[Action] At the hospital
WHO: Anyone~
WHAT: Koishi is in the hospital after getting hit by a tank. Blame Keifka.
WHERE: Genessia Hospital.
WHEN: Backdated to Feb 5th-6th.
WARNINGS: Mild description of Koishi's non-human anatomy, injuries, and treatment. Overwhelming cuteness. Potential feels.
With the degree of damage to her bones and a punctured lung, there was no way to help Koishi without surgery and working on her had not been very easy for the doctors involved. Her internal anatomy didn't even remotely resemble a human's, despite having a similar appearance.
Fortunately the operation went well, the little youkai more robust than many of the humans that were normally worked on. Her bones had broken into fragments large enough to reassemble, and her healing factor eliminated the need for metal plates, the bone glue more than sufficient. Coupled with the blood transfusion from her sister Koishi was expected to make a full and speedy recovery.
***
Koishi was allowed a room to herself as she recovered to increase the ease of observation for the doctors and to minimize her bothering of the other patients. Much of her upper back and her entire left arm were wrapped in a rigid cast reinforced with steel rods. A plastic receiver for an IV had been placed in a large vein above Koishi's left shoulder, the cast wrapped around it an ensuring it wouldn't move.
While the surgery had been easy, her recovery was more difficult due to her boundless energy and impatience. The little youkai had already broken the plaster of several casts, the doctors finally buckling her down to the bed to keep her in place, though they were sure to keep her supervised via several cameras.
The icing on the cake was how ineffective anesthetics were on her metabolism. Anything oral had little to no effect. Painkillers given through an IV seemed to work well enough in youkai sized doses, though anything short of completely knocking her out failed to calm her. To make matters worse, the painkillers seemed to make her forget she was injured altogether, Koishi hurting herself more than once in her efforts to alleviate her boredom, and further justifying the heavy straps keeping hr in bed.
Other than that she was a pretty good patient. She allowed the doctors and nurses to run tests and tend to her. Perhaps only because it was something new to break up her day, but it no doubt helped them immensely. She did fuss some at first until her hat was returned, the beloved article currently hanging on a coat rack in one corner of the room.
So now, a day after the surgery, she was stuck. Strapped to a bed, ignoring the cartoons a kind nurse had turned on for her, squirming impatiently, dying for something to happen. For someone to visit.

Sister, to the rescue! ~\( o)/~
However, despite her desire to revenge herself on the reprobate who'd harmed her dear Koishi, Satori had to see to it that she'd be alright, after all. Her sister being as fragile as she was, Satori hardly wanted to feel as if she hadn't done her job, properly, and kept her out of things like this. And most of the time, if it came to injuries, Satori had always taken care of that, herself, so she distrusted the whole idea of having other people meddle with her...
After waiting for what seemed like hours, doing what she could in order to suppress the harmful mental noise of the public around her with varying degrees of success, Satori was finally admitted into Koishi's hospital room, carrying a rather small basket. Amidst a few other things, it smells vaguely of fruit and also contained one of Satori's one anonymous books, which she'd been reading to pass the time.
Upon entering the room, she couldn't help but notice her sister's restlessness and ennui, and especially those cruel-looking straps. Was Koishi attempting to escape, despite her wounds? It seemed a little cruel, didn't it? It hurt her just as much as anything else, but at once, she felt relieved...
If she thought right, Koishi would be safe, and that was all that truly mattered. Now, to see if she was awake enough to let her occupy a little of her time. And if neither of these were the case, she'd have some words with someone, to be sure.
In time, she supposed that Koishi might stir, but her younger sister didn't seem all that responsive, as she waited in the room. Eventually, the elder satori fell asleep, still watching over her with her trio of half-lidded eyes...
SIS! YOU'RE HERE! SMOOOOOCH! ~( –)(o )~
Also, that beeping and whirring was kind of annoying...
As her mental haze cleared and her outline sharpened she became aware of a familiar presence. Forcing back the abstraction clouding her mind and vision, her third eye opened slightly, tracking her gaze as it settled on her older sister. She blinked once in surprise, looking around to ensure she wasn't at home before turning back to Satori.
Koishi's smile softened and she reached out, placing a hand gently on her hair. Her eye opened a little further as she reached out with her power, saturating the room and wrapping Satori's mind in blissful, well-deserved quiet and easing her dreams.
She didn't wake the elder youkai. Waiting wasn't so bad. After all, she wasn't going anywhere.

"I see you rather dislike being confined in bed. One never really does outgrow a distaste for curfew, do they?"
A smarter man might've checked whether it agreed with the hospital to bring in outside food. And yet, there he was, rummaging around in his bag and producing a tray of cookies, filled with jam.
"You had quite the sweet tooth at the party, so I thought it might need indulging again. I won't tell if you won't. What sort of trouble does a satori youkai get into to merit this sort of trouble?"
no subject
Koishi was already looking at the door when it opened, the little youkai bouncing, or at least trying to. The bed straps made that difficult. Koishi's arm and part of her torso were wrapped in a cast immobilizing her for the most part. "Mister! Hello!" Well at least she seemed to remember him.
She jittered as he approached, the bed straps groaning in protest. "Yeah! It's so boring here. Dull and bothersome. I want to fly again!" She pouted, though her eyes flicked to the basket at the mention of sweets.
She decided to answer his question first. "There was a big tower and Mister Big's car was all broken outside of it and then a Not-Mister Big showed up and Miss White told me to go without her. So Miss Music and I flew up and attacked the tower! And there was a tank inside and it drove into me... But we won the fight! Miss Music is good at making things explode!"
no subject
"Goodness, those painkillers must have really done a number on you. All in a tizzy with nary a solid proper noun to go around!" Wait, that would mean the mention of a tank was true. What sort of business did this whimsical fairy, er, youkai have with modern heavy artillery?
But then, dredging up painful memories for no reason than to slake Ted's curiosity was a mistake he wasn't intent on repeating, so he shoved that burning question down.
"Well, if you should ever decide to make a record of it, I will endeavor to read it wholeheartedly. Probably for the best you keep your wings tucked in, lest you give us all another scare. Is there anything else you'd like aside from liberty?"
no subject
"Also, Mister. I don't have wings." She seemed a little puzzled. "I'm a satori youkai. None of us do. Our power comes from our youki. Just like other youkai!"
She looked a bit thoughtful at his next comment. "I'm not really a writer." She pointed to her sister in the corner, drawing further attention to him. Attention he no doubt wanted to avoid. "Sis is a really good writer though. She writes all sorts of things. She might write it if you ask really nicely." She was squirming a little under the covers. I'm good at talking though. I can tell you if you want."
Wow. It was almost as if she had forgotten about the- no she was still looking at the tray he brought. "The food here is icky so sis brings me things to eat. So I don't need anything, but if you brought sweets we can share them, okay?"
no subject
"No, no, don't mention the incident. I'm sorry for bringing it up; it won't do to fill your leafy head with thoughts of injury when you ought to be recovering. Bury them deep, and we may go grave-digging another time. As penance I offer you all of the sweets; it won't do for a danseur to diet frivolously anyway. Well, I'd best be off before I say something careless again; not a peep more out of me, except in prayer. Farewell Koishi."
Judging you...! ~~( O )~~
Stop it Sis! I mean... Yeah its funny but it's also not nice!

I aaaalmost crashed the thread with Satori but nah I'll do my own thing :3
But hospitals make him nervous, and what he has with him makes him even more nervous. From the doorway Luke is peering in shyly.
"Koishi?"
He's almost whispering from his position in the door. Also did something from his little bag just let out a quiet yip? "Oh--shh, Suna. If the nurses hear you, we're going to get into a lot of trouble."
xD haha
"Little Human!" She sounded absolutely elated, sitting up- "Ow... Ow- OW! Ow..." Okay so she couldn't really sit up, her ribs, of course, having to shift if she curls or flexes her back. There was probably a button somewhere to prop the bed up, but it was doubtful Koishi had that kind of patience.
She reached out with her good arm toward him. "Little Human! Come here! Come heeeerrreee!"
Luke better hurry up. Or else Koishi might just break her restraints and cast... again...
Idk if she'll want to get involved here after Suna jumps on her
"H-hey! Hold still! You...you have to be careful, Koishi!"
Oh, he's anxious--not just anxious but downright scared. Koishi was really hurt after all. To see her as beaten up as she is is enough to leave 'Little Human' looking obviously distressed. "Y...you'll hurt yourself more!"
Swallowing, Luke places his bag on the bed, opening the flap. "Look who I brought to visit--you have to promise you won't go flailing about though, or I'll take her right back home, as you're supposed to be resting!"
A fluffy head pokes out of the bag, letting out a soft yip and sniffing the air. Suna's big ears and then her big eyes turn to the girl sitting in the chair and she jumps immediately out of the bag, bolting into the lap of the the reading visitor.
"Suna!"
REALLY THIS VISIT IS OFF TO A GREAT START
Excellent! ~( +)~!!
"Good afternoon, Luke. I'm pleased to see you've taken care of Suna, as I expected of you. She seems rather content..." Ruffling the furry visitor, Satori added, with a little amused lilt to her voice... "Aren't you, Suna?" Absorbed in her reading as she seemed to be, the mind-reading elder sister continued to pet Suna, replying from behind her book, eventually lowering it after a while. Her third eye flickered its pupil and extracted surface thoughts from the boy as well as the animal.
Normally, one would catch a scowl or a flat expression crossing her features, but things were different. She had a very small smile, however slightly. It was rare that Satori would look legitmately happy, but in the presence of animals and her sister, her dour demeanour would give way, once in a while.
Only to return again, a moment later, of course. She didn't want to have such an embarrassing look on her face any longer than she had to, in public. She continued, in as close to a compliment as she'd be able to give, even to someone as mild-mannered as this young human.
"I've been keeping watch on my sister for some time, since her injuries, and I appreciate your lack of cowardice, around us. It's refreshing to see into a trustworthy mind."
Sis. You really should smile more.
"I promise I won't flail. It hurts to flail. Thank you Little Human. You're really-" A pause, the younger sister blinking in surprise as Suna poked her nose out of the bag... and then hopped out, bolted across the bed, and over to Satori. Koishi held out her hand as Suna passed, getting in one good pet before the fox left her reach.
"Aww you brought Suna." The artery over her left shoulder twisted once more into a heart. "You made sis happy. That's not easy to do so quickly. You're really talented!" She turned to her sister. "And Siiiis! Don't wear a sour badge when you're feeling all pink and crackly. That gives a bad impression and Luke might not find out how sweet you are!" Clearly Koishi was missing the point of Satori's stoic mask.
She turned back up to Luke. "Little human! I'm happy you're visiting. I'm so bored in here! But now I'm not because I have a visiter!" With her good arm, Koishi reached over to the table and picked up a plum, holding it out to Luke. "Here! You can have one. A nice frog lady planted a plum tree at home and it always has lots of delicious plums. You should try one!"
The fruit looked absolutely immaculate and smelled sweet and delicious. Luke, you're in for a treat.

"YO, PARTNER! How ya doing, kid?"
no subject
"Mister Stripes!" Absolutely elated, the little youkai already scooting sideways in the bed toward him. Or at least as much as the restraints allowed. At least she was already sitting up in bed. "I'm feeling better! A nice man in a white coat with a dangly thing around his neck poked me in the shoulder and that hurt but then he attached that bag to it and now my arm feels cold and doesn't hurt." She gestured to the IV bag with her free hand. From the looks of it the bag was filled with some pretty strong stuff.

"What... oh... OH!" She tried to sit up more. "It was that big tower and- ow! And Mister Big's car was- ow! And-OW!" She fell back onto the pillow, huffing dejectedly.
"Mm... Miss Music and I went up to attack the tower after leaving Miss White to fight the fake Mister Big. There was a room full of important things and there was this big tank in it and the tank drove into me and hit a wall. It hurt a lot... No fair I wanna get up. I want a hug. Mister Striiiipes! I want a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug!"
no subject
He listened to her explanation with growing anger. She was his partner, damn it, and he couldn't let people just go around hitting her with tanks! He chuckled at her request.
"Okay, okay, have a hug, then. Have all the hugs you want!" Betelgeuse told her, opening his arms to her. He never turned down hugs or kisses. He didn't get many of them, after all. "Just tell me this. Do you know who was driving the tank?"

Begrudging visit, go!
That was a universal fact in the eyes of one Nonon Jakuzure. She had no place attaching herself to Satsuki. Her wild, unpredictable nature made her a liability in a group that favored subterfuge. She was loud, didn't understand what personal space meant, and spoke in such an odd way that even understanding her was difficult at time.
None of that changed the fact that she had fought, and fought hard, alongside the petite musician. She had been wounded badly, and Nonon couldn't help but feel a little responsible. She was, herself, loud mouthed and difficult to get along with at times, but the small satori had managed to make herself show up on her radar by winning a small measure of the girl's respect. She had shown that she wasn't JUST a foolish child of a girl, she had shown resilience that Nonon had not expected, lashing out at their enemy even when it looked like she should barely be able to move.
Still, she has no idea what she should be say or do, she just feels like she should come to visit. And that is why she's there now, carrying a little box. Inside of it? Chocolate, not overly fancy, but Nonon had thought enough to not buy the cheapest she could find. Sugar might not be the best gift for a girl overly hyperactive as Koishi, but it seemed a safe bet she would like sweets.
When she sees the girl is strapped down, it doesn't surprise her at all. Instead, it elicits a sigh of undisguised annoyance. "You have to rest to get better, you know." Its about as friendly a greeting as she can manage.
I HOPE YOUR BODY IS READY!
"Miss Music!" The little satori almost squealed the name, shifting in her bed and trying to sit up. "Miss Music- ow. I just ow... ow. OW! ow ow ow... Ow." She had managed to sit up with the help of the railing beside the bed, the cast creaking a little as she strained against it. With her strength it would no doubt need to be replaced again soon. She eventually found and pressed the button that slowly... slowly raised the bed up to her new position, allowing the bed to support her back.
For her to sit up with such extensive injuries... Those were either some really good painkillers or the little youkai had a great pain tolerance.
"Miss Music! You came to visit! I'm glad you're okay. I was really scared you would get hit in that fight. I would have been really really sad and visited you ever day if you had."
It may be, but my soul is not!
And yet she was at least attempting to be now. The musician's own injuries had been rather mild, some scorching from getting a bit too close to flying fireballs and missiles, but they scarcely held her back. Not like poor Koishi's had.
"Its....oh never mind." Yep, totally giving up. Miss Music is at least not insulting. "Calm down, you'll just hurt yourself if you get all hyper. Put a little thought into your actions!" She's being a bit gruff, but not overly mean. There's a tiny bit of concern in her words that one doesn't need psychic powers to notice.
"I brought you something. The doctors said it would be okay." The chocolate is sat next to the youkai's bed. "But don't go crazy and try and eat it all at once, you'll just make things worse and....geez, I sound like someone's mom. Just be good, okay? You'll be out of here in no time."
I shall slather your body and soul in cuteness! SLATHER I SAY!
"I can't think about my actions! My head broke a long time ago and now thinking is hard sometimes." She said that way too cheerfully as she made herself comfortable once more in the bed. "But that's okay it doesn't usually get in the way because I'm still careful most of the time!" Apparently that time was not now. At least she was calming down a little.
It didn't last. She perked up significantly at the idea of a gift, her glowing eyes locking on the box of sweets. "Wow! Miss Music that's a really pretty box. I bet whats inside will be really nice too! Thank you!" She held up her good arm, tendrils sliding out of her sleeve. Well, most of them did. One of the points was not covered making the whole sight quite a bit creepier. They snaked over and gingerly picked up a plum, offering it to Jakuzure.
"Here. You can have this too Miss Music. It's a plum that sis brought up from old hell. I have a whole bunch of them because the tree always has a bunch. Miss Frog planted the tree. The fruit is always sweet." Better take it Nonon. Koishi wont take no for an answer.
Just going to slide in here..

Bad Kefka
So once he'd nagged his own doctors into letting him at least get down the hall to talk to her, he came hobbling into her room, ignoring the pain in his strained ankle and the burns on his arms. Ouch. It definitely looked like she'd had the worst of it in that fight. At least Kefka was destroyed-- to first hurt Terra, and now this?
"Koishi...how're you feeling?" he asked, taking a seat by the bed.
He's a big meanypants!
The green haired satori blinked and turned to the sound of the door as it opened, her eyes and smile immediately brightening. "Mister Jump!" It seemed Koishi had picked out a nickname for him at long last. She wiggled against the straps, the entire bed creaking in protest. "I'm feeling good! The drip drip bag helps." There must have been painkillers in her IV.
"How are you?" A pause. "You look hurt. Oh no! Are you okay? What happened?" Before he could react she had put her apple down, picking another one off of the bedside table, leaning up a little bit to offer it to him. "Here! Apples will help."
Yes, yes he is.
Mr. Jump...? Well, it did seem to fit, he supposed. "Ah... I wouldn't squirm so much, Koishi, I'm right here," he said, giving her a gentle little pat on the head. He was glad she was pleased to see him, at least.
At which point - before he even had a chance to answer - an apple was thrust in his face. Well, he wouldn't say no to that one. "Thank you, yes, I imagine that will help." Midboos took a bite of the apple, before giving a gesture to the flight charm pinned to his jacket; "I will be fine, us demons heal rather quickly from wounds like this. I fought off one of the guardian statues outside Kefka's tower, to bring down the barrier...The charm you gave me helped a great deal. Thank you for that."
"I gather you had the misfortune of dealing with his forces as well?"
He should be put in time-out! >:C
"I'm at least glad the pin helped. Mister Stripes was in here earlier and he runs the danmaku school. When you get better one you should go there and he'll give you a better one if you join. We don't have very many of them yet but we don't have a whole bunch of students so it's okay."
She looked back over to the television, pursing her lips as she raised the apple to her mouth and took a bite, chewing it as she turned back to him. "Yeah. Miss Music and I went into a room full of big crystals. There were people inside of them and there was a big tank thing with a gun guarding them all. Miss Music and I killed it but it rammed me into a wall first and it broke my whole arm and lots more."
Until he learns his lesson and starts to play nicely >(
Indeed!
