Video; Genessia City, close to the Bay

[The video starts with a blonde teenage girl close to the screen. In the beginning, only her face is present, but she pulls it back once she realizes it's working. It was surprisingly easy, even if it looks nothing like her own phone.]

Do you really think you can kidnap someone like me?! Papa is going to be looking, and when he finds me, anybody who helped is going to punished!

[She tries to make herself commanding, strong, but her voice wavers and moisture collects at the corner of her eyes. Sena's afraid, horribly so, and she's not really sure what to do. Who had taken her? Some pervert? Someone after money? Did they think what little they had given her would keep her quiet?! No, she was Kashiwazaki Sena, and she was going to...

...do something.]

I might be generous, but even someone like me has limits. If you help me get home now, I'll make sure the punishment isn't as bad.

[The video ends just as the haughty words do, the last syllable punctuated by what sounds like a real sob.]

Action; Genessia City

[Those who see Sena early on sees the weakest, most vulnerable part as she works to deal with being away from everything she knows. Despite her reputation in school, she's never had any real responsibility, any need for independence. It was almost time for her to go to University, it would have happened anyway, but not like this, not without resources or any familiar faces.

She's not prepared. It's hard to move very far from the Bay, to enter the new city all alone. For the first few hours, that's where she waits, sitting, holding the device to her chest as she hopes for help.If she moved, she worried she would be impossible to find in such a larger city.

As the day progresses so does her thinking. Instead of broken, she becomes a bit proactive. Maybe, with so many people around her, someone will rescue her if she just asks. So, Sena will approach, she'll do her best to keep her pride, but ultimately she wants some form of direction.

When that plan fails, when she's still in Genessia come nightfall, the walking is more directionless. Despite it only being a day, and not yet a full one, desperation has set in. Despite what the pamphlet said, Sena doesn't want to live in the city, she doesn't want to be part of this place. She has her own home, family, school, fr-- a club.]

ANON MEME

Let's all have a big chat anonymously. That way we can all be honest (or honestly have fun) and not have to worry about what anyone else thinks. :D Here are the rules:
    1. Only reply with anonymous text! If you say something logged in, I'll freeze the thread and put a bounty on your head for ruining everyone's fun.

    2. Put thread topics in the subject line. Don't get off topic, if you want to talk about something else start a new thread. I'll throw a few discussion topics up, but you can feel free to bring up your own, namedrop people to talk about them, whatever you want.

    3. If you bring up personal problems don't whine when people give you answers you don't like.
Those are the only rules, get going.

{ OOC NOTE: All replies to this post are automatically considered anonymous unless otherwise stated in the subject line. If you intentionally have your character reply while 'logged in' Emerald really will freeze the thread. Whether she actually does the bounty part depends on how much she really wants to annoy your character. This is essentially an IC anon meme, except it's actually in-game because Emerald is bored and wasting time at work (because she doesn't actually do her job properly). }

[A pair of green eyes blinks at you before the person backs up revealing a wiry teen with snow white hair that anyone from his home district would know right away. He looks a mixture between baffled and amazed.]

I'm not big into LARP campaigns. To be truthful tabletop RPG has always been my thing, but this is really amazing! Someone must have really loved this idea to spend so much time crafting it together.

[He's built gaming backdrops, boards and even character figurines but this place looks like the ultimate role player's dream project come true. You can tell from the video feed that he's walking through the streets of Fayren looking amazed. For a while the feed goes silent because he's too busy nerding out at it all and taking it in.

Finally, he looks back at the camera looking a little more serious and a bit concerned.]

Sorry! I'm still here. I got distracted. [He laughs a little.]

Still, it's troubling that I can't remember how I got here. It's been a while since...[Here he hesitates. He doesn't want to mention the blackouts and memory loss to a bunch of strangers.] Well, you'd think you'd remember that.

Wait. I know Duelist Kingdom was tomorrow. Don't tell me this was part of it! I mean, I get getting in character, but that's going a little too far.

Well, if Pegasus put this together, then maybe not. [Added quietly.]

Action
[This is just him walking around Fayren, so it can be anywhere in this location. Don't be surprised if he treats you like a cosplayer or LARPER, especially since this being spirited away thing seems like something typical of that. It hasn't sunk in for Bakura at this point that any of this is real.

Feel free to inform him of reality/troll him.]

Let's settle this once and for all. Sun Wukong was a thief. However, he is also a good person and has taken that know-how and turned it into a viable business in Fayren and can now support himself with that. He's more mature than he once was even if he's still a dumb teenage boy sometimes and he still needs to apologize to Satsuki Kiryuin for physically pointing a weapon at her at a peaceful gathering as well as drudging up the past about a situation she clearly developed from and worked to improve upon.

Satsuki Kiryuin needs to apologize to Sun for treating him with disrespect regardless of whether it was rooted in his own stupidity at the time or of a discriminatory nature instead of explaining the matter he was mad about like a mature adult. She also needs to apologize to the public for using his accusations- which, by the way, were made without consulting me first and I would've told him to speak to Satsuki privately with a mediator present- to waste the public's time trying to explain how she deserves redemption for her actions but he doesn't, despite that they've both come a long way from the people they once were.

I'd personally like to apologize to everyone who's had to watch either side of this bickering. Vote for who you think would be a better leader and protector of this city, not who can dig up the oldest, most out-of-date information possible about someone who isn't even a candidate.

Now: Does anyone have any questions about what any of the candidates are actually bringing to the table?

{ OOC NOTE: Public response to Sun's post and Satsuki's post, since she's already involved. }

Action: At the Bay

[The faint resonance of an echo reaches Ib's ears waking her from her slumber. Her sword is at her side and her rose mask is positioned over her eyes. A soft sigh leaves her lips before she swings her legs down and into the shallow pool of water. The box that rests next to her tumbles and falls, splashing next to her. Cold eyes look down at the case before picking it up. The memory of red words flash across her thoughts as she does.

Thief Thief Thief

With a soft growl she pushes the though away and pockets the box in her backpack. There is no need to read what's inside, she already knows this world isn't her own. It's then that she notices that it's missing. Her eyes widen and her ruby gaze flicks over at the surrounding area.

Where is it? It had been with her moments before.

In her sudden panic she hadn't noticed the phone that slipped from the box and into the water around her. Her fingers are twitching as if to reach for her sword. Her eyes cast towards the phone and she plucks it from the water with an angry hand. Her steps are quick as she moves from the the water and on to the shore. The hologram gives her pause and her first reaction is to swing her sword which passes effortlessly through it. This isn't like the museum.]

Video

[Brown hair frames her face while a single red eyes peers through a black mask. There is a rose across the right eye making it impossible to see more of her face.]

You will give it back.

[Her voice seethes with anger.]

I know you stole the painting now give him back!

[Ib is almost shouting into the screen now her fingers clenching the small phone. She doesn't know how it fully works just yet, she found the video first but only the painting is in her thoughts.]

Are the bounties worth doing? It seems that once someone claims one other things pop up to be taken care of.

Was wondering. Working at the grocery store really isn't giving me much.

[Lately there has been someone watching the Bay constantly in the afternoon and night. An almost constant if you were paying attention to the streets around the area. The culprit? A small bear, usually hanging around a corner in the shadows.

This has been going on for a few weeks now. The bear usually ignores people passing by. Though, it does raise the question. Why is the bear there instead of a more wild area? It's no bigger than a cub so maybe it's lost. Yet... it doesn't act lost at all. Still, maybe someone should do something about that.

Later in the night, the bear eventually just falls asleep watching the Bay as it often does.]

WHO: Red X, Raven
WHAT: FISC accepts the contract for the mysterious green goop.
WHEN: Sunday, February 22, all day long.
WHERE: All over Nova City.
WARNINGS: N/A, will update this if it changes.

Red X was perfectly suited - no pun intended - to collect a sample of the goop. With the gloves being designed to channel and shield against a highly dangerous (and possibly radioactive) material like enriched xenothium, there was no chance of the goop making contact with his skin, though he'd need to decontaminate it later. Red X knelt down near a pile of it in an alleyway in Nova City, and slipped it into Raven's old Titans communicator to be analyzed; thanks, Cyborg for making that upgrade, what felt like years ago to both of them.

Red X - going under the alias of 'Jack Ulysses' for the purposes of this business - handed the communicator to Raven, ensuring there was no residue left on the device. "What do you think?" he asks, his voice obscured by the mask's electronic modulator. "Doesn't look like any sort of 'truth serum' I've ever seen. Too viscous, and no sane drug company would spill it like this and then refuse to clean it up."

He stood up, wiping his gloves off on the of the paper towels they'd brought, and tossing it into a marked bag that would later be incinerated. "What do we know about that 'private contractor?' What's their stake in this guy?"

Four times as much as the local authorities? That just screamed 'cover-up' to him. Still, this was Red X - he and Raven may have been together for almost three years, dating back as many worlds they'd been to together not counting their own, but he still made no illusions that he saw himself as any sort of hero. That was why they chose this line of work, after all. Raven could continue to fight crime, and Red X was in it for the money. He didn't have to pretend to be something he wasn't. After all, Raven wouldn't have wanted him to do that, anyway.

"That's a lot of money for discretion. I bet they know who this guy is, and where he's getting this stuff." He looked down at the goop again, raising one of his gloves, the X glowing. "And if I remember correctly, they never said anything about wanting the goop, too."

WHO: Anyone willing to behave themselves for a nice Christmas party!
WHAT: Weiss's Housewarming/Christmas Eve Party
WHEN: Christmas Eve
WHERE: Team RWBY's new house
WARNINGS: Mistletoe is hung in one of the corners! Avoid it if you don't wanna get smooched! (But seriously if anyone has anything here that needs a warning please tell me.)

It's Christmas Eve and it's cold outside! Perhaps you should come in, enjoy some refreshments, chat, sing a song at the karaoke station, or open up your Secret Santa gifts? There's plenty of room to wander around and plenty of fun to be had! While furniture doesn't seem to be overly plentiful, there's a coat closet near the entrance and plenty of room for party guests in the family room, kitchen (where the food is!) and breakfast nook, and the outside deck. There are Christmasy pine garlands with signs that say "Guests are asked to remain in the party area! Thank you!" cutting off rooms beyond those and classy decorations adorning the designated party area (plus doilies at the dining table). At the center of the family room is a well-lit Christmas tree.

Naturally, if you have another location that you would like to direct your thread, you're welcome to make a thread of your own-- but if it's in an area that's off limits, unless your character is accompanied by one of Team RWBY (or are going to the restroom- which hopefully there won't be any threads for that) your character will get told to go back to the party if your character is caught! If they get caught more than once, they may be asked to leave. :( We don't want that!

The party evening will round out with Weiss and Blake singing a duet of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" for everyone, so please have a Merry Christmas! (And happy all holidays!)

[When Ty Lee went to sleep last night, she expected to wake up in the same jail cell she was left in. Waking up in some sort of cocoon in a completely different setting definitely confused her. Once she was awake, she didn't waste any time in trying to figure out what was going on. With the necklace under her shirt, she had the the packet under her arm after reading what she could before trying to use the communicator.]

How do you-- Oh! It's on!

So uhm... This probably sounds like a stupid question at this point, but...  Am I dreaming right now?

I get that we're in some strange new place from what I've found out so far, but it seems unlikely that I would be free to do as I wish considering what happened at home.

[She's not even elaborating on that because that seems like a bad idea right now.]

So this is 'Genessia'. [Her voice is slightly hoarse, barely feminine and her tone is somewhat... blasé]

Well I hope this world will be a better one. [She would say 'the right one' but that would sound way too optimistic for Raven.] ...And that they have Rooibos and a good library.

Anyway... Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy, Teen Titans. If any of you here have already heard those names and have something relevant to say about those, you can contact me.

[She seems about to cut the feed when she adds, as an afterthought.]

I'm also interested in learning more about Genessia and the other four cities.

...My name's Raven.

[End of transmission.]
