A question.

Regarding subgates, specifically.

What is the nature of the thing you must give up to open one? What would one rate its scale of necessary importance?

Must it be non-tangible? An ability or a memory?

Or may it be physical?

[He's got a few physical things he wouldn't mind tossing for the ability to have his heckin' house. Call him spoiled, but he's grown to really like living inside a house.]

I have a preference for what kind of loss it must be. I have no interest in losing anything I find necessary.

[Chiaki currently was adjusting the feed, most of her face was in view and there wasn't much of a background to notice. After a moment or two, she found herself backing out, showing off an inside of a building that seemed to be currently under construction, or at least there were sheets everywhere and a lot of paint.]

I decided to try a new venture with my work. Though I guess it is still video game related, so I am in keeping with my talent, but at the same time, it is still something different. [She coughs slightly as work was going on, mostly painting but there was sounds of drills and saws among other things.]

I am planning on opening a combination of an arcade and a Pokemon gym for Pokemon to train with one another called Level Up!. [She seemed to brighten up a bit when she was talking.] There will be cames with Pokemon to be able to play to at the arcade section and our selection of games will change every month.

[She had a reason for that one, which she isn't making that obvious yet.]

I hope you are able to join me on the 16th of June when the Grand Opening will be happening in Nova City.

[She gives a small polite bow.]

I've got some ideas for Cake Town, so I thought we might have a quick meeting after we close tonight. I think we're ready to start growing, so I might have some new job opportunities that you guys should have first choice of taking if you want them!

[Orihime appears, looking as cheerful as she normally does, and bows politely in greeting before rising with her hands clasped in front of her chest.]

I saw that a lot of people are looking for jobs, so I just wanted to let people know that Cake Town is always hiring! If you want to bake, or cater, or be a bouncer, we can definitely find a place for you to fit in!

[Did she say 'a bouncer'? She hasn't batted a lash, so she might be serious. Or maybe she thinks she's being funny again. Who can tell?]

Even if you only work for a month until you can open up your own business, we don't mind at all. It's a fun place to work, and you get to take home the things we didn't sell that day, so that's a fun bonus, ne?

[She beams. Free donuts is a pretty good perk in her opinion.]

Just let me know! We're pretty informal, honestly. And if you'd rather be a customer, we've got a new summer menu lined up that we're very excited about. Please give it a try!

[The video feed opens on a blurry face which comes gradually into focus to reveal a generous dusting of freckles and bright, albeit troubled-looking, green eyes. The camera is pulled away until it also shows a thick tumble of blonde curls, a handful of which is pushed back with a sigh before their owner eventually speaks.]

So I've been... "Kidnapped." [She glances around at the city surrounding her before continuing, gesticulating loosely with the bundle of papers she's gripping in the hand not currently holding her new "phone."] I can understand that much just fine. What confuses me is why a kidnapper would then assign me my own quarters, some sort of stipend, and... Well, just leave me to my own devices.

[It doesn't seem a terribly effective means of controlling one's captives. That being said, however... Maybe the captors here don't necessarily know what they've gotten themselves into. It's worth keeping in mind, at least until she can get her bearings. The blonde walks as she talks, settling into an easy step that seems more exploratory than anything else; it's not as though she's in a hurry, after all.]

...Apparently, I'm expected to seek both lodgings and employment, and I've been advised that this is the best means of doing so. [Not one to beat around the bush, this one; she seems determined to get the proverbial ball rolling.] If anyone has any advice on the subject, I'd be very grateful. I may not have a wide variety of skills at my disposal just yet, but I promise that I'm a quick study.

[Finally daring to cast a brief, helpless sort of smile at her phone's camera, she shrugs before ending the feed. Maybe someone will help, or maybe not-- But at least she can say that she tried.]
