Of all the cities attached to Genessia, Fayren is the closest to my homeworld. Yes, the technology of Nova City is closer to what I'm used to, but the nature here is far more peaceful.

[She turns her gaze to the comm, resting her chin on a cupped palm.]

What worlds has everyone else here been to? Would you be willing to talk to me about them?


[She taps a button after that and makes the next part private to one Anakin Skywalker.]

I've been thinking. We haven't spent enough time together here. So I put together a lunch for us.

[She grins slightly and she teases him.] I found a nice spot far enough from the beaches, you won't need to worry about sand getting everywhere.

OooooOOOoooo! Behold! I am speaking to you from beyond the graaaaave!

[Pause for impact. Then, she giggles. Joke that that may have been, she does seem to be a bit transparent.]



Say, this is fun! I'll never stop being surprised at what kind of tricks people have come up with. Can people really see this? Actually, am I even using it right? Should I be talking louder-- oh!

[She forgot that she was supposed to be introducing herself.]

Hello there! My name is Ivy! I'm dead! If you see a doll walking about anywhere, that's probably me, so don't throw it away or anything. It's my vessel, so if it ends up in the garbage, I'll be stuck there for heaven knows how long!

[ It's probably not unusual for newbies to pop up on the network to introduce themselves, so the young woman in the video, clutching her box of supplies, probably doesn't look too out of place. Newbie is definitely apt -- if you squint behind her while she's talking, it doesn't look like she's wandered too far away from the Bay yet. When she realizes that she is indeed broadcasting, she sort of fumbles for a moment, looking a bit... harrassed? But then finally, she just sighs and gives a slightly stilted smile. ]

Hello...? You'll have to excuse me, I'm not exactly sure how to start this off. I'm a new arrival and I've just heard what Schnee-san's hologram had to say, so I thought it might not be a bad idea to introduce myself.

My name is Yuuri Wakasa. Mostly, I'm hoping to find anyone else who knows me who might have arrived first. [ She pauses for a moment like she's trying to decide exactly who she should be asking for before deciding on: ] Yuki Takeya, Kurumi Ebisuzawa, Miki Naoki or Kei Shidou – if there's anyone here by any of those names, please let me know. Oh – I'd... hope it's not very likely, but if there's a young girl here going by Haruna Wakasa then please get in touch with me as soon as possible.

[ She's doing a pretty good job at pretending she's calm, given that she feels like she's halfway to a panic attack, but the way she's fidgeting with the pendant at her neck might give her away a bit. But that's perfectly normal for a newbie, right? Why wouldn't she be nervous? ]

I also know we're supposed to get ourselves work as soon as we can, so I thought I'd ask – what sort of work is available right now? It looks like I'll be living in Fayren for the time being so that's where I'll be looking first. I'm very good at gardening and cooking, but I'm happy to try anything that needs doing.

[Alice learned from watching the others, as Sophie screwed up the video, and has checked out the network enough to see it's not exactly uncommon to screw up at first. This weird technology might be unfamiliar to her, but she can learn by observation, and so when she sends out a video message herself, she's very calm, having figured it out.]

Good afternoon. My name is Alice Kozakura, and I have arrived here with my friends Sophie Summerhelm, Marie Cooper, and Aran Voliere. However, we are still missing some of our companions- Lulu, Celadon, and Valencia. It, ah... Well, their surnames are not necessarily relevant. They will be quite easy to identify, even without them. I am given to understand that searching for your separated companions by means of this device is the norm here.

Also, I am told that we must seek employment here. However, I am a doctor at home, skilled in the treatment of wounds and ills. I find it doubtful that those here would trust a physician they have no knowledge of their training or skills, and so I must ask instead. Need I obtain a license of some sort? Else, what may I do to continue my duties here?

[She lowers her head in a slight bow to the camera.]

[The girl that pops up appears to be about 16, and aside from her red eyes, as she speaks sharp teeth can be seen.]

Truly this is a most perplexing situation, to be snatched away to where one cannot feel the Goddess, to a place full of soulless abominations. Nevertheless, they seemed not hostile at all and there was no trace of the Empty Ones in them, so I restrained from slaughtering every one I saw and letting the rivers of blood flow. I would appreciate it if someone informed me whether this restraint was wise or not.

Truly I do not know what to do or say. This is truly the strangest situation I have found myself in. I do not know what dangers I should be wary of, what customs I should heed, even what role there is for me here. I would look to the Goddess for inspiration, but here she is silent.

[ It seems like today is basically newbie central because there's another puzzled looking girl on the network today. Except... she doesn't really seem to realize that she is, in fact, on the network? The video feed just shows her face (thankfully not from too unflattering an angle) with an expression of total confusion as she visibly fiddles with the phone. But then she catches on that she is in fact recording and after a short – ]

[ – of surprise, the feed goes dead. Uh...

Not too long afterwards, another message pops up, apparently from the same user. It's, thankfully, less of a disaster than the (apparently accidental) video message. ]

Hello and well met! I'm very pleased to be introducing myself to all of you. Please forgive me for sending a letter in lieu of a personal introduction. But from what I understand, everyone will be able to see this message!

My name is Sophie Summerhelm and I'm a new arrival here in the city. I'm a traveling alchemist hailing from Adelheld and I hope to be able to put my skills to use in helping everyone should any trouble come up! If possible, I would like to ask if there are any schools or institutes already studying alchemy here or if there is anyone I should contact.
