[When Ty Lee went to sleep last night, she expected to wake up in the same jail cell she was left in. Waking up in some sort of cocoon in a completely different setting definitely confused her. Once she was awake, she didn't waste any time in trying to figure out what was going on. With the necklace under her shirt, she had the the packet under her arm after reading what she could before trying to use the communicator.]

How do you-- Oh! It's on!

So uhm... This probably sounds like a stupid question at this point, but... Am I dreaming right now?

I get that we're in some strange new place from what I've found out so far, but it seems unlikely that I would be free to do as I wish considering what happened at home.

[She's not even elaborating on that because that seems like a bad idea right now.]

[She can understand why this girl wouldn't know, but why was Zuko acting like this? And was this something that someone like her needed to hear when it was sort of personal? Well, whatever.]

Uhm well... Azula was going to attack Mai for saving Zuko and his friends. I know I shouldn't have but I... When I saw the two of them getting ready to fight each other... I sort of panicked...

[A deep sigh, mixed in with her obvious worry.]

I chi blocked Azula so that she wouldn't hurt Mai. By the time I could snap Mai out of her daze, we were too late in order to get out of there in time.

The last thing I remember is being stuck in that jail cell...

So... you should probably know that time flows differently here, so I doubt Azula remembers that, and unless Zuko was lying to me about the last time he saw anything regarding Mai, I would be willing to make the assumption that your memories go further than his.

[ At least given the information that Weiss knows, Azula attacking Zuko and his friends means that she would have to remember Zuko's betrayal and they wouldn't be in the present situation right now. That seems to be the chronological order right now. Weiss looks to Zuko. She's not going to ask if she's right, she's just going to look at him expectantly to agree with her. ]

[ zuko was just about to interject and tell ty lee that something like that never happened, but weiss spoke up first, reminding him of how out of sync time was with itself in this place. it was a difficult concept, one he still grappled with at times, even though there was plenty enough evidence of it for him in his own sister's lack of a recollection of his betrayal and defection to the avatar's side. it was something he was eternally grateful for, yet often forgot existed. ]

Weiss is right. Time moves... It doesn't always move together, like rivers from the same lake flowing in opposite directions. Same water, different courses. [ hopefully that made some sense. ] Whatever happened... That hasn't happened for me yet, and it might not. [ because hey, there were some people here who were from the same worlds, but remembered things from those worlds very differently than how they happened for someone else. it was all very complicated. ]

Azula doesn't know what happened on the Day of Black Sun. That's the last thing she remembers. As far as she's concerned, you're her friend and we're both still loyal to her. [ he gives her a very pointed look. ] Do you get what I'm saying?

What? But...

[The last time she saw Zuko was when he was on the gondala. But she can't argue that this isn't possible. If they've been here for long enough time, than they were likely to know more.]

How is that possible?

[Wait... Azula didn't remember the Day of Black Sun? That was something that was important to remember, so if that was the case, maybe she could still get away with... 'it never happened'? That look and his next words... She did get what he was saying.]

Yes, I understand.

[She does feel a little better knowing that Azula didn't remember the Boiling Rock. She betrayed her best friend to save her other best friend... Even though she didn't regret saving Mai, she did feel bad that it had to happen the way it did. She could still act like it never happened, but what did that mean for her now?

She's always admired Azula for a few reasons, but over time it became more out of fear than friendship. With her finally stepping up to her the way she did, was she ready to fall back into that fear?]

[ Weiss lost track exactly what Zuko was talking about when he started talking about the Day of the Black Sun, but she got the gist of it. At least enough to not be completely lost about the conversation, even if she didn't know the exact details.

But Weiss didn't exactly know the answer to "How" the times were different.. ]

We're all from different worlds and time freezes back home when we're there. Or possibly we're all from the future and just don't remember, I haven't quite figured that part out yet considering we can go to the Dream Docks to gain more memories to a certain point- but that's not the important part. Time won't pass while we're here back home, so the memories that we all have now are fine. We just need to not let Azula ever go to the Dream Docks and we can all go about not having an active war on our hands.

[ She says "we" in this considering she is basically an accomplice despite not even being from their world. ]

She has no interest in the Dream Docks, as far as I know.

[ but weiss is right: they need to keep azula away from the docks. knowing would do her no good, and he doesn't want her to have to deal with the knowledge of their betrayals and her subsequent abandonment. it was one thing to hurt his sister as a casualty of war doing what had to be done, it was another to make her suffer in a place where the war didn't exist and his sister was seemingly going down a better, different path than the one she was destined for back home. ]

Ty Lee, you have to pretend like everything's okay. You're her friend — be it. She can't know that I betrayed Father or that I'm training the Avatar. There's no reason for her to. Not here. Our problems don't matter when this world has problems of its own.

[Ty Lee wasn't against what he was saying. Seeing how Azula reacted once everything had happened made it clear that Azula didn't want to see either of them ever again. Or so she said. She still cared for her, she was just uncertain how to feel.

As if a light switch flipped on, she tried her best to erase the sad worried look on her face with a faint smile.]

Of course. I don't really want to see what would happen if she saw me again if she did remember. I would much rather pretend that nothing was wrong.

But that does raise questions... What are the problems here currently?

[Besides, Zuko was her friend too. Once she saw that the gondola was going to be cut, she did worry for him and his friends. What could she do while doing Azula's wishes though? It wasn't until Mai made the first move that she found the courage to back her up.

She wanted to help him too, and if that meant keeping the secret for his sake as well, she could do that.]

Criminals from my world, a huge portion of the city turned to cheese for a little while, the Blue Spirit. [ She doesn't know how honest Zuko wants to be about that so she's still going to list him. ] Someone I'm trying to keep an eye on considering his interest in sparking up problems that don't belong here. I haven't heard anything from Lucifer recently but I'm not counting on him being gone. Any of the bounties that pop up in the newspaper. The newspaper boy if you count crimes against windows, people who don't know how to use doors, petty crime..

[ Weiss is just counting on her fingers as she lists things off. ]

[ zuko's nodding in agreement as weiss lists things off, until she gets to the not knowing how to use doors part. ]

Is that a crack at me still coming in through your window?

[ he knows he needs to come clean and tell ty lee that weiss is his girlfriend, but he doesn't want to do another round of "what about mai?" ]

Yikes. Sorry I asked.

[And the way that he talks... Well, she has been wondering what Weiss was to Zuko since he didn't seem to fidget with her being so close. That and he was in a girls' room; unless he suddenly changed style ascetic. And he seemed so familiar with talking to her.]

You sound like you're talking from experience.

[ That's a yes attached to a pointed look that reads as 'you'd better dust it this time.' ]

Plenty of experience. We've both been here a while.

[ but as whooped as he doesn't realize he (but likely very obviously is), zuko hands his device to weiss and slides off the bed to go take care of her precious windowsill. ]

[And with Zuko off doing his thing... She can't help but whisper to Weiss.]

Hey, so is there something going on between you two or something?

[She has a feeling.]

[ Oh boy. Waiting until Zuko is out of earshot to ask that? Bold move Ty Lee. Weiss glances over at Zuko's back for a brief moment, then nods at the video. ]

He's my boyfriend. [ Oh right. Mai. Azula got really mad about it, Weiss figures she might as well say something quietly before Zuko gets back from the window. ] You should know that it's been 6 months since he arrived in this place, so it isn't like he just got here and hooked up with someone besides your friend right away. And I am aware of that situation, so I know it might seem a little awkward but I love him so I'm not going to back off.

[She had a feeling. She was a little surprised to hear this, but really... From what she's gathered so far? It didn't seem too strange. Sure it was a little weird that her best friend's boyfriend was dating someone else here, but six months was a long time. Things happened.

Folding her arms to her chest -- not as a way to show that she was against this -- but more as a gesture to think the situation over, she was silent for a moment. Keeping her voice down just for Weiss.]

I see.

I'm not going to tell you to back off. I'll be honest... It's a little weird, but in the end what matters is his happiness and yours too for that matter.

I just hope that Mai doesn't come here too for her sake. I can't imagine how she'd react to this...

[Actually, Ty Lee knows how she would. That still made her feel bad to think of Mai came here and found out about it. Of course, Mai never really showed emotions or shared her thoughts much, but Ty Lee knew her well enough to know.]

I know it probably isn't easy, particularly since I remember when we had to tell Azula before she came around.

[ With a picnic basket, even. That was a thing alright. ]

So... thanks. For understanding and for asking me directly instead of guilt-tripping Zuko on accident later.

Of course. I mean... I would have just asked Zuko directly if anything, but I figured since the opportunity was there, I should take it.

Azula is hard to deal with sometimes. [More like most of the time.] I've known her since I was a little kid, so I've gotten used to how she acts.

I don't think she's that bad, actually. Once she was okay with it she took me out for a picnic. At 7am, which was a little strange, but it's the thought that counts. I mean, I know what she's capable of so I'm not completely disillusioned and I don't know her as well as you do, but I get along with her just fine.

[ Weiss glances up at Zuko briefly. Takin' your time with the window over there? Well, might as well keep talking. ]

No, she's not always bad. That does sound like something she'd do though. There have been a few times where I had to give her some pointers. Let's just say hitting on guys without scaring them off didn't work so well.

[But despite what was just said, she does laugh a little. Clearly -- besides Azula yelling at her -- it was a good memory.]

Well, I mostly block chi. I kind of ran away from home to join the circus before Azula came to ask for my help.

I definitely want to see that one day.

[ At least Ty Lee seems friendly and easy enough to get along with. Then again, Weiss is fairly certain she's been good for her own part. ]

That's what Zuko meant? I thought it was more metaphorical, like how he calls me a tyrant just because I'm a... little bossy sometimes. [ Only a little. ] I don't actually rule over anything, I'm just the boss of him. [ Though she's pretty sure that he lets her be. ]

Well.. I guess being called a circus freak isn't exactly what I'd like, but I take pride in it regardless. I didn't really have my own identity back home, so I felt like there had to be something I could do.

Besides, in the end, it just makes me all the better.

[Trying to find a way to prop the communicator... Once it's staying, Ty Lee demonstrated as she bent back into what should be an impossible position.]

[ oh, zuko knows they're chatting. he's cleaned off the windowsill and is leaning back against the wall, watching but not quite listening in to their conversation. he'd be lying if he said he trusted ty lee, because he doesn't. not fully. the girls have always been loyal to azula first and foremost, and he's honestly having a hard time coming to terms with the knowledge that they betrayed the princess, whether it was to help him or not. maybe he would understand it better if he actually remembered whatever happened at the boiling rock, but isn't about to go down to the docks to dream of things he probably doesn't want to know.

was he arrested? did aang get captured somehow? what business did he even have at the highest security prison in the fire nation? he had so many questions, but no desire to go searching for answers. ]

Talking about me? [ he asks, stepping back into view beside weiss. he sits down next to her, not bothering to reclaim his communicator. ]

Talking about your terrible nicknaming sense, specifically.

[ Weiss considers for a moment, having something very pointed to say to him regarding flexibility, but it's something she'll reserve for later. ]

Zuko, stop calling her circus freak for your own sake. I think flexibility and going after what you want is important, Ty Lee.

[Shifting herself, she slightly shrugged as her feet touched the top of her head.]

It's okay. I appreciate it though.

[After a moment of doing handstands, she flipped back onto her feet to get the communicator again.]

So, all this being said... Where am I supposed to go from here?
