said, they train in it. It wouldn’t be much of a training room if all it did was change the way it looks. [He snaps again and a giant fire breathing monster appears. It may or may not have black hair in a little bun and a crown. It roars at David and swings at him, but he snaps again and it changes into a little pink fire breathing pony, that also still has black hair and a crown. It charges at him before he snaps and makes it disappear.]
This room can cater to whatever scenario you might have in mind. Keep in mind that it can actually kill you should you choose some sort of combat scenario.
