[ As the sun begins to set on this day, Alisaie decides to finally take the plunge and make a call to introduce herself. It's only proper now that she's been here for a little over a week and she has a better head on her shoulders than when she first arrived. The newspaper from a few days ago gave her a better impression of this place than anything a civilian would have told her. Their so-called guardians brought down isn't easy to swallow but it does inform her the dangers in this world.

Which is why she's kept her head down low. Even now, when she intends to introduce herself she has her white hair fallen over her eyes.

Isn't this sight a bit familiar though or is it a fleeting moment of dΓ©jΓ  vu? The only difference that can be seen from her current posture is the difference in clothes. Even the flush tint to her lips is pale, having grown homesick in her time apart from Eorzea. She frets a little, not knowing of the happenings going on and more importantly being unable to check in on her brother from the safe distance of having to not interact with him.
]

Good evening to all who answer my call at this bell. [ Properly spoken under her breath, though she doesn't bother to speak up so good luck understanding the murmuring. ] I am a scholar from the nation of Sharlayan although here I have been working as a shop clerk for Aster Technologies in Nova City. Having been here for a week and four suns approximately, I have chosen to not sit around lamenting my abduction from my homeland in favor of acquiring more for my new life here.

[ A brief pause, and then in an accusing tone: ] We are stuck here, are we not? If there is a way to return, I will give all of my earnings and whatever else you may seek to know the truth.

Rest assured, I do not mean to give up on the people of this world in turn. [ She just rather focus on the people of her world first. No hard feelings, kay? ] I just cannot devote myself to your cause until I know for certain that our abductions are not cause of punishment.

[ In short, she remains unconvinced that they are prisoners due to their own faults. Alisaie has engaged in questionable things herself and knows her slate to not be as pure as her brother's, so naturally it would make sense she was captured. At the same time, she recalls seeing hundreds of dragons imprisoned against their will so she can't help feeling a bit ill over the situation. ]

... it is foolish to believe we are responsible for this. It happened against our very will, did it not? The ones responsible for this are no better than the Allagan themselves. Have they revealed themselves to us? I would have words with them.

[ Very strong words judging by the fact her tone has picked up a little. She's mad, alright.

also she didn't give a name. What a great introduction. At least she told people where they could find her!!

Maribelle

[When the feed clicks on Maribelle is seated at a simple booth, her umbrella resting next to her on the booth, and her free hand holding a cup of steaming tea.]

Hello my fellow kidnap victims, I am Maribelle.

[She sip her tea rather daintily before sitting it down and looking directly into the device.]

I won't mince words, or lament my current situation because there isn't really much to discuss. I'm a noblewoman of Ylisse, and I intend to look into the current state of the justice system of our new home. With so many people brought here from so many different realms I expect there might be a constant state of anarchy if not for rather strict law enforcement. Since I didn't see brawling in the streets and this city seems to be in relatively good spirits, I have to assume someone is doing their job rather well. I'd like to help if I can, but I suppose I'll need a bit more information before a jump headlong into any promises I can't keep.

[She sighs, and places her tea cup down on its saucer.]

I've read these instructions I've been started with, and they were decently comprehensive. I'd like to extend my gratitude to miss Weiss if she's still here, and I would be willing to accept recommendations on which districts of this city have the finest accommodations. I may not have been started with much in the way of funds, but I suspect with my natural talents and well breeding it shan't take me long to recoup my losses. If there are any members of the shepherds here, or the Ylisstan courts, I'd ask that they please contact me as soon as possible.

[She seems to hesitate for a moment or two before raising her hand to cover her face, a slightly pained look coming over her.]

I suppose that I should also mention that if there are any who remember me as a ship Captain may also feel free to contact me, though in truth I think I'd rather put that part of my life behind me.

[With a touch, Maribelle turns off her device and leans back in her booth. Not actually slouching because a noblewoman of Ylisse never slouches! For those of you who might be at the Cat's Eye Cafe, you may run into Maribelle mulling her situation over in a booth in the back, pondering over what she plans to do with her new life here.]

Marco the Phoenix

[A: Video: Well now, he has to taunt everyone, but just how to do it...]

Seems like everything is getting a little interesting again, eh?

And for all those who don't find it so, check out the After Life Nightclub for all your nighttime and clandestine adult needs.

[Holds up a finger.] Except prostitution. Because my wife will kill you. And I'm not kidding.

[B: Library: Marco has always been a little bit of a bookworm, despite what some of his family might realize or think, but he's still boring his way through tomes and volumes, trying to study and glean all the universe's knowledge at once and comparing maps to try to put together a compilation. There's a good fifteen books stacked to his left, and rather than bother with ballpoint pens, he's using a quill to make his varying notes, please don't spill his ink.]

[C: Later at the Nightclub: He's hanging out near the bouncer, reading a book. In a nightclub. He also may or may not be sporting glasses frames that have no lens. Because he's a giant freaking dork from hell. But no, he's totally on the job. Totally.]

[D: Dungeons: You know what is the worst place ever to try to fly and fight? A dungeon. Why is he in the ruins again? "Training?" This was a bad idea. There's a blue phoenix kicking skeletons and bugbears and occasionally swearing loudly in squawks. He misses fighting at the Garden.]

[E: Private for Espio:]

Kiddo, we need to talk.

          VIDEO.
( as soon as that introductory message pops up, recognition immediately sets, and neo is furious. she doesn't wait for the image of weiss schnee to even get more than a few words out before the device gets thrown to the ground, snapping it out of the tutorial and focusing on the multi-coloured girl it seems to belong to.

looking over and down on top of it with a glare, there's only a second more before a heel comes down onto the screen, intending to smash it, if she can manage it... )

          FAYREN. ( action )
( so the basic understanding of it was that she was trapped here... and with no sign of roman or cinder, she seemed to be left to her own devices. it could be worse, really, she could be off flying out into the wild blue yonder...

neopolitan scrunched up her nose as the passed through the fish markets, thoroughly unimpressed with the smells that were invading her nostrils and made her way to what almost seemed like familiar territory stopping when she actually recognized some of the landmarks.

was this... vale? )
