[Action] At the hospital
WHO: Anyone~
WHAT: Koishi is in the hospital after getting hit by a tank. Blame Keifka.
WHERE: Genessia Hospital.
WHEN: Backdated to Feb 5th-6th.
WARNINGS: Mild description of Koishi's non-human anatomy, injuries, and treatment. Overwhelming cuteness. Potential feels.
With the degree of damage to her bones and a punctured lung, there was no way to help Koishi without surgery and working on her had not been very easy for the doctors involved. Her internal anatomy didn't even remotely resemble a human's, despite having a similar appearance.
Fortunately the operation went well, the little youkai more robust than many of the humans that were normally worked on. Her bones had broken into fragments large enough to reassemble, and her healing factor eliminated the need for metal plates, the bone glue more than sufficient. Coupled with the blood transfusion from her sister Koishi was expected to make a full and speedy recovery.
***
Koishi was allowed a room to herself as she recovered to increase the ease of observation for the doctors and to minimize her bothering of the other patients. Much of her upper back and her entire left arm were wrapped in a rigid cast reinforced with steel rods. A plastic receiver for an IV had been placed in a large vein above Koishi's left shoulder, the cast wrapped around it an ensuring it wouldn't move.
While the surgery had been easy, her recovery was more difficult due to her boundless energy and impatience. The little youkai had already broken the plaster of several casts, the doctors finally buckling her down to the bed to keep her in place, though they were sure to keep her supervised via several cameras.
The icing on the cake was how ineffective anesthetics were on her metabolism. Anything oral had little to no effect. Painkillers given through an IV seemed to work well enough in youkai sized doses, though anything short of completely knocking her out failed to calm her. To make matters worse, the painkillers seemed to make her forget she was injured altogether, Koishi hurting herself more than once in her efforts to alleviate her boredom, and further justifying the heavy straps keeping hr in bed.
Other than that she was a pretty good patient. She allowed the doctors and nurses to run tests and tend to her. Perhaps only because it was something new to break up her day, but it no doubt helped them immensely. She did fuss some at first until her hat was returned, the beloved article currently hanging on a coat rack in one corner of the room.
So now, a day after the surgery, she was stuck. Strapped to a bed, ignoring the cartoons a kind nurse had turned on for her, squirming impatiently, dying for something to happen. For someone to visit.

"Also, Mister. I don't have wings." She seemed a little puzzled. "I'm a satori youkai. None of us do. Our power comes from our youki. Just like other youkai!"
She looked a bit thoughtful at his next comment. "I'm not really a writer." She pointed to her sister in the corner, drawing further attention to him. Attention he no doubt wanted to avoid. "Sis is a really good writer though. She writes all sorts of things. She might write it if you ask really nicely." She was squirming a little under the covers. I'm good at talking though. I can tell you if you want."
Wow. It was almost as if she had forgotten about the- no she was still looking at the tray he brought. "The food here is icky so sis brings me things to eat. So I don't need anything, but if you brought sweets we can share them, okay?"

"No, no, don't mention the incident. I'm sorry for bringing it up; it won't do to fill your leafy head with thoughts of injury when you ought to be recovering. Bury them deep, and we may go grave-digging another time. As penance I offer you all of the sweets; it won't do for a danseur to diet frivolously anyway. Well, I'd best be off before I say something careless again; not a peep more out of me, except in prayer. Farewell Koishi."
Judging you...! ~~( O )~~
Listening to Koishi and Ted's banter for long enough, Satori replied in a rather calm, even tone. However, more so to the fool's fear of her than to what he'd actually said. Her third eye peeked over the side and stared, while Satori still had her face engrossed in her reading. The eye had a distinct quality around people like these. The feeling that, somehow, it was staring through your gut and soul. It was the primal fear of /being watched/.
"As if you haven't thought of anything unwise, already. Knowing the unusual company my sister keeps, around here, I've a reason to be a little suspicious of someone with a mind that's as eccentric as it is unfocused on anything sensible."
And with a small smile, she added, as if she'd almost forgot a detail...
"Ah yes, I'll give you /some/ credit, at least. You're, by far, the least harmless. Directly."
Stop it Sis! I mean... Yeah its funny but it's also not nice!
She did turn her attention to Satori when she spoke, the elder sister's glowing gaze was more than a little intimidating from her spot in the corner. Koishi didn't seem phased though, and she let the pink haired youkai speak her mind. "Sis?" Koishi was pouting a little bit. "It's not nice to answer people's thoughts. Or comment on them. Even if they're unkind. Ted is a nice person so don't be too hard on him, okay?" Her eye was slightly open. "It would be bad if the storm came back with fire and sticks. Turning that away was really upsetting..."
She looked back up at Ted, brightening again. She reached over to the table, blue tendrils with a large soft spade winding out of her sleeve, lifting a cookie off of the table. Tentacles were very useful when one was confined to a bed. She lifted it toward her visitor. "It's okay. You can stay longer. Sis is just grumpy because she's stressed because she's away from her pets and she tends to yell at other people when that happens."
Re: Stop it Sis! I mean... Yeah its funny but it's also not nice!
That mind-reading menace was draining what little composure he had. Worse, Satori had aroused his curiosity with cryptic talk. Apparently, impenetrable speech is hereditary, though for Koishi it was an abundance of whimsy; for Satori, layers of sarcasm and double negatives. 'Least harmless'? Did that mean he was dangerous, and directly so? What on earth did she mean by that?
And then he knew that he had sprung her trap. A ponderous mind tends to linger, like an idle deer in an iron sight. That eye nearly froze him, transfixed. His animal cunning mixed with his limited social intelligence. Satori had mocked him with reference to distance; his goal: erasure of proximity. He'd use his feet to create feet, oh yes!
Koishi, you lied to him. You said she was "super-nice." An innocent blunder, no doubt caused by love covering objectivity. "Oh, no I insist you keep them. Wouldn't want to be an Indian giver, would I?" He turned toward her malevolent sister.
"Ah, no worries. I'm the picture of sanity, which makes for dull reading. I leave you with more interesting material." For once in his life, he dearly wished someone found him boring. A few cautious steps back out the door, waving, and then he's off like a shot down the halls for dear, sweet mental solitude.

That really set the mood, didn't it. The story of her life, really. It had reminded her of a deep, well-hidden memory. Pain showed on her face for about a half-second in a slightly-saddened wince.
That was perfectly fine. Leave it to the fool to back out once challenged, like that. He really shouldn't have, she thought to herself, sighing heavily as she watched him bolt. "...Mh. And I had half a mind that he'd have something else to say. A little more banter in him, perhaps. And surely, he should've been able to take a little criticism." Her comments were mostly toward Koishi, at this point. "Perhaps he really is ignorant, after all." she mumbled, returning to her reading, waiting for someone a little less...judgmental.
