necklaces are all trouble with not enough hands
WHO: Cheshire Cat and OPEN
WHAT: Arriving and figuring things out
WHEN: November 7th
WHERE: Outside the Bay and wandering
WARNINGS: 4th walling, most likely touching
READ ME it said. Cheshire chuckled when he read the screaming letters, and considered not reading whatever it was that wanted to be read. But he's in a new story now, isn't he? He should at least get familiar with the setting.
He had expected to wander back into Wonderland after saying his farewells to Shii-chan, Fiery-chan and San-chan but it seemed the Dream Gate had other plans.
He fingered the little bottle hanging in a thin chain around his neck, ascertaining that it really had happened. Or maybe he was still dreaming. But the bottled miracle he received from the female god was still where he remembered and the leather of his collar was familiarly pressing against his neck. He removed it, but it turned out that it had lost the ability to turn into a communication device. Well, that was alright. He doubted he could contact anyone he met in Somarium any more. It felt a little sad.
But dwelling was no good! You might get devoured if you did and Cheshire couldn't afford to disappear just yet, because he still had a role to play in the game.
He put the collar back on with some trouble (only having one hand could be so troublesome) but then he finally managed. It was worse with this new necklace, though. He frowned lightly at the golden thing with blue tinted details.
"Now how do I put you on, I wonder."
Seems he's got a problem.

Once they found a house they liked, anyway. That part was going to be tough, finding a place that met all of their demands (especially Weiss's). She sipped from the cup, not minding the cold at all as she strolled along in her usual shorts and boots, wild blonde hair swaying with her steps.
That was when she passed the Bay and spotted what appeared to be a one-armed Faunus fumbling with a necklace. Yikes, that couldn't be easy.
"Need some help?" she offered, changing directions to approach the newcomer.

Cheshire chuckled, a little bit of an awkward expression on his face, but it's half deliberate, and half honest. He wasn't used to people offering to be helpful so soon (or at all)--sure, they had been in Somarium (except the detective who played his violin as painfully as possible) but it was the opposite in Wonderland.
Then he smiled. "That would be very nice of you, miss."

So far, at least, there had been no real leads but her stubbornness kept her going to explore just in case there might be an off chance of something out of the blue that could help solve at least a fraction of the mystery as to they were all suddenly taken from their homes to this odd place.
When she spotted him, she halted dead in her tracks. It wasn't uncommon for Faunus' to share the same traits but she had never really encountered another Cat that she could remember. The bow atop her head gave the smallest of twitches that hid her ears, curiosity suddenly piquing. ]
Are you alright?
Did you just arrive?
no subject
I am alright, yes. Thank you. And it would seem I just wandered in here. Or did I perhaps fall down a hole in the ground? I don't remember stepping up to any trees recently, though.

It's a little disorientating at first. The pamphlets and papers that you were given should help explain some of it- though it might not be much help, I'm sorry.
[Gold eyes scanned up to his ears again before looking back down at his face.] Where-... where are you from, if I might ask?
no subject
I must read them over more properly later, then. I just skimmed what I found before.
[ He ignores how her gaze keeps going up to his ears. ] Of course. I'm from Wonderland, although I had stepped out a little and was just making my way back.

[She felt a little guilty staring so openly and Blake knew she would of hated it if someone continued staring at her own if she ever removed her bow long enough to show them.
Wonderland... Thinking back on it,she was certain she had seen a book by that title somewhere in the library and mentally she would remember to look further in to it.
Shaking her head, she cleared her throat.]I admit I haven't heard of such place save for the possibility of a book.
[After another moment, she rubs her cheek shyly.] I- forgive me for staring...It's rude of me.
no subject
Ah, but she's heard of their story? Oh, wonderful! ] Then you at least know our title, perhaps? The books are quite interesting, if I may say so myself.
[ He chuckles. ] Oh no, not at all. I don't mind it.
no subject
Somewhat. I found it in a library here while organizing the books. I will have to make a note to read it.
[Raising up a hand, she hesitated a moment, lingering her fingertips along the ends of her bow on her head. She was just a little nervous; such exposure in her world would mean being subjected to discrimination, hate, mockery, all of which she's been damaged with before.
But how often does one get to meet another cat-eared individual?
Carefully, she tugged her bow off until the ribbon fell in her hands, showing black cat ears of her own that perked atop her head with an occasional twitch.] I just- never met anyone else really, with the same physical trait as myself.

[ And it is the backstory to the story that he innocently manipulates from the shadows. Not that he had anything to do with it--it all had to do with the White Rabbit, after all.
He's honestly surprised at meeting another person with cat traits, though. He is the only Cheshire Cat that Wonderland has ever had, and sure, there might be another, but not until after he's dead, and he has too many plans for that. ]
My word. [ He steps closer, taking what steps there were between them in one, simply appearing in front of her. ] I have never met anyone with similar ears either. [ He takes one of her hands in his only hand. ] I'm intrigued.

As she stretched up she looked over slightly and spotted what appeared to be a newcomer, or someone she never noticed before... after this this city was rather big one couldn't possibly see everyone.
"Ah, hello there. Do you need some help?"
no subject
For a person who just found themselves in a new world, he's not very worried. Concerned, sure, a little bit, but he's experienced this before, so it's no big deal. Even if he should get back to Wonderland and make sure the Game proceeded.
"Hello~" He moves, but without actually walking, and appears closer to her. "I'm not sure, it would be good if I could manage on my own, but it's not the easiest without the experience."

Yuuki went to take off her necklace, she didn't think it was that hard honestly to put on and off once you attach the chain together. "It's not too difficult, but I guess if the chain isn't attached when you first arrive I can see how that could be an annoyence."
no subject
"It's not that much of an annoyance" just a little bit, "as much as bothersome. I would like to have my hand free, after all, and with this" the necklace "my hand is quite occupied." He completely ignores that he has pockets and could put them there, but for one, he folded the papers and put them in the pockets, and second, it appeared it was better to actually wear the thing, rather than to simply carrying it with him.

"So once your necklace is on do you want someone to show you around?"
no subject
"I'm sure I will be looking around everywhere a lot, but a basic run-through would be wonderful."

However she soon stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the other. From the back she wondered if they were a girl or not due to the long hair, so making her way over she smiled cheerfully.
"Hello~! I'm Minako Aino and I'll be helping you today, buddy."
no subject
He looked over his shoulder, still trying out figure out how the necklace worked.
"Oh? Really? Mow nice of you, Minako-chan."
no subject
"Are you having problems with that necklace? you should since it doesn't do much except let you go to other cities"
no subject
"It's a bit tricky in this state."
no subject
Well she at least knew how to put on the necklace, now that wouldn't be too hard. "Will you let me have the necklace so I can put it on for you then?"
